[Rewarded Review] Traditional Style Faucet for a Farmhouse Kitchen
We’re getting closer to done on our renovated kitchen. This faucet was just installed and it suits our needs well. I wanted a style that wasn’t too narrow in style. This faucet read “Farmhouse or Country” to me. The faucet was well packed, and had no damage to the stainless finish. Instructions were clear, and the box included tools to add in installing. The mixer valve has pex type lines already in place to be connected to your hot/cold water lines. There is a plate included if you have three holes in the countertop to cover - we didn’t use the plate as this was installed on a new countertop. This is constructed using some plastic parts, but the faucet comes with a lifetime warranty. That works for me! The faucet works, looks good, and was a fair price! (Review is for Delta Eldridge Faucet in stainless steel.)
[Rewarded Review] Stylish and great upgrade
The Delta Eldridge single handle pull down handle faucet is a quality addition to a kitchen remodel or just a standard faucet replacement. The faucet it replaced was worn, leaky, and lacked sufficient height to clean large pots and pans. The Delta Eldridge has been a great replacement. The finish is polished nickel and even though I have not replaced the sink, fits in very well with the color profile. The faucet has two spray options, standard and jet spray. The retractable spout makes hand washing or filling pots a breeze. The added clearance above the sink along with the flexible hose has made cleaning much less of a chore.
[Rewarded Review] Elegent, high quality, lifetime warranty
One of my favorites. Looks elegant and feels sturdy. I like how high the handle is as well. Delta is my go-to brand for our own house and rentals; since we get less call backs(virtually none). I like how delta doesn't really cheap out on materials and parts like many other brands have. Their supply lines are significantly thicker and better than many other brands(3/8 built in supply lines) The magnet dock is one of my favorite features and ours from 14 years ago is still working. Keep the area under your sink clear or the pull down hose may get tugged on it
[Rewarded Review] Another plastic faucet from Delta
You'll never see the guts of a Delta kitchen faucet by viewing a store display, But if you open the retail box and compare Delta to the competition, you'll see that Delta is still using its 15 year old "all plastic" internal construction with integral plastic PEX water lines, and new models like this now even have all-plastic mounting hardware, including attachment nuts. The specialized Delta plastic nut "wrench" is required for both installation and future removal, but many homeowners toss it out after initial installation, not realizing that they will need it again a few years later. Semi-rigid PEX waterlines are harder to install around other plumbing under the sink than the flexible stainless steel braided lines of other brands. "Lifetime Warranty" is advertised, but no repair parts are listed on the Delta site, so they may ship you an entire replacement faucet. I am a professional who has installed and reviewed dozens of faucets in the past decade, and from my experience Delta makes the only name-brand kitchen faucets that are made primarily of plastic. Just open the boxes and compare the quality differences of brass waterways and rigid steel internal construction to plastic; it's easy to see.
[Rewarded Review] Sleek elegant and functional
I needed something sturdy but good looking, stylish but functional and it hadcto blend in. This faucet did not disappoint. I opened the box, picked up the faucet and felt class. It took me longer to get the old faucet out then to install this - about an hour in all. It came with options for a single or three hole replacement. They also included a great tool that slipped over the threaded rod to tighten the nut.
Extremely Low Water Pressure
We purchased this faucet in January of 2024. We have had no issues with it up until about month ago when our water pressure became extremely low all of a sudden. We checked for leaks, inspected under the sink, etc and concluded that it had to be a fault in the faucet. My water pressure in any other room was completely fine. I currently own Delta Products and have never had an issue. Outside of my issue, I'd say that faucet is great and I love the way it looks for our kitchen.
[Rewarded Review] Affordable Quality with Small Exceptions
I selected this Delta faucet to replace an aging faucet of similar design in my kitchen. I have experience with the Delta brand and like the quality I receive for the price.
[Rewarded Review] Nice fit and finish.
Nice simple style. Magnetic sprayer is strong and just right. Easy installation. A little bit confusing instructions as you might detainee the connection your faucet comes with. Instructions are for various models with different parts and connections. Mine came with the base lock ring to hold the interior hose housing in place not attached. I think this was a miss from the factory as the instructions didn't say anything about having to install. It was a bit difficult to reseat inside the unit. I used an small tipped flat head screwdriver to work into place. After install, looks great. Happy wife, happy life.
[Rewarded Review] Questionable engineering decisions from what I used to consider a leading brand.
You typically can't go wrong with Delta. And as usual, this faucet is top-notch from both mechanical and material-quality standpoints. But there are a couple of what I consider VERY POOR engineering decisions with this particular product. FIRST, instead of using standard, flexible, braided stainless supply lines, they use long, fairly rigid, pex-style lines. I don't know if this is a new industry trend, or just a cost-savings decision, but I DO NOT care for it AT ALL! This material is difficult to make short bends and manipulate around existing under-counter plumbing. The instructions show that you can make long, sweeping curves or loops to make direction changes (kind of like a freeway clover leaf) or cut the line shorter (using the two included bushings to make new ends.) But neither of these are optimal choices. I went with the sweeping curves method. But this puts what I consider to be undue angle stress at the connection. And while I could be over-worrying, I can't see how this won't eventually result in a connection failure and leak. The SECOND issue is the pulldown counterweight. I've installed about a half-dozen of these in the past, and every one has used a clamp-on method to keep the weight in an optimal position for return force AND to keep it from hanging up on things under the counter. This one is simply a donut shape that hangs freely on the hose. This is a poor decision, any way you look at it. 1. The more hose you pull out, the more it changes the weight balance, providing less return force. 2. If the weight is lifted above another hose or pipe under the counter, it can get hung up, providing no return force at all. I used a clothespin-style clamp to keep the weight in an optimal position for our preference and installation.
We are very pleased with this faucet. Installation was easier than anticipated. The hardest part of the project was removing the old faucet. The supply lines are nice and long which resulted in less clutter under the sink. Another welcome feature is the faucet's smooth rotation.
We bought this because we had a plumbing emergency and it was the only one available the next day. The spray feature is weak—four little streams that feel like s toy, not a piece of plumbing equipment. The other alternate spray is a weird bubble-like shape for a balloon glass. No idea why anyone would ever want that. Good stream, good spray would be ideal, but this is not that.
Shame on you Delta
My sink isn't thick enough for this faucet. The instructions show a thin deck aid, not included with all models. You would think they would just include this plastic item, which probably costs ten cents. But I had to order it online at a cost of $18 and now I have to wait. Delta included confusing generic instructions and replaced the stainless steel water lines with Pex to save money. I'm sure they will respond to this review with their condolences. Talk is cheap and evidently...so is Delta.
I love Delta products specifically due to the ease of installation and the awesome spray feature on the newer models. My disappointment with this product, which I am returning, is the finish. The “bronze” finish keeps changing which does not allow for coordination within the kitchen. This bronze finish gives the appearance of scratching or etching which just looks used and beat up. I love the faucet but hate the look.
This was a fairly easy installation, but needed a new valve on the hot water side. My handyman accomplished this easily enough. I love this faucet so far. It's beautiful, leak free and turns easily. After struggling with my old one I have to wonder why it took so long for this great design to be accomplished. I love the height of the faucet neck as well as the spray head attachment. I was not able to use the soap bottle, due to the interference of the drain pipes below, but my handy man was delighted with th bonus of the bottle as a tip for his kitchen. Thank you.
Simply terrific
I was skeptical of a pull down spray faucet, but 6 months in, it's terrific. The quality can't be beat, it has a smooth operation, both in faucet mode and as a sprayer which returns quietly with any drama - no splashing or surprise sprays. The Spotshield stainless finish is exactly that - no spots. A very handsome, easy to use and clean faucet.
Beautiful faucet after installation hurdles
I installed the new Delta Eldridge faucet last night and so far am pleased with the look of it, though it seems bigger than expected and will take a little 'getting used to.' The pull-down works well and snaps back in place with the magnetic action. The length of the hose is much shorter than my old one so it doesn't reach over to my coffee maker any more, but the shorter hose should get tangled up less. The water connection 'hoses' are very stiff plastic which made installation somewhat difficult. I would have preferred that they were the standard flexible type with the braided metal covering. The instruction booklet was very unhelpful for the installation since the parts and methods illustrated did not match the actual parts supplied in the box! Installation was a bit of a guessing game, but this is not my first 'rodeo.' Overall, I am pleased with the result.
Don’t Buy
My Moen pull out faucet needed to be replaced. Thinking I would like a pull down faucet, I puchased the Delta Eldridge model from Home Depot.
[Rewarded Review] Attractive and Functional
I’ve had this faucet for about 2 weeks and am quite happy with the item. As the prior faucet had been installed for almost 40 years, the nuts and bolts were rusted together, so I had to have a plumber install this new faucet. It is nice looking and swivels easily. The temp control is easy to use and the spray head has a useful “power stream” in addition to normal flow. The magnets keep the faucet head attached to the arm so it always looks good. The only concern with this item is the faucet is fairly large and heavy and may cause the back part of your sink (we have a lightweight stainless steel sink) to rock when moving the faucet from side to side and raise a little when pulling the faucet head off of the arm. Other than that very happy
[Rewarded Review] Beautiful Faucet!
My old kitchen faucet came with my house and I never really cared for it. Changing it out to the Delta Eldridge was so easy, I wish I had done much sooner. The faucet fit right into my four-hole sink. It comes with a plastic wrench to tighten the included nuts to secure it to the underside of the sink. It took longer for me to remove my old faucet than to install this one - it is that easy! For some reason, the included instructions show a completely different model faucet and don't quite match up, but it's still a simple install.
[Rewarded Review] Nice, featured faucet is easy to install.
The delta eldridge faucet is easy to install. If there is room to access the bottom of the sink, it will only take about 10 minutes to install, 5 more if you are drilling holes. The faucet has an anti-splash mode where it shoots a stream of water for scrubbing and a bubble of water to catch splatter. That is cool (see VIDEO). The other two modes are spray and center stream. To install, just attach wing nuts, thick washer and brash nut. Done. I did call Delta two times. The instructions included don't exactly match the faucet and the instructions are generic. I looked online and found a parts list that cleared everything up. There is a black U-shaped plastic piece with a metal top and two screws that appear to not have a function. This piece is for spacing between the bottom underneath of the sink and the bras nut. Tighten the brass nut, then give the screws just another turn to expand the metal piece. It is kind of odd to understand. The flexi hose went on easily but I didn't need to use the two plastic gaskets included. The weight was interesting as it just hangs on the hose. When pulling the faucet head, the weight gets tangled. So I added a c-clamp to keep the weight suspended above the bottom of the hose. This makes the weight always have tension and allows easy pull back of the hose into the faucet. The magnetic faucet head is nice too as it provides a snug fit. The soap dispenser likewise is easy to install provided you have access under the sink. Very nice product from Delta. My lady is very happy.
