Only time will tell, but some damage in the box.

All in all, it's not too bad despite small issues with dents. The FedEx delivery was 2 hours past it's delivery window, but I waited it out to help the driver unload as it's a heavy grill, and I'd seen several pics of deliverymen mishandling large/heavy items. The box only had minor scratches/scrapes with no visible mishandling. I did a lot of reviews before ordering this grill and was concerned about shipping damage as well as damage that had to have happened before it was ever boxed. This was the case for me. Although, not as bad as many other reviews, Char-Broil's QC needs improving. I didn't order this from a scratch and dent sale! And, it was shipped directly from Char-Broil, fulfilled by Walmart. I've attached pics. Although the damage was small and I was able to use a rubber mallet to bend back in shape enough to put it together, it shouldn't be this way at all! And, I have some high temp black paint to touch up the marred paint spots. (One is on a dent in the pics) It took about 3 hrs. to assemble with all the misalignments/dents. Maybe that's what Charbroil does, sells their seconds through Walmart for a reduced price since Walmart's price and Char-broil's website price is greatly different. I haven't had a chance to fire it up, season it, then use it yet so time will tell how long it holds up. If I had paid what Charbroil lists it at on their website, I'd take it all apart, put it back in the box and send it back. And, Charbroil, if you're reading this take some advice: When you put that much weight into one large box, you're just asking for shipping damage. Also, directly from Charbroil's website description: Grate Material Porcelain Coated Cast Iron. This is not true. They are just cast iron. Again, is this a seconds oversite that they sell through Walmart? Buyer be informed.

The grill was dented and scratched when it was received but I have no way to report it to Wayfair. There is no option under My Orders to report the damage. It's a nice grill, but after paying so much money for it, I would have liked one that was not damaged.

i love the grill. the only negative is that it arrived slightly damaged. i had to hammer 2 different areas to straighten the gaps so it would fit together.

[Rewarded Review] The worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had

Bought this grill for my husband as a Father’s Day present. Little did I know that they will send a damaged item and now to return it has become one of the worst process I’ve ever experienced. I’ve spoken to more than five different customer service agent and each one has a different guideline to proceed with the return. To the point that as of today, none seems to know how should i return this. One of them even told me to disassemble the grill to be able to send it back, after I paid $100 via Walmart for them to assemble it. Terrible experience. The third party vendor hasn’t even return any of the messages and my money still on their pockets. Think it twice next time you’re spending more than $10 at Walmart.com.

This grill arrived heavily damaged and Charbroil is refusing to return the item. I’ve been fighting with charbroil and Walmart for 10 days. Walmart will not return the item or do anything but send the seller a message. What a joke!! Over $500 I’ve paid for garbage! Don’t buy this product or anything from charbroil for that matter!

Really nice grill

We really like this grill. The option to use charcoal or gas is great. If we don't have time for charcoal, just firing up gas and getting dinner ready... it's awesome. Took about an hour to assemble. It was damaged and dented up in shipping though..not happy about that.

Always thought highly of the brand first time use go out look at my pit after the next couple of days and all the paint is peeling off the top of it did not get the pit too hot actually was slow, cooking ribs in it and rusting in the paint peeling Wasn’t even a week old

Looked like they rolled this thing around for a few days before throwing it on the truck for delivery. Every panel was bent. Then to top it off, the grill grates were missing.

Grill was shipped very fast. Didn’t take to long to assemble. Like the option of using gas and charcoal. Great buy.

We were really excited about having a new barbecue. So I ordered one for my husband for Father’s Day. I paid for the assembly. When the gentleman opened the box, the tray on the bottom was bent. And then the grills both of them were broken. I have enclosed the copy of the pictures. I would like to be reimbursed for this.

Not Happy! We were excited to assemble the grill only to find out that it is banged up and rusted in many parts. You can see just a few of the MANY defects in the pictures Looks like we received someone elses return. Very dissapointed with this purchase. We will be contacting customer service.

Would give this more if my grill didn't come super damaged. The box had big holes everywhere. When assembled I saw the severity of all the damage. Scratched in multiple places a massive dent in one hood and small dents in the other hood...the bottom shelve is caved in so unsafe to even put a propane tank. The grill itself worked great but the damage made this not worth the money I paid.

Got this grill, put it together and cooked on it in one day! It is great. It did come with denta in the hoods, but nothing that wasn't easy to fix.

Nice Solid Combo Grill

We love this grill! It was easy to put together and so far it has worked great. We haven't used the charcoal side yet, but the gas side has worked well enough. The only complaint that I have and it's a small one, looking at the charcoal side, to control the heat it is a slide damper at the top of the barrel and that could be a problem with a hot grill, so we will see, but I like the huge ash catcher. Nice solid combo grill.

The assembly was tough. I am not the most mechanically inclined. I did it in my basement with the tools provided and it took five hours. It works great. The flame covers are starting to rust but again i love the grill. The assembly was hard for a white collar guy

I got a really good deal on this grill. when it arrived it has a big dent in the front. I kept it anyway because it's such a big heavy box. but besides the huge dent in the front this thing is spectacular! best grill I've ever owned! love love love it!

Very cheap and poorly made. The shipping box showed no damage but many of the parts were bent, dinged, or otherwise damaged.

This the best grill for people that sometimes don't have the time to grill using charcoal, so having a gas grill right there is great! I love the charcoal side, with the raise and lower tray, plus all the pull out's to clean. Note: I read a review that someone had received medical attention from using the gas side of the grill. To this person: first I will bet you started up the gas with the lid closed, hit the igniter button then opened the lid, always have the lid open when starting your gas grill, also you said the igniter would not work all the time, your manual tells you how to adjust it to work, read it! Overall a great grill to have!

Jury still out...

Have had the grill a week and have grilled twice (1xgas, 1xcoals). So far, so good. Gas elements pop occasionally, and reviews are mixed about why & how serious this is. I haven't smoked a meal yet, but will later this weekend - I'm optimistic. My last gril lasted 20 years and was donated to my son. I hope this grill is equally long-lived, although the steel construction ha sme concerned. Bought on sale for 1/3 full retail price.
