It was the perfect size for my application. I spray painted it the color to match the ceiling fan finish and it steadied the ceiling fan, as well. Mounted it with double-face tape and the fan mount will also hold it in place. Worked out very well!

You may as well buy the whole one and cut it in half yourself with a good saw. It looks like they used a dull hacksaw blade to cut this in half instead of a fine blade electric saw. The edges of the cut are very rough and rugged. I will need to sand the edges of the cut then caulk it smooth and that may be a mess. I was surprised that it was made of foam (I didn't read the description well). I guess I hoped it would be plastic like the solid round medallions and maybe have several light lines around the inside so it wouldn't be so noticeable where the actual cut line was when installed. It looks too delicate to put finish nails into without breaking it so maybe I will glue it and let the ceiling fan cover hold it in place. In all I'm glad there are medallions that came in two pieces making it easy to install a medallion after the fan is already up without fully disconnecting it, but I'm very disappointed in the quality of this product and the jagged edges of the cut. It's probably going to be more trouble than it's worth.

just what I wanted to go with the chandelier over my master bathtub area it's the right size overall and the inside diameter is perfect. And the best thing is it's just fancy that it's not too much so it leaves that drama for the light fixture itself. IT's perfect!
