**Purchase Review: Shark Clean Sense Air Purifier 500**

When I opened up this product, it said remove the bottom to remove the plastic off of the filter. I removed the bottom there was no plastic on the filter. It smelled dusty. I picked it up and blew in it. The filter was full of drywall dust. Although it is not Walmart‘s fault, it had been returned evidently. Someone did an awesome job packing it after using it. I was so disappointed. I called customer service and talked to them and they said I would have to return it to get a credit. I didn’t have time to go to Walmart. That’s why I had it delivered to my house. So when it was all over, they replaced it. With another one that was twice as big. I had my heart sat on a smaller air cleaner, and it was supposed to be black. The one I got was bigger and white. I look like I have a small robot in my living room.

Love it for my 750 sq ft apartment

2 months so far. It's quiet and efficient. I really like the automatic adjustments from the sensor. It's very easy to swap out the filter. You just turn it over, twist, and lift. After the first use, my apartment's air quality went from 76% to 99% in about an hour. Whilst cooking, I can watch the indicator go down to around 90%, but it goes back up to 100% in about 20 minutes. I was skeptical about the price, but I'm really glad I didn't go with a cheap air purifier.

Works great and makes you aware of air quality

As I expected from Shark, this is an excellent air purifier. It's a little loud on the highest (and most effective) setting, but if it's left on low it is barely noticeable. I love that it shows the air quality percentage on the display. It really helps me to learn which things impact the air quality in my home. I mainly use this air purifier in a 200 square foot room that has little natural air flow, and it works to keep the air fresh and clean at all times. I've also used it in larger spaces and it works great too.

Amazing product helps with air quality and sicknes

I’m almost certain this kept my whole house from sharing flu A. My child had flu A I kept her pretty quarantined to her room but she still came out and about. But I kept this by her door way and I feel like it helped keep spread of the droplets down. Also I can tell a huge difference when we cook anything with a strong smell it immediately can sense it and I can tell an immediate difference in the smell of the air. I’ve always had a weird draft in my house where food smells collect in one room of my house but with this I’ve already seen a difference in the air quality. I’m hoping to see a difference in the “dust” now too I do plan to buy another one . Definitely a recommendation.

I thought these machines were more of gimmick than actual technology and I couldn’t have been more wrong.

So far I am leaving a 5 star review. We purchased this one because of the brand and it didn’t seem to have any gimmicks (eg: UV light) and it uses true HEPA unlike some others and Shark is a quality brand I trust.

BUY IT! Worth it !

I live in northern Indiana and the air quality is bad right now with the Canada wild fires and we are advised to limit outdoor air exposure my kids started coughing and I got a little paranoid because I live in cheap apartments and the ac is pretty dusty as it is but I was also worried about the pollution coming in through ac since I don’t know how they’re set up here. Ultimately I looked through many air purifiers not wanting to spend much but I wanted to make sure my kids were breathing in clean air or Atleast not the toxins from the fire. So ultimately I went with this one after debating on the cheaper ones. As soon as I plugged it in it read my air in the red zone. It checks the quality every few minutes and adjusts the reading again. I only bought one for my apartment but I might buy another to be safe because of how close to Canada we are. Praying for everyone to stay safe and healthy with these fires going on. News reports say in the higher affected areas one hour of exposure is equal to smoking one cigarette and for children and vulnerable people this can be dangerous. Definitely worth investing in it if you’re in an exposed area.
