Cheaply made, horrible assembly process. Threw it away

Good concept, poor execution

I looked forward to getting this but was disappointed. Although the quality was good, the design needs to be revamped. All the screws are about 3/16" too long (except the four that secure the cushion), so have to be cut down so as not to bottom out in the female receptacles. The screws and receptacles could be harder, so the supplied hex keys don't round out the holes. The upper ring would attach at only three of four points because the chair legs were too wide (poor design), and the ring would not bend to accommodate the gap at one point. Had to get another screw (about 1/2" longer) to bridge the gap. The legs should have wider feet; this could be a problem for RaceDeck or SwissTrax flooring as they might cause permanent indentations. The feet are height-adjustable, which is a plus.

Stool

Stool for work bench; the product is good although some punch outs were not all the way through so some manual effort was involved to clean them up. I had to add some additional washers to allow the supplied hardware to tighten properly. I used some of the extras supplied with the cabinets.

STOOLS WITH SHORT SCREWS

When I opened the boxes to assemble the two stools, the supplied screws were TOO LONG. I had to purchase shorter screws from a hardware store.

Nice stool but because of the hardware hassle, it gets a low rating. Unfortunately like others reported I had to purchase new shorter bolts to assemble the stool. The supplied bolts were about a quarter inch to long and bottomed out in the well nuts before tightening up the bar union's. If the bar's weren't pinched at the union they'd of worked. An oversight in hardware planning most likely.

Not good quality

The metal rings on the stool came with the silver flaking off and rust showing through.

The stool did not go together properly. I had to contact the manufacturer twice for product defects. The manufacturer was difficult to deal with. I will never purchase a New Age product again.

worst product ive ever purchased

As others have mentioned, the rings are too large, unless you want to bend the rings into squares, goodluck getting them to sit flush. Also, the hardware is trash, even if you wanted to tighten them all the way, the nuts prevent you from doing that, since the screws bottom out. Im very upset with this purchase

Poor Construction

There are gaps between the rings and legs of the stool. Two of the bolts started to strip the heads when trying to tighten them down.

Nightmare to assemble - Worst hardware choice ever

I bought two of these stools. I received them almost two weeks ago, and they are still in pieces. I am an expert at assembling things. The choice of hardware for these stools is terrible. The screws and barrel nuts bottom out before tightening on the pieces they are supposed to hold together. This is not a mistake on my part. This seems like it would be an issue for everyone that has purchased this item. The amount of time I have wasted trying to make the assembly successful with this junk hardware is ridiculous. I have purchased some new hardware in the hopes of keeping/using these stools. That is not something I should have to do. Based on the difficulty in assembling these stools, I would not recommend them to anyone. If I am able to get them assembled with hardware I provide, I may post a review on how well they actual perform as a shop stool.

CAN'T MISS PURCHASE!

I BOUGHT THE 12 PIECE bold SET OF CABINETS, BENCH, ETC AND IT DID NOT TAKE LONG AND...WOW, I LOVE THE SET UP. THE MATERIAL IS AWESOME, THE SET UP IS AS USEFUL AS IT GETS AND LOOKS FANTASTIC. WHAT A COMBO! I HAVE SINCE BOUGHT A STOOL, MORE ACCESSORIES TO HANG TOOLS, ETC. ANY THING NEGATIVE YOU SEE IN A REVIEW SHOULD BE IGNORED AND I AM A PLAIN OLD CUSTOMER AND HAVE NO RELATIONSHIP TO NEWAGE OTHER THAN BEING AN OVERLY SATISFTIED & SUPER HAPPY CUSTOMER.
