Perfect for my skylight

Big Lots is my go-to store for home essentials. I needed tension rods to cover my skylight now that the sun is so hot and heats up my kitchen. I found just the size I was looking for and it works perfectly.

Smaller Diameter in an Easy Tension Rod

I was in the middle of a project, and needed this size for a curtain solution. ACE actually had this particular diameter in stock, in the color I was looking for. AND, the price was right. One-inch diameter is definitely stronger for a longer tension rod, but I needed smaller, and this worked perfectly. NICE color, too. Easy to use, no loss of tension or separation; well, not that I tried to go beyond the measurement limitations. Highly recommend.

difficulty maintaining tension pressure

Correct size and color. bought 2 rods, 1 had no problem retaining its tension pressure, the other one was completely different story. kept falling down.

Narrow Curtain Rod not very effective

The good thing about the curtain rod is that it is narrow enough to fit through the hem in the curtains, #sweepstakes, the bad things are it's not very sturdy nor is it easy to adjust! Would not recommend.

Good, sturdy curtain rods

The pressure style curtain rods are sturdy and worked perfectly for the windows I used them in. I can pull the curtains open and close without the rod falling down. Would definitely recommend them.

Ok for very light curtains

This product was poorly manufactured, there is a seem that was split making it difficult to get the end cap on properly and the strength was minimal.

Great item, just not intended for 4 panel curtain weight.

I got this to put in an old RV because original blinds were a fix for later down the road. So I hung up some Big Lots 4 panel pack curtains instead on this brown rod. My fault, curtains too heavy so I used the rod elsewhere in rv and ordered a thicker spring tension shower rod for the curtains instead.

Sturdy curtain rod

This was a replacement rod for my bathroom curtains. My original one got damaged during some construction. I think I like this rod better than my original one. More sturdy and stylish. Yes I would recommend.

Tense about wall holes? Use adjustable tension rods.

I loved this product as it fits my window perfectly. Just turn towards you to extend and turn away from you to shorten.

Excellent quality. A few twists to get to the desired length a push on the wall side to activate the spring and it fit like a glove!!!

Worked as expected

I saw a post online to utilize a tension rod to assist with hanging garland over your front door or fireplace at Christmas time. The trick worked great!

Love this product. Easy to assemble

It's the perfect size for my bathroom to hang a clear shower curtain. I always had to mount the clear curtain and a cloth one together. This way I can slide the design one without getting it wet. Very sturdy and affordable price too.

Great tension rod at a great price!

Whats to say? A tension curtain rod does its job well. The big thing is that the same rod would cost a whole lot more elsewhere!!!!

The extension curtain rod was the right size, easily adjust

The extension curtain rod was the right size, durable, color smart, economical and safe. The directions to extend and place the rod is easy to follow. A winner all the way!

Good color for our woodwork.

I'm so glad I didn't have to settle for a white color. The dark brown is great with the dark oak frame of our windows, and the rod is easy to work. I had to exchange one that had a crimp in the metal and so wouldn't expand enough. So that's a reminder not to fling these around carelessly. It fits snugly so that I can pull the (admittedly lightweight) grommet curtains open or shut.

Great Innter-Spring Tension Rod

Great old-school tension rod. This has an inner spring and you can adjust it easily to fit the width of your window. I like this so much better than the newer twist-and-lock styles. #sweepstakes

The product was a hard to find item every else.

I love shopping at Big Lots. It has everything I need and use. Saves me from going to the malls and Walmart. Living in a rural area, being able to be at Big Lots is convenient AND a gas saver. The curtain rod was a great find. Couldn't find what I needed anywhere. Big Lots had it.

Great purchase!

Bought two of these chocolate brown tension bars to use at the longest length. So far, working out great! The color blends in well with the bronze hardware on my other window. Excellent prices always at Big Lots!

Nice Color. Flimsy when extended.

I liked the color and lengths this could adjust to. It is not very sturdy however. At 62" with a lightweight shower curtain (being used to close off a small laundry area) it is shakey so a thicker one might have been better.
