Functions great, not racoon proof

This is actually a great feeder and functions better than similar ones. Unfortunately, we were gone for a few weeks and have critters about. Something (racoon?) managed to break in after a lot of scratching (neighbor stepped in and cats were fine)

Not even remotely tamper proof

The feeding mechanism does not lock to the base unit. Its possible for a paw to get underneath, manually rewind the feeding nozzle until there is a clear path from the food hopper to the bowl so food falls freely.

Reviews were mixed, but I am pleased to have ordered this feeder. No need for bells and whistles; dependability was the major concern, that the cat would be fed over several days if I become incapacitated. I read the instructions carefully, assembled the feeder step by step from building the no-tip base to filling the hopper. No hitches. Yes, the mechanism makes some noise, but that is a good thing because the cat comes running. My cat eats a 12-mm sized, disc-shaped kibble, too big for many feeders but easily dispensed by this one. My cat is not the feisty type, does not challenge the feeder, but waits respectfully for the food to drop. If some kibble sits high in the bowl, she paws it down, away from the spout.

Works well

The reviews that I read stated that is was difficult or impossible to program. I had to read the instructions more that once while setting it but was able to do it without struggling. I had to readjust the feeding portions but was able to correct that easily. It is definitely making my life easier.

For indoor use, yes I’d recommend this product. I have raccoons who live close and get the food instead of the cats

Really easy to install and whilst my fat cat tried to bust his way into it, he failed . Its not for him, its to feed hedgehogs so knowing a cat cant get in makes me happy!

Programming Issues

We have not been successful in programming more than one feeding a day. The programming of this machine is very difficult.

Auto feeder for outdoor cat

Reliable and convenient. This model is more secure and accurate than an older one we had.

Convenient

A little difficulty setting timer but is nice for my 2 sibling cats. If we’re not up at 6a on the wkends, they both hurl their bodies against our bedroom door to wake us up! Feeding timer is set for 6a, problem solved!

Great idea, if it worked as advertised

Would like to return it, it does not seem to work as advertised. Will only feed 3 times a day, but said on ad it would feed 10 times a day. Cannot get it to do this and have read directions several times. Poorly designed feeding dispenser, cats head cannot access all kibble due to tube being in way. Makes cat discouraged.

Great for our cats!

We just recently had to re-purchase this dry food feeder because we’ve had it for over 5 years and the motor finally quit on us but I love this feeder. It’s not high-tech and doesn’t rely on WiFi or being plugged in to work and that’s ideal for our household. The internal clock on it does speed up so I do have to reset the time on it once’s every year or so but otherwise it’s amazing! The units thing is a little tricky to figure out so I just kept doing extra feeds until I got to the amount that I wanted to feed my cats each day. They get 3/4 cup (which is about 11 units) a day so I just spread it out over the 3 feeding times. Very user friendly and easy to take apart/put back together.

Twice daily feeding -- works great!

Love this if weren't not home in time for feeding dry crunchies.

Auto feeder

I like it and it works fine I just had a hard time setting the feeding times. I still don't have it where I want

Purchased September of 2021, still works great

I’m so glad I found a good auto-feeder the first time around. It doesn’t use much battery power, as it’s now June 2024 and it still has the same batteries as I put in when I first got it. Just learned today there’s a low battery indicator, but somehow that indicator still isn’t on!

Good feeder at affordable price

I needed to purchase an automatic dry cat food feeder that could dispense smaller portions than most brands on the market. Other reviews said this one was difficult to assemble and program, but I found a helpful video online. After reviewing the video and reading the instructions, it was pretty easy to set up. It's working great so far.
