These pans are horrible. They easily stick and hard to clean and surface scratches easily. I know it is past the 30 days since ordering BUT i really wish I could return them. I recently starting to use them and discovered how much I hate them. Very disappointed with this product.

Amazing high quality set for a budding home chef. I ordered this set for my nephew who’s in his 20’s and out on his own. He asked for a set of “good” stainless cookware and I knew the Calphalon brand is synonymous with quality. It did not disappoint and I was so proud to give this set as a gift.

I absolutely love these pans but for some reason water gets trapped in all the lids between the glass and the metal. I can’t get it out and it’s still there after leaving it out to evaporate overnight. I’ve filed a warranty claim and they are sending me new lids but I feel like it’s a design issue and may happen again. Someone on another review suggested to leave in a 290° oven for 30 min for the water to evaporate. I may try that but it’s just annoying.

Refunding not the quality I was looking for. I will have to upgrade to a better quality. This was actually my mistake. I thought I could get the quality I wanted but cheaper. I already own Calphalon cook ware and love it. It was the stackable set and more expensive, that is much better. You get what you pay for.

Somewhat of a let down

They state the handles are “stay-cool stainless steel handles provide heat resistance when cooking on the stovetop”, but this is somewhat false. The “lid” handles get very hot, but because the “pot” handles are long, they are able to say this. Also, if you don’t wipe them dry right away, the water stains both the inside and outside.

Excellent set at a fantastic price

I've been looking for a heavy set of cooking ware for months and this one popped up at a great sale price. I've started cooking more since we are home all the time and I needed something that was thicker and heavier to provide that slow cook nuance. As I unpacked these and especially once I started using these, you can tell the quality and it definitely does make a difference when cooking as well. My food is coming out better and having a lot less "burning" episodes. It makes a difference even if you are not the best cook like me. I know some people might not like cleaning the non-stick set but it's not really even an issue with these because of the quality. I routinely cook eggs and omelets and cleanup is not a problem and it's so much safer than the non-stick services I used to use. Highly recommend.

Not for me

I've always used non-stick (for over 15 years) and I just could not get the hang of these, they are a nightmare to clean and use, even after following the instructions my food burned, oil popped at me, pans were a disaster after just one use. Will probably buy higher rated non-stick. I know a lot of people swear by the steel style and it's versatility, but I guess it's not for me. Non-stick had never been a problem for me in regards to versatility, I'm not one to fry for a few minutes and then "finish off" in the oven. 90% of my cooking is done on stove top.

I can’t say enough great things about this cookware set. They’re so much more durable than the non-stick pans and I adore being able to use stainless steel utensils with them because they last so long! These pots and pans are incredibly easy to clean with steel wool pads regardless of what you’ve cooked in them or how sticky it is. The vents in the lids are amazing and the pour sprouts simplify draining so much! They’re also visually appealing and would look great on display in your kitchen.

Long story short... great set.

Initially I had the Analon/nonstick set, I recieved as a gift in November 2016. I wrote a positive review for the 10 piece set, my opinion has since changed. Being a home cook, quality and performance means a lot to me and it affects my abilities and the outcome of finished food. 9 months into use I noticed some marring of the nonstick along with some minor flaking, chips and scratches in the coating. Calphalon told me that would be normal. I DO NOT like that and WILL NOT live with that. My utensils are silicone, plastic, wood and some are even the Calphalon brand. I Hand wash with Dawn dish soap and a fabric scrubber. A couple times I did put pieces in the dishwasher to experiment and those were the pieces that seemed to show the issues mentioned above. Calphalon states dishwasher, metal utensil safe, I do not recommend it for either set, my preference. Plus the Analon/non-stick coating always had spots or chalky residue while all other dishes never have had spot problems. Spotting/residue only occurred during the heated dry cycle, if I intercepted to towel dry, no spots. My preference is Finish Powerball "All in One" tablets with Jet Dry. Dissatisfied I called Macy's, they were willing to accept them back, the whole set even my additional pieces I paid cash for and could not find the receipt. I called Calphalon for more information. Spoke with a CSR, I was not happy. Calphalon worked with me and I requested the Signature Stainless Steel line for a replacement, I DID NOT want non-stick anymore. Calphalon swapped my whole set even the additional pieces outside of the 10 piece set. Some pieces between the two sets did not have matching pieces and Calphalon worked with me to give a suitable replacement of my choice. Of course it was a process but well worth it and they made it hassle free for my time and convenience. The Signature Stainless Steel is far more superior in my opinion and just as good as some of the other brands that are twice the price. These pots and pans have improved my cooking and make it a more enjoyable experience. They work fantastic on my glass stove. I use Pam/butter and preheat on low, works great. Sometimes I just wipe the cooking residue off and pan is good as new. They can be "seasoned" in a way similar to cast iron I've read. I wash them by hand with blue Dawn (I prefer handles and crevices to be washed frequently) occasionally some Bar Keepers Stainless Cleaner with a fabric scrubber. When food sticks like cheese in a sauce I use a plastic scrubber with hot water on the residue. They look great, clean up nice. This set does require some maintenance and fairly heavy yet well worth the effort for a superior product that delivers satisfactory results everytime. This is now my lifetime set. Many thanks to Macy's for working with me intitially to make a return however Calphalon stood behind their product and listened to my concerns and my wish to switch over from non-stick to Stainless Steel. I would highly recommend Calphalon on the Signature Stainless set even over the pricier brands. This is a GREAT value. Calphalon and Macy's has a loyal customer here. Disappointed!

I purchased this set as a holiday gift for my daughter and son-in-law. The lids do not securely fit the pots. When they cook rice etc, the lids rattle and do not hold the heat well. Considering the cost of this set, this is a deal breaker. Is it possible that this set is defective?

Beaeutiful and functional

The beauty of Ebay is that sometimes you can find a wonderful value for the money. Do I believe in paying full retail for anything? Not really. So this particular Calphalon Signature 10 piece series is an exceptional value for the price that I paid. Five ply stainless with a lifetime warranty? Yep. It is durable, attractive, functional, relatively easy to clean, dishwasher safe and it all works wonderfully. Please note that this stuff is heavy, durable and well made. Be prepared to fee the weight in your hand as you lift each piece. Check the online reviews to verify the quality. I am grateful to have found this at the price that I found it at. Thank you ,
