User friendly, especially for hands with arthritis

This opener is so easy to use.......I have trouble twisting an opener that requires the use of my thumb. With this opener, you use your whole hand. I love it, would highly recommend. The only bad thing is that I didn't find it sooner!

This easiest when used with the right hand, but it is also usable left-handed. It requires some hand strength to squeeze repeatedly during operation and some dexterity to get it positioned correctly to pierce the can lid at the beginning. My husband has cerebral palsy and is able to use this independently with only one hand when he rests the can on the kitchen counter.

This can opener works pretty good, just as long as the cans have a normal size edge. Had some problems with cans with a small edge. All in all nice and convenient. I have small hands so tokk a little while to get the results I was looking for.

Easily Opened My Cans!

I thought this can opener was especially easy to use and worked exceptionally well. I like how you only have to have one hand available to open a can, and a free hand for something else. This is perfect size and washes up nicely.

Really can use it with one hand

I was gifted this item to give my honest review. I currently have a manual can opener that you twist that does the safe edges on the can. I also have a battery operated one that basically opens the can for you (but is slow). When I got this one it took me a few tries to figure out how to use it. You really can use it with one hand and there is a magnet that is convenient to help you dispose of the lid. As far as which one is faster; my hand held that twist or this one I would say tit for tat.

I was gifted this item to write an honest review from lifetime brands. I loved the squeeze can opener. I’ve honestly never used one till now. It’s very easy Vs the one you have to twist. I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends. The instructions are very simple to understand.

Not my main Squeeze.

Okay, this little number takes a bit of getting used to. I love the idea of it and after some practice, I did get the hang of how to use it and it works as described. It is easier than the twist style especially if you have some weakness in your hands. I will not be replacing my electric opener but will be happy to have this on hand as a back up. I can see this being a go to gadget in a house that does not use an electric opener.

Backup to an electric

Not as fast as my electric can opener used to be but much faster than it goes now. That's because it's nearly dead.

I had a stroke 10 years ago and have spent a FORTUNE on hand held can openers and AA batteries. I researched something, anything that could help me. I found this and though I'd gives this a try. I wasn't expecting much. it arrived today. IT WAS LIKE CHRISTMAS. IT WORKS GREAT FOR ME. It is a joy to be in the kitchen again. You don't want to know how many cans I've opened today. lol. Thank you so much for a fantastic experience all around. Plus's...Easy enough to use if your grip is not 100% Cuts as not to leave edges of cans too jagged. Gives you confidence in the kitchen. Just take it out of the package and it's READY TO GO! No batteries. No silly contraption that is constantly breaking. ENJOY!!!!

GARBAGE

This thing is a piece of crap. Right off the bat it woiuldn't completely remove the lid. It was always hanging on by a sliver of steel. Kind of defeats the purpose of "one-handed". I would also find a thin sliver of steel that would fall into the can. Luckily once I knew I always looked for it and never ended up eating one or feeding it to my pets. It also barely lasted 6 months before it was trash. It's supposed to be a tool and I expect a tool to last a LONG TIME! In the past a can opener would last me YEARS! Like 10 - 20 years! Not this thing. It sounds good in theory but save your money and buy something that might last longer than just "months"

I lost the use of my left arm/hand after I survived a brain aneurysm. I'm constantly looking for quality products which help me live independently. Most battery operated devices are junk. This can opener was designed by a genius. It is sturdy and very easy to use. I actually love to use it. I wish that it came in different colors. As it isit is perfect.
