They look great when installed. Ours have been down for 3 years. For the past two springs, I've needed to tear up and replace a few broken tiles. Some delaminate, others crack and crumble. You have to be very selective about which tiles you use, and which you don't. The good tiles that are installed well with full support underneath will hold up, but many have flaws that are hard to identify that will eventually fail and need to be replaced. Good luck!

There was some extra manipulation with placement as with the natural aspects of the tile some were thicker or thinner than others. You also need to be diligent about cleaning excess grout off right away. Looks beautiful! Exactly what we wanted

Quality control is lacking. Thick to thin 1/4" to 5/8", some were warped, some were out of square. Very difficult to lay properly. Had to cull over 25% of the slate. That being said the finish product looks great.

Looks nice but the slate is not very durable. I purchased several boxes for my project and there were at least one broken piece in every box. So I only got approximately 4 good pieces per box. With that being said I had to purchase more boxes because of the broken pieces which is frustrating. :-(

I used this gauged slate in my kitchen. There was a very limited mix of tiles unlike what was advertised. We got one color tile (dark gray with specks of color). I’m not satisfied with the MSI multi classic gauge slate floor the picture in the advertising is not representative of what I received.
