Delivery was supposedly delayed from Friday to Monday. It arrived Saturday afternoon. Hurrah. Next comes seeing if it really is what was described and then the install.
Even the plumber was perplexed
If you have existing plumbing for a claw foot maybe this will work for you. One thing is for sure, unless you add a lot of unspecified "find it yourself" parts you are not going to connect to this faucet. The connectors in the back are Male 3/4" IPS NOT 3/4 NPT or Female IPS. BIG DIFFERENCE! I challenge you to find something to match up to this that was not designed in the early 1900's. I visited the hardware store, Lowes and two professional plumbing houses. All just shook their head. One was able to hobble something together for me but I am not to keen on trying it. I thought sine it mounts to a tub I could be a little handy and mount it through a wall (knowing the faucet stems would be short and I could extend them. In a word, NO. Nothing for sale that I can find will mate up with a 3/4" male Iron pie size non tapper pipe. The thread size and pitch is the same as NPT but it leaks like a sive if you try it. The only thing that will mate up is the special riser pipes that come up from the floor and do a 90 degree turn at the faucet. My setup need to have the supply go straight horizontally inot the wall. If it were a 1/2 IPS or even 3/4 female IPS there are adapters that I could purchase that would get me over to regular pipe or plex. But that's not what this is. I strongly caution you to find something that will connect to a 3/4" male IPS straight thread before you purchase this. If you've go the old style riser supply coming up from the floor ready to conect have at it. Otherwise keep the packing material, you will need it.
Too expensive for having so many flaws
1) The shower pole is way too short and you can't adjust it as the connections are proprietary, it doesn't reach from bath to ceiling and I had to get the curtail rail separately attached, and no, 2 contact points doesn't make sense.
No instructions in the box and no shower head. Als
There were no instructions for assembly in the box and seriously why they there no shower head with this. Not happy at all.
Shower head problems, problems, problems
The item itself is good, not great, but good. The picture with the item shows a shower head. Continue reading,,,,and nope, no shower head. Why would a company sell a faucet assembly without a shower head?? So, go to Lowes, they don't have the shower head, because they don't support the product. I said, well forget this, I went to a plumbing company and bought a $2.05 coupling that would accept standard size shower heads, insted of the $60.00 cheap shower head they sell seperate from the unit. I do not recommend this unit because of the shower head, but the unit itself, seems okay. Haven't actually installed it yet, but that saga is coming next.

All parts sent did not relate to each other...all different dimensions. The shower ring had to be customized with parts sourced from other suppliers...very, very disappointed. Thank goodness for This Old House who showed this befuddled would be plumber how to make this expensive mistake work.
Support fitting screw holes mis-aligned to ring
Terribly disappointed in the manufacture of this shower curtain ring. Holes were totally misaligned to the point where only one screw was able to be inserted on each side of the joining fitting. Ring tubes had to be driven into position with a mallet. Once a single screw was inserted, the other screw in the fitting was between 1/32" & 1/16" out of alignment. I am utilizing this ring since there is a rush to install; hopefully the supports will hold with only one screw installed.

Shower head allowed water to run back down the riser on to the floor and wall brace was to short
Great solution to the shower problem
Very happy with this. After reviews I wasn't sure. But I hadn't problem getting tge holes to line up. Put a little soap on the ends to allow them to go together smother. Its a rod to hold a shower curtain plenty strong. Happy with the rod.
No instructions and needs more support
The package arrived with no instructions and an extra support is needed for the shower rod. The shower head was not included, as the order did show, but I can find no one a Lowe’s that can tell me what or which shower heads would be the best for a gooseneck stand. So I will look for one that is not too heavy and not too bulky for the rods. It was reasonably priced for a bath downstairs with an old clawfoot tub that will not get used except when I have a girl friends week end, but no matter how intuitive it seems to a handyman or plumber, a homeowner needs INSTRUCTIONS!
faucet was good but the curtain ring is flimsy.

My family love’s our new shower! Would have been rated at Excellent but for 2 things....no instructions were included and no adapter to attach the shower head. Wasn’t easy finding one at the hardware store. Went to my local Home Depot and was sold the wrong one. Waste of $9! Most of the shower is common sense to set up but had me guessing on some of the smaller parts...overall am very happy with our new shower for our claw foot tub!
I’m very satisfied.

I really like this faucet and surround unit. It went together easily, with good directions. The only problem we found was that the shower riser was too short for taller folks, so we bought a 6” nipple and coupler to increase the height of the shower head. It’s a good product!
