Nice bench seems sturdy. Holes did not align but my son was able to adjust so it could be put together.

I wanted to love this bench, but...

the bench required assembly. I've put furniture together before, and I'm very capable. I read and follow directions, but I'm increasingly finding that pieces that require assembly often have holes that don't line up. That was the case with this piece. I did eventually get it put together, but even after all the screws were tightened (after completion, as instructed), the bench wobbles from side to side. I'm leery of using it as a seat, as it feels unsafe. I'll use it solely for decoration, and after this, will no longer purchase furniture on line. I've too often been disappointed.

Exactly What I Wanted

I was looking for a small, high back bench for my entryway and this is perfect! I looked at many, MANY benches online but was put off by: #1 bad reviews ( poor quality) #2 price and #3 difficult to assemble. After weeks of looking I decided on this bench, but kept the box and packing intact, “just in case”. I love it! It’s very sturdy, looks great in my space and was easy to assemble. Let me be honest here: I’m 5’2”, 110# and retired so…if I can do this by myself? My suggestions: mark off the space it’s going into and live with that for a day or two and, save the packaging until you’re finished assembly.

This is a beautiful well- built bench. It added a country touch to our den as well as made a place to sit and out shoes on at the door. It is also a nice place for visitors to put their coats.

I am very happy with my bench. It arrived without a problem. It took minimal effort to assemble. It has a beautiful finish. I was afraid to order on line, but I should not have worried. Beautiful

Nice wood bench . . . .

Good looking bench when it is put together. Very functional, nice color wood finishing. For the most part, the assembly instructions were good, but still lacked a little. The company could improve on their assembly info.

Love It!

Was exactly as expected! Love it. My husband put it together, so I cannot comment on ease. However, I heard not one word of profanity...so that MEANS a LOT! ;) If you are thinking about it... I say go for it, so glad I did! (Also, the pics really dont do it justice, but thought they might help someone)

This is really a nice piece for my living room. It was beautiful in black the first year, but then I used chalk paint on some distressing on it and now it's a gorgeous shade of grey I ah blue. Love!

I was told it came assembled..hahaha

Well, I wanted it anyway..the price and free shipping were unbeatable. It took about 5 hours to assemble as holes for barrel nuts were not aligned. I knew it would be a headache when some washers were the wrong size. I hung in there and got it built. It's just what I wanted and now I can say it was hand made!!

Not particularly sturdy

The bench looks great, but is composed of cheap materials. Assembly is irritating as the sequence listed in the instructions is inaccurate. For the money we paid, we should have gotten something much sturdier. If the price were $50, the bench would be worth it.

Pass on this

I was very disappointed on this product. Once assembled it was very cheap. The seat is solid but everything else was very weak. I sat on the bench and it sways side to side with minimal movement. The arms bend inward and out so they are not stable enough to assist when getting up from the seat. When I went to move it the arm broke when I lifted the seat up. Overstock was amazing though and I was able to return without difficulty.
