I purchased this bed for my three-year-old approximately one year ago. What attracted me to this was how low the bed was. And it is indeed pretty low which is great for my three year old. Assembly was not notably difficult. However, the material quality is subpar. The frame for the headboard is remarkably thin, which compromises its appearance.
A wonderful piece of furniture! I got this one used and let me tell you there was nothing wrong with it!
Well constructed headboard and frame. Love the color! So very happy. I was nervous ordering furniture online. Very pleased. Will definitely Wayfair again!!
The bed was easy to put together, there were a couple screws missing, but I was able to replace that myself. The bed is low, which is what I wanted, I have a Chihuahua, and I wanted to make sure it could jump on the bed and jump off without hurting itself. This bed is perfect for her.
Terrible product. There is a gap between the headboard and the wall which makes the headboard unusable. In addition the running board is about one inch higher in the middle. There are multiple screw holes with no screw and instead you need drill wood screws next to it.
Only brings your mattress about 8” off of the floor. Too low for my liking. The review that suggested it’s an oversized toddler bed hit the nail on the head. Furthermore, each side is two separate pieces that are held together with one plate and a leg. Because of this I fear this bed will not hold up overtime. Even sliding it around the room stresses weak joinery.
I ordered Millwood Pines, Size: Full and Color: Espresso but you delivered queen size and the color is Oak.
Nice looking bed, but several of the screws malfunctioned, but Elmers Wood glue solved that problem. Not worth the trouble of sending the bed back. For as much as we expect to use it, it will do fine. Also, I called to confirm how high the headboard was and was told it is 25 inches high. I asked if that was from the floor level and they said yes. It’s actually closer to 38 inches from the floor. It works out better for me.
Good god this bed is terrible. It looks so. Cheap. The pieces and hardware are minimal to say the least so it’s not very sturdy. The headboard is some kind of comical cardboard composite material. Not even remotely worth what I paid for it. That being said, I has so far survived a move and reassemble so I guess thats worth noting.
Like others, I am disappointed in this product in that it does feel cheap albeit it is indeed solid wood. Instructions were fine. I purchased the espresso color and it’s not what I imagined at all—some manufacturers’ espresso is more of a black color—this manufacturer’s espresso looks more like a dark cherry. My furniture doesn’t match now. :( I’m keeping it because returning will be a hassle. I’ll have to find some accent pieces to tie the furniture and room together.
This bed is awful. Look at my pictures and you will see how different legs of that bed. Slats cannot be placed well on a frame either. One side appears higher than the other side. You can also see it on my pictures. It is a horrible quality. I'd give minus one star but I had to pick 1 star because minus one was not offered for a selection. Never buy that bed and don't listen to those who say it's a good quality bed. I showed you everything.
Warning! The wood material is very soft and prone to splitting. The bed rails are two pieces attached in the middle resting on a small mitered leg that doubles as a middle support and, in my opinion is the weakest part. I know because it split during assembly. The bed slats and center supports are nicely done. The frame sits maybe 3 inches from the ground and is not all that convenient being 6'1". We are not all that happy with the spend and are staring at a $400.00 mistake. I would reccomend looking at a different frame and avoiding this one completely.
I chose walnut as our bedroom furniture is from the 70'S. It was a great match. It is low but I like it as I am only five feet tall. We have low box springs and an eight inch thick tempurpedic mattress. It was to replace a huge sleigh bed. The bedroom looks much larger now. it took my 67 Year old husband about three hours to put it together by himself. I think it is great that the cats can't get under it so we don't have to deal with them throwing up under the bed anymore. We love it!
Once together it seems pretty sturdy and we are happy with the color. We chose Cherry. It does sit very low to the ground as other reviewers stated, but it’s perfect sitting height. There is no clearance to put anything under the bed. Packing and handling was horrible but shipping was fast. I was surprised there was minimal damage and all the pieces were present considering the condition of the box. (See photos) We got the bed on sale and applied a gift card so it wasn’t expensive however at full list price I would have been very disappointed. Assembly wasn’t too difficult with two people.
