Nice looking cabinet

Husband got it put together in less than 90 minutes. Looks good, room for adjustments so it lined up well. Pull door opens smoothly %26 swinging doors open nicely. Color is very nice, has a nice finish look to it with knots to give it an original look. Thinking about getting a few more pieces.

Bought this in chalked chestnut colour and love it. We put it in our upstairs hallway and stores all of our "stuff" that we can't find placed for. The top drawer is a little shallow but is convenient for smaller items. It was a bit difficult to put together but once we figured it out, it was ok.

It took 4.5 hrs to put this together by myself. Having a second person at certain junctures would have made it much easier. The instructions were excellent but one of the hardware mechanisms were very difficult to work with. The cabinet is not as stable as I would like and although the finished product looks really good I think it is over priced!

Nice Cabinet but difficult to Assemble

The cabinet itself is nice but it was a bit tricking to assemble. The drawer front was not square and took some time to get it right. Then the doors were real difficult to get adjusted so that when you opened doors it didn't pull the drawer open. Once you struggle through all that and get it set it is a nice piece of furniture

It had the look I was going for but I had a few issues starting off it wasn’t the easiest build holes didn’t line up in some areas and doesn’t feel very sturdy. Colour is a little darker than pictured ( the white wash version has more of a grey tone). Its shorter than I had thought it would be and the drawer is so shallow its basically useless. It looks ok and fits where I wanted it but its not worth the price unfortunately. I wouldnt recommend.

Nice design and functional with an interior shelf behind two separate storage areas. Single drawer across the top. Hardware is very good. Color is a dusky grey-white, pleasant and goes well with other furniture in the room. Wood is heavy and sturdy, made of dense wood particles with simulated oak veneer. Not your typical particle board, what they call "manufactured wood". Highly recommend.

Very disappointed

The pre-drilled holes were slightly off, and one of the doors was not squared properly. One of the doors jammed at the bottom and the other jammed against the drawer above it. We are experienced at home furniture assembly and we did adjust the hinges and try other troubleshooting. Product is poorly made and cannot be used. I ordered online and had it delivered, so now I'm stuck with a 15% restocking fee or I have to drive an hour and a half, one-way to the store to exchange for something of better quality... if I can find something. Until now, every experience with AFW has been great. Very disheartened!!

Having doors on my book shelf in the office made a huge difference in the cleanliness and overall feel. I recently redecorated my office to make it more matching and clean things up a bit. I am very please with the appearance of this cabinet. It is a bit smaller than I thought, even after bringing out the tape measure several times before purchase, but it forced me to downsize on books/things on my previous shelf that didn't have a purpose in my office anymore. It matches perfectly with my lateral filing cabinet. The instructions were very simple to follow in order to put it together.

Yikes do not recommend. The instructions were easy for me to follow but the doors and top drawer do not align. I have to flip the top draw upside down if I want to open the bottom two doors. So basically, the entire cabinet is not functional. I’ve put together cheaper priced Big Lots furniture that was better than this. Also the doors are not aligned and the instructions say to unscrew various combinations of 6 screws to align them. All screws are now striped and the doors are still gapped on both sides and looks like a child constructed. Surprised by the high reviews…

Beautiful

I got this to match the desk I got from AFW which also had to be assembled. I was so impressed with the assembly instructions and accuracy of the parts during assembly process that I decided to get this bookcase to match. I'm glad I did it went together with precision the same as the desk. All the hardware is very sturdy and well made. Big drawer on top glides and works well with perfect motion. Both the desk and this library stand which also holds my printer are a perfect upscale looking addition to my home office. I researched pricing and no one came close to AFW's price. Great products from Sauder mfg.

I love it! Didn't care for the "matchy" look of the knobs on the drawer and cabinet so I left the back part off the drawer knobs (may eventually buy larger alternate knobs for the drawer). As others have said, this takes a long time to put together (took me over three hours) and there are lots of pieces. I was prepared for that so it didn't bother or surprise me, and I view the lengthy assembly as the trade-off for having an inexpensive piece of furniture shipped to my door in just a few days, for free (seriously, aren't we lucky?).

Great looking piece - came in a SAUDER box with an 18-page assembly manual (8-1/2" x 11" pages) for "full assembly". Very thorough instructions; all pieces were present and accounted for - and nothing was damaged. My husband and I were methodical and slow - it took us 3 hours to assemble this by the time we adjusted the fit of the door alignment. Still, we are very pleased with the result. We put this in a weather-safe location on our screened in deck - the light color will go nicely with the light-colored rattan deck furniture we've ordered.

I needed a new storage unit that would fit in a tight space and give us better craft storage. This piece was perfect for what we needed. The top, single drawer is good for small items, scissors, paint brushes, etc. The double doors open to two shelves that are ideal for holding everything else - and it has to hold a lot. But it's great space so now I can get to everything easily and the piece looks good. It was not the most perfect construction process. Although pieces are labeled, it didn't label them with which side is the top or bottom, front or back. And I did find out the hard way that I got it wrong. It also did not let me backtrack and corrrect those mistakes easily. So do take your time as you put together because you won't see those errors until things don't line up quite right at the very end. It also was more like a 2 hour process for me. I gave this a 4 as I'm happy with the piece but not the construction process due to how the pieces were (or were not) labeled.

Exactly what I was looking for! Great color and over all look. I wanted a small cabinet for my office. Take a look through my photos of the ‘build’. It is not terribly difficult but did take time and patience. The cabinet doors needed a good amount of adjusting to get set nicely and even then the lines are not perfect.
