Good sturdy cabinet, few minor hardware issues.

Very nice piece, good material. Some of the hardware didn't have the holes in it exactly where it needed to be, but this was fairly easy to fix.

Way better than a bulky metal file cabinet, can keep in the house as a part of decor!

It took a few hours to assemble this but it came out perfect. I couldn't be more pleased with its appearance and quality.

Beautiful Cabinets but Not Practical

It is a beautiful cabinet, but regrettably I've found that the drawers do not extend / open very far so it's a difficult challenge to access one's files. Essentially, you can only access files in half the depth of the cabinet. Because I bought to of these, I will plan on using the back for storage, but even then it is difficult to see what you have stored.

I am happy with this file cabinet. It held more than I anticipated. So that is great. It is also a great place for my printer to sit, so I have everything close to my desk.

Purchased for our home office, it is a beautiful piece of furniture and high quality.

Better than bankers boxes but not much

This is not fine furniture by any stretch. Made of pressboard does have a very heavy backing in it to help prevent tipping. I spent numerous hours trying to adjust the drawers so they would both close at the same time. The instructions mentions that you will need to do this. However I had to redrill a couple of holes to get everything to work correctly. I was unable to get one of the drawers to be straight. I made several attempts on different days just was never able to get it just right. Both drawers now function and from a distance it looks just fine.

Don't Buy

I should have believed the reviews. I thought maybe they just got a random bad product, or didn't know how to assemble. This product was a mess from start to finish. Veneer was chipped and stained over, scratches, veneer on decorative legs was peeling and had to be glued back on. Drawer assembly pieces were plastic and broke - husband engineered something that worked. After getting it all together the top drawer rested on the bottom drawer on one side. We took drawers out and discovered the premounted drawer slides moved up and down. Husband was going to tighten screws, but discovered they were stripped so there's no way to fix it. Gave this 2 stars because if quality was better it's a really nice looking piece. I'm trying to get my money back, but not sure how it will go since OD policy states they will only take furniture back unassembled in original packaging. There's no way to know until assembly if the item has these types of problems.

Okay, but not greatest quality

Better than the broken filing cabinet I have, but veneer was chipped and covered with stain, still visible. Veneer on decorative trim had to be glued back on. Husband had to re-engineer drawers to make them sturdy.

Very unsturdy

I purchased this for my business office for client files. Within a day the door brook and the screws pulled apart from the side wall of the unit. Returning today.

We bought the desk and hutch and basically bought this as a printer stand. We are so glad we did, it is large and sturdy and gives us the additional space for supplies and files - highly recommended.

Terrible discoloration

I have the u shaped desk that matches this cabinet in Walnut. After putting the desk together I noticed lots of spots of darker discoloration on the top. I chose to just live with it. Now I get the matching file cabinet and it’s even worse. Called customer service and I would have to take the whole thing apart, box it up and ship it back and they’d ship me another one. What a total pain and to much hassle. Buyer beware. I guess I’m stuck with a crappy looking desk and now file cabinet.

The product is fine. Putting the two drawers together caused a but of a headache because some holes didn't line up properly. Despite this, I would probably buy another because it is relatively inexpensive and matches the desk and file cabinet I have already purchased.
