Color not Gold enough

I returned because The champagne bronze finish was not gold/brassy enough for my kitchen remodel. It looked almost satin nickel. I had seen it in store and the color was more golden. I ordered the Brizo in Lux Gold. Looked nice but wrong color.

Everything and more!

This fixture is the perfect style for our kitchen. Our home is a historic Victorian home, and it has been fully remodeled. The style of this fixture is modern with a hint of old classic. I can’t rave enough about the finish!!!! A simple wipe with a dish cloth or paper towel keeps it so clean, and there are no water stains, even after over a month of use. We love this sink fixture, and all that it has to offer!

Solenoid fails every 2 years.

Purchased the Delta 9197T-DST in 2018 and the solenoid first failed within a year of installation. Delta talked me through the steps to test and prove the solenoid was bad, then sent a replacement. The replacement began to fail two years later. Repeated the process and received another replacement. The replacement just began to fail and Delta has pointed out that the lifetime warranty doesn't extend to electronic parts. I can purchase a replacement solenoid for $172.40 from their store.

The single touch faucet is well-made, solid and works great. It is beautiful. Starting and stopping the water flow with just a touch is very convenient. It replaced my older model of the same faucet. The only difference I can see is that the holes for the spray option are now gathered on either side of the circle instead of being evenly spaced over that surface.

Set and Forget

This kitchen faucet is the "touch" type. My husband insisted on being technologically forward, so I went ahead and purchased this. It has taken a little bit of getting used to, but, all in all, it is an adequate faucet for my daily needs. The water stream seems to come from different places on the faucet head depending on when I use it. It's not a bothersome feature, just one that leads me to ask the question, "Why?" It does work as advertised. Touching the faucet with the back of my hand or grabbing the handle turns the faucet on and off. Grabbing the faucet will not. This is pretty sophisticated engineering from my perspective, and I am very satisfied with it. The only reason that I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 is the fact that one must "set" the faucet handle in order to use the touch feature. I don't know how this can be engineered differently, and I think I would have been just as happy with this faucet if it were operated only by the handle.

Touch Operation Doesn't Last

I bought this product specifically for the touch capability which worked as expected for 5 years. Myself and my plumber tried multiple ways to fix it and he determined it was the solenoid. I called Delta for the part and was told my product was out of warranty and I could order the solenoid from them - all of it would cost me $200+ because I would have to get the plumber back to my house. The faucet still works manually, but I'm frustrated that I spent that amount of money for the touch capability and Delta was NOT helpful at all when I called!!! Go with MOEN or another touch product.

Low Water flow

I love my Delta Venetian bronze faucet, model 9197-RB-DST paired with a new bronze farmhouse apron sink. However.. after five months of use in a two person household, the water flow takes forever to fill anything. It seems to be getting worse. I’ve taken off the water head and rinsed it for and debris. I do have a water softener so mineralization is a a minimum. This worked for less than one day and now we’re back to a very low water flow on all three spray levels. We’re not plumbers or handy with fixing this sort of problem. Suggestions? Thank you.

Looks great, touch is convenient

Delta's Cassidy Faucet is a great upgrade to your kitchen. I've also used the Cassidy line of faucets for my sink and roman tub faucet as well as I really like the way the Cassidy line looks. so wanted my kitchen faucet to match. The faucet is relatively easy to install, the hardest part was attaching it to my sink, due to the tight access under my sink. The touch feature needs a battery pack to operate, however the downside is the faucet will stop working once the batteries are flat. For some reason the batteries that came with the faucet only lasted two days. The faucet is also compatible with Delta's voice module which you can purchase separate.

Simply doesn't work

We really want to like this product but it simply doesn't work. We installed this about 15 months ago with our kitchen renovation. From day one it was slightly quirky. The faucent would not recognize the 'touch' to turn it on/off. And when that function is not working, you cannot get water at all. Initially it happened once every week or so. Then it became more and more common. Now it's a daily thing. We initially attributed it to weak batteries. So we were replacing them every 3 or 4 weeks (6 AA batteries). Now we're replacing them every week or two and it no longer seems to solve the lack of recognition of the touch. So long story short, this faucet simply doesn't work. I can't recommend this.

The product arrived without some parts and stripped connection, however, our technician was amazing and figured out how to manage and complete the installation. Regarding the faucet, I really like it. There is great water pressure, looks awesome, love the finish, works great! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because: 1) arrived without all the parts and tech said it had been opened and possibly used, stripping a connection, 2) I would prefer just the regular water mode and a more full spray rather than the 3 modes that includes a newer plate spray mode. Because of the plate spray mode, the regular spray is not as full. I'd much rather have a fuller spray for efficiently cleaning veggies/fruit, etc. That would be my only complaint about the faucet itself. Otherwise, we love it.

I chose this faucet to be installed in my new home 5 1/2 years ago. I like the style, and enjoyed using it until a month ago when it developed a leak and insidiously soaked the cabinet underneath my sink. I called Delta because I knew it had a lifetime warranty. The customer service reps that answered my calls each time were friendly and bent over backward to help me out. Unfortunately they have sent me the incorrect valve twice with parts (set screws) that don't even go with the faucet. I've been five weeks attempting the repair, and I'm still without a kitchen faucet. I've come to the conclusion that either Delta's customer service staff is friendly but incompetent, or Delta has changed the internal design of the faucet, rendering it obsolete...so much for guaranteed for life. As a last ditch effort I will go to a local plumbing store and see if they can get the correct valve. If they can't I will have to replace a nearly $400 faucet that lasted less than 6 years, and you can bet I won't replace it or any other plumbing fixture with a Delta.

We have always purchased Grohe faucets but decided to give the Delta chrome Cassidy a shot because it was a nice design and a good price. We've had it installed for a month now and love it. Based on customer complaints about the touch on/off feature, we bought the regular model instead and are very pleased. My husband installed it himself with little issue. The magnetic head holds the sprayer in nicely. The water pressure is good. I was curious how the "Spray Shield" feature would perform. At first it splashed water all over the place and I thought it might be a bad design. But then I realized you have to remove the spray head and pull it down to the bottom of the sink to clean the dish. Then it worked well with no overspray. So that's the trick people, pull the head down to use it. Not absolutely mouth-dropping amazing but with hot water, I'd give the new Spray Shield a solid 7 out of 10. I would rather have the feature than not.

I purchased this faucet to match my champagne bronze pot filler, model 1177LF-CZ if anyone is interested. Anyway, this product should not have come to market without thorough evaluation of the touch2o feature. It works sporadically, intermittently, variably, and unreliably. It often activates when you don't touch it, it often doesn't when you do.

This faucet worked well for about a week. After that, it was slow torture until it finally died. It started with the touch feature functioning about half the time, and only if it was touched in one specific location on the side and (if you were feeling lucky) occasionally on the handle. I kept replacing batteries thinking that would solve the problem, but it never helped. Some days it would go hours before it decided to cooperate. Sometimes you'd be sitting in the livingroom reading a book and it would just to turn itself on out of the blue, giving you a split second panic attack about the stranger in your kitchen, until you realized it was just the devil faucet toying with you. Sometimes it refused to turn off and would run until the auto off feature engaged. It's been just under 2 years since this faucet has been installed and it no longer functions at all. Not even manually. After 2 days of wondering if the demon who possess it will come back to life, I think the nightmare is finally over. However, now I have a sink full of dirty dishes I can't clean until I purchase and install a new faucet. Worst purchase ever.

The greatest thing ever!

We have owned two different Delta touch faucets in two different homes for a total of 6 years. They work incredibly well. The only time people have complained about then is when they don’t know how to operate them. There are a few “tricks”. First, make sure the battery pack underneath the sink is not touching ANYTHING. If it is, it will turn off all the time and will hesitate to turn on. Second, make sure the faucet handle is always in the “on” position. Otherwise, it won’t turn on. It does have an auto off feature that turns it off after about 5 minutes of running. Just touch it and it turns back on. I love ours. In fact, we are about to close on a third home and I will rip out it’s perfectly good kitchen faucet and spend $500 on one of these. Just read the directions and google any issues. These faucets are incredibly convenient and work really well when set up correctly.

I have owned this faucet since 2015 and am writing this review based on my experiences over the last several years. The faucet itself is wonderful, the finish, the installation, the touch-to-on capability, all of it. We're a busy household with 5 kids, middle school aged and younger, and it's never let us down. Seriously, top notch and a great example of you get what you pay for.

Poor design

I had this faucet installed approximately two years ago when my kitchen was completely redone. This week I noticed a bad smell coming from under neath the sink. Upon further inspection I noticed that the faucet is slowly leaking but trying to determine where is not easy. It appears the fittings connecting the hosing in various points have developed a leak. I checked th manual and the hosing looks to be installed correctly. In addition the slow water leak is running down the hoses into the electronic box that controls the attached on/ off solenoid valve which controls the water flow. It looks like water has entered the electronic box. The electronics should be separated from the solenoid valves to keep them away from any potential water exposure due to leaks. In addition the on/off handle is leaking and needs a seal replacement. At first we loved the faucet now it has become a nightmare. Drying out the area under the sink to get rid of the smell will take time. Also I will probably just replace the faucet with a more dependable brand. The Delta engineers need to do a better job and think about all the failure modes when making future designs.

Nice looking faucet but the touch technology still has work to do

I have the Cassidy Single handle touch kitchen faucet for about a year now. We are on our third repair for the touch mechanism under the sink. We have had to have Delta send the same part three times due to failure. We love the touch faucet, but it comes with some headaches. First you have to make sure none of the wires that go to the touch mechanism touch anything under your sink. This includes each other. So, you would think that Delta would make it so they were not side by side, but they are. Second, they can not touch any metal under the sink. They can not come in contact with any of your plumbing. This is a problem if you have ever seen the average size of the cabinet under ones sink. If any of these wires touch each other or metal it will stop the faucet from flowing after four minutes. What happens then is that the sink will not turn on at all no matter what you do. It completely knocks out the faucets ability to flow. In order to get around this you have to disconnect the unit and bypass the touch mechanism. This involves getting under the sink and pulling out the touch line and making it direct so the faucet then operates like a normal manual faucet. In addition, our touch faucet is right next to our dishwasher. When our dishwasher runs it triggers the faucet to come on randomly. The faucet will turn off after 4 minutes, but we have been in bed when we hear it running. So, I recommend making sure the faucet is in the off position if you are going to run your dishwasher. Every time ours does this the touch mechanism shuts down all together. The pro's are I love the design and the way it works, when it works. The Con's are that it is very sensitive and they haven't really worked out the problems. In hind site I don't think I would order this faucet again.
