Extremely Diificult to Cut

As a first time DIY project this product looks nice but was exceptionally hard to cut especially around the electrical sockets. The glass is too thick to cut / break with a glass cutter. The instructional videos make it look simple but it was not. Further, once applied they need to be grouted. No mention of that except in the cardboard wrapping. Overall, I would not recommend using this product. I don't know who wrote great reviews but we were frustrated . It was extremely challenging.

Looks great

If you aren’t sure if this is the way to go let me tell you how pleased I am with this product. I wanted to update my kitchen and had been thinking about adding a backsplash. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and the house my son bought had a peel and stick backsplash which I didn’t realize until he pointed it out. So I looked into smart tiles for my kitchen. I was impressed with all the options available and the cost. I don’t have a big kitchen so it cost me about $150. I am also glad to say how easy it was to install! I was a little apprehensive but it couldn’t have gone better. Bottom line “I love it”

Fresh new look to apartment kitchen rental.

I rent an apartment and purchased these tiles to update my kitchen in the easiest and most economical way. My handyman did the installation. He did a good job as he is a perfectionist. This being said I find that this project was pretty pricey for the end result. I took advantage of the free on line decorator service. I sent a photo of my kitchen to The Smart Tiles decorator and received 3 suggestions. All white, all black or this model, which you can see in the photo attached to my review. The Smart Tiles recommend that you install the tiles on a flat surface and consider existing grout lines. After purchasing a sample I was pleasantly surprised that the tiles fit nicely over my slightly embossed tiles. Neither the grout lines nor the embossed flowers show through. Would definitely recommend purchasing a couple of tiles to see how they fit on the surface you want to cover.

Worth the buy

The Smart tiles look better than I could have thought. They were fairly easy to put up but I suggest buying a few extra in case you cut something incorrectly. I had to reorder a few more because I didn’t measure exactly. But they look great and I’m very happy I used this product. It saved me money and time installing them myself. Very pleased.

Beautiful color!

I purchased this design to update my laundry room. I purchased a new washer and dryer in rose gold and I thought this color would compliment it perfectly. Boy was I right!! These tiles added the right amount of color and glam to my new laundry room. They were super easy to install as well. I’m a very happy customer!

Great product, a little tricky

The tiles themselves are lovely. Unlike other reviewers, this was an all-day job for me, not just a few hours. I applied the tiles to the two long walls in a galley style kitchen--under cabinets and above the sink and under cabinets above the range. The tiles come in at least 8 patterns labeled A -- H so I figured I would apply them in order: A, B, C etc. That didn't work though because there were multiples of some letters and only a few of other letters, which was unfortunate because the colors randomized really well in the sequence and you had to work at not getting too much white or darker color in one spot in the non-sequenced pattern. I ordered a few extra tiles and was glad as I used every single tile. I only wasted one that tore when I couldn't get it laid in just right under a cabinet. You definitely need to start on the left, regardless of your wall configuration, which can make it challenging to keep the seams aligned when the wall area expands above a sink or range. Because I wanted the tiles centered above the sink and range, measuring correctly was important. But because the tiles have irregular edges (the top of one tile is not the same width as the bottom of another tile, it added a lot of time to this application. If it had been just a rectangular block, it would have been quick and easy.

Loft Maronne: smart and sexy tiles!!!

We purchased the Loft Maronne tiles, and transformed our kitchen backsplash in an afternoon! They are easy to work with and the glossy finish makes them look so real! I will admit I was overwhelmed at first but the edges are easy to line up and you can fix a mistake in seconds. Very inexpensive improvement. The colors are rich and classy so I basically set up the kitchen for success. Really proud to go from a plain white painted wall to a backsplash with texture and depth. The color, even though it's not a light color, brightens up the room and elongates the wall.

Kitchen upgrade

We bought these a few months back and finally had the time and motivation to install. We wanted an easy way to upgrade our kitchen that wasn't as permanent as actual tile. 5-10 years down the road we'd like to completely overhaul our builder grade early 2000s cabinets and countertops. My second project was as good as my first 5 years ago!

I was looking for an alternative to wallpaper which had yellowed in my bathroom and just three years. I had a used Smart Tiles five years ago as a backsplash in my kitchen and they have done amazingly well. They look just as good as the day I put them up. With that said, I decided to go back to The Smart Tiles website to pick a matching tile for the white Wainscot that I had on the bottom half of my bathroom walls. Since the bathroom was small, I chose the Capri Pera since it was the most neutral and thus not too busy. I took my time and installed it over two days. The installation was amazingly easy as I had remembered when doing my backsplash in the kitchen. I have gotten many many compliments on how beautiful it looks. It has truly transformed my small bathroom. I was however concerned about the condensation from hot showers. As has been up for almost a month now, I can confidently say that the condensation from the hot showers has not affected the adhesive whatsoever. I love this product so much that I am looking for other places in my home where I can install it. It has the look of real Glass tile without the cost of installation and the messiness of using grout.

Great product!

This is my second project involving Smart Tiles and I am absolutely hooked on these! Easy to cut, easy to peel and stick, and, very important, easy to peel off and re-position if needed. I applied the Maronne Smart Tiles on top of the old ceramic tiles in the powder room and so far, so good. Just make sure the ceramic tiles are squeaky clean before applying the Smart Tiles. (t.s.p. works like a charm) I highly recommend Smart Tiles for quick, no-mess, no-stress updates to your powder room or kitchen.

Kitchen Backsplash

I bought the Loft Grigio smart tiles about a month ago and when I received them, I actually thought the color was going to be to dark. Since they were on sale I was not able to return them, so I decided to use them since the smart tiles are not permanent and are removable. It took me about 6 hours to complete my backsplash and can I say how much I love the look of my new kitchen!!! Everyone says how beautiful it looks and how they want to do this to their kitchen. I would highly recommend this product.

Very beautiful and easy to install

I am very pleased with these tiles. They are very easy to install. At first I made a mistake and so I had to remove them and install them again. No issue there. The only issue I had was the imperfect walls. That was a headache in my case. To make story short I recommend them. They have a glossy look and they are very versatile in terms of installation. On the other side I am a renter and i want my place to look cool with a minimum budget. It has been quite a while since I was searching for a beautiful yet inexpensive solution. Thanks to this company my dream came true. Hopefully the tiles will stick to my walls for a few years. And when the time comes to purchase a home I would buy tiles from this company. Many many thanks and many many years in business!

Looks beautiful despite kitchen "issue"

I LOVE the product, LOVE the look. And fortunately, the material is very forgiving. My issue was that the sides of my range hood (and cupboards on either side) are 1/16th of an inch off. I didn't realize it when I started so I needed to do a lot of cutting and "pasting." STILL, I love the result. I may call it a "hack job" because of what I had to do but it was unrelated to the product. If the tiles were not so easy to work with I never would have been able to finish the job. And so far, it is adhering extremely well, despite placing and re-placing strips. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase

It is so hard to do this justice in photos- but we LOVE our new backsplash. We shopped and priced out ceramic and self stick tiles for months and the costs were astronomical! We ordered this and thought “at this price we have nothing to lose if we don’t end up using it”

Beautiful tiles

We were a little sceptical about how these tiles would look. After getting several quotes for glass backsplash, we decided it was much too expensive and would give smart tiles a try! We were amazed at how beautiful the tiles look! It took a short time to get the hang of the application, we couldn’t be more pleased with the results! Even the professionals who installed our granite complimented our installation has to touch it to know it wasn’t glass tile! We can’t wait to start our next project using Smart Tiles!
