Manufacturing issues, but a nice bed frame overall

Nice bed. The fact that there are no pilot holes or screw anchors in the side rails to attach the crossbar supports to is *a huge problem*. You're going to be OK if you use a drill, but you're going to have a bad time if you don't. One star removal for that and for some blemishes on parts. Overstock will not let you discuss shipping issues in reviews, but rest assured that there were some minor ones that do not affect my opinion of this product but should weigh into your decision to do business with them at all.

Worth every penny

This bedroom set is as beautiful in real life as it is in the pictures, and is built solid enough for everyday use. I expect it will be the last bedroom set I'll ever need to buy. I give it four of five stars because the materials (read wood) I suspect is a composite wood material with a very convincing laminate overlay - but I'm not an expert so I could be completely wrong. Perhaps the wood used is simply very light weight (though it appears very strong and not flimsy in the least). This makes it easy to move when you need to, unlike a desk I own that is solid mahogany and weighs several hundred pounds. But the desk cost $3,000 when new, so I didn't expect the same quality. The furniture is very attractive, solidly built and isn't like what you find at most chain furniture stores so in my book that makes this bedroom set worth every penny. As for the sales experience, I have to say that buying was a simple matter and Coleman handled the sale and shipping with aplomb. My only complaint is with the delivery company, while the white glove service was performed with exemplary customer service, they held on to my furniture for four weeks before delivering it. I have a hard time understanding why I had to wait a month for something that was sitting in a local warehouse. To be clear, that isn't Coleman's fault, it is the delivery company's. After several phone calls back and forth they were unwilling to do anything except deliver it on a date of their convenience rather than mine. Overall the furniture is highly rated, the sales experience was fantastic, and only the slow delivery put a small damper on an otherwise great purchase.

great queen sleigh bed

Purchased this for my son's room as he needed to upgrade to a queen bed. Wanted something that would continue to work as a spare room when he leaves home in a couple of years. The bed is very sturdy, was easily put together and looks great. Works perfectly for him now and will be beautiful as a spare bed later. Definitely worth the price! Looks much more expensive.

Beautiful! Love it!

We bought this bed frame when our old one broke. I always wanted a sleigh bed and this one is so beautiful. It seems very well made except there were 2 boards that hold up that were nearly too short. I pushed the wooden side with my feet while my husband screwed it in so it would work. There was one hole that was not all the way drilled through also but it was thin enough to punch out like a chad. Other than that I believe it is really well made and of good quality.

We are absolutely thrilled with this bed!!

We have been looking for several months for the right bed: wanted something solid and sturdy, with nice curves, but not too dramatic. I could not believe it when I got this amazing price on this bed and was thinking I may be disappointed ... The day after ( hear this: the very next day !!) The bed was at my front door. I have never received anything that quickly. My boyfriend assembled it easily, raving about the quality for the price , how easily it all went together. We have had it now for a couple of weeks. It is solidly constructed, plenty of room underneath it for my boxes of shoes, we couldn't be happier !! I highly recommend it and in fact half to three people who asked about it !

Very Pleased

The Sleigh Bed arrived with some cosmetic shipping damage. Overstock immediately offered multiple choices to me to make the transaction good. In fact they made it good twice! A few days after I had accepted a discount, a replacement part arrived on my door step. No longer needed as I had repaired the cosmetic damage but you can't beat a double response. About the bed. Not difficult to assemble if you have any experience with kit furniture, one person can do it, two makes it faster. Seems sturdy when connectors are tightly installed, no movement, no squeaking. After two weeks of use it became apparent the overall bed height was a problem and possible safety risk to my physically impaired wife. Today I lowered the be 5 inches by cutting off all 4 legs equally. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the legs were of solid, high density wood, not manufactured board covered with veneer. Similar products in local furniture store are priced a $900 to $1200 so I am very with this purchase and readily recommend it to anyone else interested in this style and size bed.

Economical sleigh bed

I love the lush dark cappuccino color. It has a lot of parts, but, is easy to assemble (took me about 45 minutes without any help and stopping to do other things). It looks like a more expensive bed; however, it's as described made of particle board. Yet, it's pretty sound, solid and heavy (nothing flimsy about it). Great buy!

The assembly was easy and all pieces fit together with the screw holes all lining up accurately. The wood finish and stain is even and without flaw. The side boards fit nicely with the head board and foot board and the assembled bed is very solid.
