I bought a regular slip on spout which leaked. This one is much more secure and does not leak.
Easy to install and fits my tub.
This is spout is plastic, which is not preferred, but it comes with all of the parts to adapt to any pipe and connection type. It is easy to install and has a video if you need it. I chose it because the design and finish closely matched the other fixtures in my bathroom.
Cannot use with pipes that freely turn
Many bathtub spouts allow you to simply slide on the spout and tighten with a screw. This one does not. You must slide on a plastic adapter, then screw on the spout, which is impossible if you have a pipe that freely rotates (because if you try to screw on the spout it simply rotates the pipe instead of screwing on the plastic adapter). This design is terrible and it needs to state that it does not work on pipes that freely rotate (like pipes attached via push fittings). This needs to be on the package.
Down spout/diverter for bathtub/shower
This brushed, stainless steel bathtub down spout and diverter was easy to install and works perfectly! Not one drop of water goes to the down spout when the shower is running! A big improvement from the previous one ! Highly recommended!
Great looking product easy to install. Had some issues with leaks. The installation instructions and video were not very helpful had a video for this specific model been on line. It would have been a 5 minute install. Once I installed the gasket in the right place it was sealed tight and works great.
This is the second one of these spouts we've purchased. The first one only lasted about 6 months. We only purchased another because we couldn't find anything that had much better reviews at a reasonable price. The spout was easy to install, and looks good, and functions well. We'll just hope it lasts a while.
Works just fine
Not sure what all the complaints are about installation. I've done at least a dozen of these over the years and have always used a name brand like Moen. This one was much easier to install - the Moen seems to be over-engineered. Not sure why others had difficulty. It fits tight against the tile wall and diverts the water about as good as can be expected, given that this is the most inefficient way to divert the water to the shower spout. To top it off my wife, who is very particular about everything, likes it and gave me a hard time about always buying the name brand that didn't work. I didn't give it five stars because this is just a tub spout.
Just okay
They have multiple mounting options, but the included plastic fittings don't look like they would last. I bought a 1/2" IPS extension so that I'm just connecting to a full metal stub out. Don't know why Danco doesn't provide a rubber trim on the top, so need to use caulking...and even if so, it should provide a channel to install caulking don't need caulking on the outside (I think it just looks better). Water kind of goes everywhere when it's not a strong flow. Diverter works fine.
NOT Universal
Not Universal. Reducer adapter was the correct diameter but the threads were not the correct type to thread onto my copper pipe. As a result, had to use my old reducer adapter from my old spout, which was not ideal. Multiple reducer adapters should be included in the package.
Very Low Quality
The finish stated wearing off almost immediately. And then the internal corrosion made the diverter nearly impossible to pull up. Save yourself the time and expense of replacing this in a year by simply not purchasing it in the first place. I replaced it with a Kohler K-15136-CP and expect that fixture to last substantially longer.
Danco Brushed Nickle spout with Diverter
Just installed today so I don't know how long the finish is going to hold up. The installation was easy , if I could change something with this product I would have used an Allen screw on the slip lock, the Phillips screw was very difficult to tighten even with an offset screw driver. It took me about 15 minutes to install. I replaced a Moen Spout that leaked from day 1 , this one beats the Moen all day.
Leaky diverter
The faucet itself looks nice and feels sturdy. After installation I tested the spout with the diverter engaged. While the shower came on, the faucet was still spraying a large amount of water all over the place. Pushing the diverter plastic with my finger towards the pipe made the leak stop. To me this indicates that the diverter is faulty and not sealing properly. As a leaky diverter was the only reason I was trying to replace my tub faucet, I can not recommend this product.
Easy to install, BUT the set screw is too short
Replacing an existing fixture onto a 1/2" copper non-threaded connection, their system works great with one exception. Only issue is the set screw in the adaptor that holds the spout from rotating is TOO SHORT and does not grab the 1/2" pipe. Barely could feel it screwed down fully (inside the piece). So you will need to trim the edge where the set screw seats itself - like 1/16" is plenty a bit more will not hurt. Used a hack saw into the nylon - 2mins. Then it grabs the pipe correctly.
Diverter faucet worked like a charm
Perfect fit for a Moen faucet replacement. Took me longer to get it out of the package than it did to install it!! My daughter had just returned from a long trip and needed a shower and the old one had siezed up. Not good timing, but was able to get it fixed and functional quickly.

This product uses a metal screw for securing hardware to the copper tubing. The screw penetrated the Cooper and became stuck after placing the down spout over the plastic insert. I had to cut the brand new tub spout to remove it and purchase a new one to complete my project. The screw damaged the tubing and would not allow the attachment to go flush with the wall. It was my worst simple repair ever. A flat end screw should have been used with this product. After the ordeal I now have to install a new nipple which will allow the spout to seat

The set screw did not hold onto the 1/2 inch copper pipe stub. The screw looks to have been too short. The screw would only protrude through the plastic ring clamp may 1/16th of an inch...no clamping effect or very little. Spout came off after a few day when the shower diverter was used.
Lock screw too difficult to access and tighten.
The Philips head locking screw is too difficult to access being that close to the wall and with blocking from the tub itself (in my case). Had to redo the whole thing with sweated copper instead. It should be a stainless steel hex or something similar so a right angle tool can be used to get in there. Right angle Philips head screwdrivers tend to slip.

Nice universal tub spout. This quickly resolved my issue with my old one where the diverted had deposits making it difficult to engage. I cut my copper pipe and used the provided adapters. It was quick and pretty easy to install.
Looks great and has all the parts to adapt to your pipe stub
I really like the style and finish. It is a close match to the other brushed nickel fixtures in my bathroom.

Average. Not that much of a fan because the diverter must be pulled very hard to get a complete seal when the water is running. Most people with a tub shower adjust water temperature via the spout, the actuate the diverter. This spout seals fine, if you first raise and hold the diverter, then turn on the water. But who does that? I fear that the excessive pull will eventually cause a premature failure bFor the price, I give it a 2 because it does function and is low cost, but not in a way that most people would want. Given the labor invested for installation, we’ll live with it for now.
