I love this rug, it is gorgeous, but the smell, OMG. I waited to write this review because I thought it would go away, but no amount of baking soda and vinegar, Arm & Hammer carpet cleaner, professional odor removals we use we can't get the smell of sheep that haven't been cleaned. I understand that with wool rugs, some smell can be expected, but this is just awful. We thought we were finally able to remove the smell, but when it gets humid, we smell it again. If it wasn't for this we would give 5 stars because the rug is absolutely beautiful. I would return it but by the time we unpacked it (as we were doing renovations) and used it, it was past the return window

This is such a beautiful rug and the colors are soft and inviting. The shag bordering each shape gives the rug a boho chic look. Easy to manage and dabbing a wet cloth easily cleans spots. It has a high pile so be careful if the rug will be near doors. All my friends who visit love this rug and a few have made the same purchase. Safavieh never disappoint with their rugs. I have several similar tones bought on Overstock and all of them are just gorgeous.

Smaller than advertised.

This rug is not the size advertised. It was 6 inches narrow. I didn’t bother to unroll it to confirm length, since I needed the width for it to work in my room. I really liked the design and colors, but a huge disappointment and not at all easy to repackage and return a rug of this size.

Looks nice. I like that it's wool. VERY thin - not sure why they claim 1" pile.

Great quality for the price!

I love this rug - such a great value. I've spent a ton more on rugs and this one hands down is my favorite. It looks just beautiful in the room.

Very nice looking rug. True to color and soft. Reason for 4 stars is because of how much it does shed. Lays flat right away! Made very well. Hoping some of the shedding will be gone by the time my baby arrives in a few months!

Cheaply made, I regret purchasing

This rug is much lower quality than I expected from Safavieh. It's very thin (I don't understand the point of making a thin shag rug!), doesn't feel nice under bare feet, and the long edge is not cut straight, so you can never have it line up perfect parallel to the floor boards. I was very close to returning it but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. It looks ok and the thick braids against the modern stripes give it visual interest, but it's cheap, cheap, cheap.

Such a great purchase!

I was hesitant to make such a huge purchase on this rug, but I’m so glad I did. It looks even better in person. Thankfully I haven’t noticed any shedding (since it’s wool). I am in the process of turning my once infants nursery into a big boy room and this rug couldn’t be more perfect. This is now my second rug from Safavieh and they never disappoint! This is also my first purchase from Overstock and couldn’t be happier with how fast I received it.

Not a huge fan of this rug. It looks good online, but in person I was not impressed. My dog also wanted to chew on the ends of the rug as they look more like a decor then decor.
