Great coffee carafes! Keeps coffee hot.
Exactly what we needed. For parties, we like to have regular and decaf coffee available. These carafes make it clear which is which, plus they keep the coffee nice and hot for hours. Great product!
Heat retension suprising
I purchested this item 12/16 and conducted an experiment to see how this carafe retained heat.As per instructions, I filled it with boiling water to preheat the carafe. After waiting 8 minutes I poured out the Catalina carafe and poured in a full pot of brewed beverage from the coffee pot.The tempature of the carafe at that point was 180 degrees.After two hours the temp of the crafe was 167 degrees.After 5 additional hours,the temperature of the carafe was 128 degrees.It lost about 7 degrees an hour. This Catalina carafe exceeded my expetations in heat retention.
