I Wouldn't Buy This

Bought this item. I guess the packer at the factory thought it would be fun to short me a large wood screw. That meant a trip to HD. Got the item assembled and then check the drawers. Two drawers damaged. I'm not going to waste my time and effort with SG's Return Policy. I've been an SG Frequent Buyer since 2001. We're done now.

Piece of Garbage

Ordered this item, as I've ordered Castle Creek before and received good quality. Where do I start with this. Somebody at the factory decided to short me a large wood screw, and replace it with an extra washer. That's a trip to HD, to find a match. Then, after everything is assembled, I opened the drawers. The pics say it all. I'll spend more of my time and money fixing this, then I would sending this back! SG just lost a two-decade customer,

Looks great, but STINKS!!

Too bad it STINKS!! I really wanted to like this cabinet, but even after airing it out for over a week, it still reeks of some strong chemical odor and I cannot bring it into the house! Sadly, it will not be used here. Maybe for a garage or something, but the stink is awful. Otherwise, looks to be well made and is nice looking for the price.

The base of the pilar of your classy maintenance game!

This is part of a 3-[iece set and is absolutely gorgeous. Handsome enough you can keep your tools in the living room without hearing complaints from family or housemates. Simply stunning classic vintage style to be proud of. Now... it is intended, I presume from description, for working with collectibles and firearms so it may not hold up to the battering of a toolbox full of pneumatic tools. But if you want to elevate your maintenance game then this is for you. I held off for a long while getting them and once I finally did I wish I hadn't waited. My only complaint is that I didn't notice and messaging that two of the three pieces were on backorder and it took me a month to get them all. Still... worth the wait. Maybe just an improvement on communication. That aside... trust me... you want them!

Great chest for storing and displaying your fine collectibles

This rolling chest is well made. The materials are wood and particle-board drawer bottoms. Nice clear finish and brass hardware. I owned the multi-drawer chest and bought the bottom cabinet to complete the set. Drawers and doors open/close easily and the locks work without problem. The price is much less for the same cabinet offered by other on-line retailers. The best price I can find, anywhere!

Easy to assemble

Cabinet exterior looks like real oak wood. Remainder is pressed board. If kept in a dry environment it will probably last a long time. For the money it is an OK value.

Works for me

Purchased to store hobby materials (fly tying, and lure making). Plenty of room for tools and materials. I purchased roller cabinet and tool boxes (3 piece set).

Nice tool kit.

I ordered this bottom tool cart and the middle one that sits on top of it for my wife. She uses it now to keep all of her tools for repairing old sewing machines organized and she loves them. She's happy that instead of having several tool boxes to move around and dig thru, she can just roll both units right next to her work station and open a drawer to get the tool she needs.

Nice, but much smaller than expected

The rolling cabinet came packed well with clear assembly instructions, not that there was much assembly required other and attaching the wheels and side handle. I should have read the dimensions more carefully, and noticed the size relative to the single action pistol on top. This is a small cabinet, but seems well made. My main gripe with it is that there are no drawer stops, making it very easy to pull the drawers all the way out of the cabinet. Overall, it's smaller than what I needed but will work well for people who don't require much storage space.

poor construction

no stops on the drawers, started to attache the included wheels, attachment pads fell off. staples used to attach the pads to the bottom of the chest were stapled on and the staples penetrated the bottom of the chest .......oh, about a 1/16th of a inch.

Looked great, great packaging, poor workmanship.

I returned the cabinet shortly after opening its package. The robust castors had large screws to hold castors to 3/4" wood block. So far, so good. However, the wood blocks were attached to cabinet with glue that did not adhere to cabinet base. This left only 5 small steel pins (think staple leg) holding the block, maybe penetrating base by 1/8 inch. The four wood screws (probably #12) were longer than thickness of 3/4" block. The screws hold the castors to the wooden block. Needless the say, the block fell off when the screw could not penetrate the base before splitting the block.

Great price and excellent product

The chest arrived on time in excellent condition and fits my needs perfectly. I purchased it as a gift for my grandson and he loves it. We had previously purchased the the top chests and now have the complete set.

Tool chest

Bought the middle and bottom tool chest wood is particle board and colors are way off even tho I order it together. I am using it for sewing so I still can use it but wouldn't put anything with any kind of weight in won't hold it.
