mildew

The item was made in Thailand. It was boxed in humid conditions and when it arived the base was covered in mold mildew. A week later im still trying to get the smell out with a misting if bleach water. Once that is done i might have to paint it. Otherwise it is what i wanted.

Meh, looks nice but door not structurally soli

It looks really nice. It was very easy to put together but it doesn’t keep my dog in well. The lock just stays in place by gravity. If my dog scratches the door enough the lock just pops open. Also the “hinges” are not strong at all. My dog broke them off after a month of having this crate. So, now it’s useless without a door.

Really large crate, almost too large

Alot larger than what I had expected. Nice dog crate, however, it overwhelmed the room it was supposed to go in and we had to move it. Now, it overwhelms the space in a spare bedroom. The latches are not the best, we ended up replacing them, especially for the size of the dog going in the crate. The latches were really lacking in keeping the gate door closed. Would have been OK for a small dog, but not a large breed.

A little too large for end table

This is a great piece and a very elegant dog crate but nowhere near to being any kind of end table - it's almost like a mini dining table. If I hadnt assembled it ; I would have returned it and kept the 2 smaller ones but I endd returning the smaller ones and keeping the big one but it is a LARGE dog crate that serves no function other than that - or maybe to pile junk on top Update- closed my dog in here and went out one day - he had literally snapped the slats and broken out . One of my least favorite buys here.

not good for active dogs or dogs that chew

I was really excited to get this, it is very pretty, but we have a St. Bernard and it most definitely did not hold up. It is all wood, no reinforcements of any kind. She chewed the wood, was able to chew one of the rungs completely off and the doors do not hold up to an extra large dog. We only used it about a couple of months and had to throw it away. If you have an extra large dog that does not chewing it would be fine. Definitely do not recommend for a puppy or a chewer. If it had reinforcements on the inside, it would have been great

Bought 2 for my dogs, the directions were somewhat easy to follow but the hardware was not in the correct places. I had to take the latch off and connect it to where it should be just so I could shut the door on both crates. It says it's made of solid wood, I guess it is wood but it's definitely not the most solid. One of my dogs ruined her crate the first time she was in it, needless to say one went to the trash and the other is in okay condition. And we have only had them since end of august 2020

Needs extra work...

Taller that I thought (My fault for it measuring). The predrilled holes weren’t wide enough and the boards split when I used a screwdriver to affix the L brackets. Not bad enough to return (my husband would say different if he knew about it). One of bottom floor bumper wood pieces fell off and had to be reattached with a longer screw of my own. The door hardware scratches the wood when used and I assume it will begin to show wear and tear in no time. If I wasn’t handy and able to fix/deal with these things on my own, this would have been returned immediately. But I hate the hassle of returning things.

HUGE and beautiful dog crate!

Fantastic well-made dog crate. We needed a larger side table next to our king sized bed and we could not be more pleased. Easy to assemble and very beautiful. Certainly does not look like a dog crate! Instructions were well written and it is HUGE when assembled! Our little schnauzer lives like a king! The only change I would suggest is a sturdier door lock for it. If our schnauzer were persisten he could push through this one

Overpriced JUNK!

As soon as I put the first provided screw into the pre drilled hole with a standard screwdriver it split and cracked down one of the bars. For *** that’s absolutely unacceptable for it to be of such poor quality. It’s also way smaller than depicted. I have a puppy who will be about 75lbs when grown. I purchased the “giant” sized cage rated for dogs twice that size and I think she’ll outgrow it in just a few months. Never buying from overstock again

Comforting to the Pet

Nice looking and spacious. Our dog treats it as a special hide-a-way. But,construction is only mediocre, and it was difficult to assemble, as some of the parts failed to line up. I had to hire a handyman to measure out some special drill holes and replace a few of the enclosed pieces of hardware. But, now that the problems are solved, it serves its purpose well. Remember, this is NOT Ethan Allen. This piece will take its place in your living room or den, next to your best furniture. But it is good for pet well-being.

For the money, I'm pretty disappointed in the quality. While assembling it one of the rails split, the doors are flimsy, and it scratches if you sneeze in its general vicinity. It looks great, but for the money I should have just kept the ugly metal kennel I had previously.

These crates are beautiful. I ordered 2 and one of them was damaged in shipping. I called Overstock and they were so helpful. They sent a replacement and arranged for the carrier to pick up the damaged one at my house so I didn't have to take it someplace. It is a heavy box. If your dog is a big chewer, this crate is not going to hold him for long, however, my metal dog crate slides inside this one nicely so my "termite" can't chew the wood. It looks very nice in my living room (much more attractive than the dog crate I had there.
