Does not work not worth the money.

It does not work very well and the quality is not that good. Purchased a $5 torch from an Asian market and it works great and easier to use.

Works well.

Works well for the purpose of caramelizing the sugar on top of creme brulee. It will stop working (momentarily) if it becomes too hot.

Easy to use torch

This torch is so handy and easy to use. Have been doing creme brulee lika a pro!!!

Disappointing

When it works, it works fine. Difficulties I experienced with this torch:

Huge flame.

The torch works great and has a huge flame! Have not used for anything cooking related yet but it is very nice.

I have wanted a torch for a long time, in order to make Crème Brulee and other recipes. This is a high quality torch. Recommended.

Decent

The flame isn’t very adjustable seems same flame intensity. Otherwise easy to use. Be sure to get extra butane as ours got used up torching 6 creme brûlée’s

Wonderful to use

I love the chef torch. It's light and fits perfectly in my hand. It's so easy to use. I would definitely recommend the chefs torch to anyone, beginners or pros.

Handy to have

I gave this to my husband for Christmas. It wasn’t a surprise though. When he opened it he said, excellent now we can have dessert! Creme brûlée is one dessert that I can have occasionally. I avoid all gluten and grains. You do need to buy the butane separately. We also used it for New Years Eve.

Less than 5 minutes

That is how long it will take you to use this fabulous appliance. I purchased a previous one from Sur LaTable and could not get filled and of course could not use it at all.

First Torch

This is the first torch I have owned -- so I cannot compare it. However, it was EXTREMELY easy to fill and use. Worked like a charm - I am very happy with my purchase

Fun kitchen tool

This torch is perfect for caramelizing sugar on creme brulee and for toasting marshmallows on s'mores pie. It has worked great for many years although I don't use it every day. I bought one for my mom for Christmas and she loves it too.

"Does the job, does it well"

This is a solid product, producing a very consistent and hot flame. The igniter works the first time almost every time, and the flame adjustment is precise.
