This cowhide rug is great looking with it’s random placed metallic gold. Ambient light in a room makes for an interesting display.

This rug looks high end and glamorous. I was nervous that it might look tacky; but it looks better in reality than in the photo. The silver reflects any light, whether daylight or artificial light. I didn't want the rug to scream "dead animal." The silver adds as artificial element that makes a different kind of statement. I wanted to place it on white marble in my foyer, but a hide rug is actually too flimsy for that space, I discovered, although the shape looked great. I ended up layering it on top of cream carpet, and it's working very well.
