Relatively easy assembly

I'm a 59 year old woman and I was able to assemble it by myself in under an hour. Zipping up the hammock after you insert the poles takes a little strength.

Hi, I’ve not been able to put it up as yet, as the cover I ordered had a hole in it, and with our weather, I need to make sure it’s protected. I did pit up frame, it didn’t match very well, but a bit of wd40 and trimmed the plastic and it was ok

Fantastic product and everyone loves it. Great for relaxing in and watching the stars on a summer’s eve.

Hanging circular pod

Lovely product. Strong, sturdy and looks good. Also has a nice carry bag to put it away. It does way quite a bit in the bag. I would recommend buying the outer protector with your purchase to keep the birds and weather off. Am struggling to get one now as they are all out of stock on the one that sits on the frame. Very glad I bought it as it is offering me privacy to relax in my garden.

It was extremely simple to set up. It took me 15 minutes tops, it fits on my porch which isn’t so big. It fit me 160 pounds and my 2 kids which are both around 45/50 pounds, you can also sit multiple ways on the hammock with still extreme comfort. I love this hammock it was a great option ! I’m no hammock expert but it seems like good quality, plus it comes with a bag and I love bags.

[Rewarded Review] This is the family favorite!

I love hammocks, but finding the right tree, the right height is often difficult. The Hangout Pod solves all of these dilemmas. My wife loves to relax in it and my kids often can be found hanging out there when getting off of work.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect to hang out and relax

I now look forward to evenings after work hanging in this hammock chair with a good book or a sketchbook. The fabric is rigid but that seems necessary for durability. Make it more snuggly with a throw blanket and a couple pillows! The entire construction feels quality and it holds up to 440lbs. It's pretty simple to put together and deconstruct for transporting. Crawling in and out is funny, regular hammocks collapse but this one might come back at you due to the circle frame. We also had success repurposing this as a hammock chair hanging from out basement joist.

I like the Hangout Pod over a traditional hammock because it is more versatile, you can also enjoy this Hangout pod at home or pack it up and enjoy it on the go. i’d been thinking about getting a two person hammock for our backyard but hammocks are so hard to get in and out of. then i came across hangout pod. after about 20 minutes of fairly assembly, for which instructions are included, i was able to try it out. it is so much easier to get in and off compared to a hammock and with the surface being flat my wife and i aren’t forced to be squished together, allowing for a more comfortable experience. we threw a few pillows on in and it’s really a pleasant experience, just being suspended, rotating and swinging slightly, enjoying the breeze and enjoying the time.

[Rewarded Review] HNgout napping pod

Listen I just put this up yeasterday so easy, net doesn't come with so sad cause Texas and summer mosquitoes. I can not get my grand daughter out of it. Morning she ran out side evening again out side it's the mosquitoes that ran her in. I will be purchasing the net. It's awesome looking on my patio maybe I'll be able to get in it when she go visiting.

[Rewarded Review] Much nicer and safer than a traditional hammock

Sooo much safer than a normal hammock and is meant to be shared. My procurement of the free-standing hammock chair from Hangout pod was one of the smarter things I have done in a long time according to my wife. Unlike traditional hammocks, we found it much more stable and user-friendly when getting in and out of the hammock and is especially well suited for double occupancy. The frame is a tripod of steel tubing with a durable powder coat of black paint and has rigid plastic/rubber feet for use on decking or concrete. The feet of the tripod are secured from accidentally expanding outward by a nylon webbing connecting to a metal ring in the center. The hammock is hung from the center point of the tripod from a metal ring from which six heavy nylon cords are attached to the reinforced webbing on the hammock. The hammock is approx. 6 feet round and made from all-weather olefin (polypropylene) based fabric. The hammock gets its round shape from a six pc. tubular metal ring inserted into a cloth loop in the hammock, much like a belt would be. The hammock and ropes form a natural cloth “lip” of approx. 6 inches high. This is nice as items cannot roll or slide off very easily. The actual experience when using the hammock was wonderful and made the whole laying back and enjoying the day very much pleasing. The OEM web site is very evasive regarding the origin of manufacturing and the only thing I could find where this item was made was on the material tag for the hammock and it stated India. The product comes with a nice carry bag for the poles and rings.

Item came with very bad smell

I just received our sage green hangout pod and we love it! It was super easy to put together and took no longer than 10 minutes. Perfect to relax in and just hangout. Can’t wait to bring this to the beach next summer!

Missing screws, but we're hopeful it'll be awesome

Love the concept, seems a little iffy on the leg connections... Like maybe it needs a rubber washer to hold it solid; instead of a metal on metal connection. Its hard to tell because our kit was 4 screw pairs short. Hopefully the company responds quickly so we can get to using this!

Don’t waste your time or money

Product was cheaply made, a pain to put together and ultimately the hammock didn’t zip up as designed. Could never use it. Be warned. This is cheap garbage.
