I bought this, not for hanging on the wall, but for assembling jigsaw puzzles. I needed something to put on my dining table to do the puzzles, but easily move when we needed to use the table for other things. I looked at dedicated puzzle accessories, but found nothing I liked. I don't remember the thought process that brought me to cork boards, but it was a great idea! I put several large self-adhesive felt pads on the back and now have a wonderful surface for my puzzles. When I need my table cleared, I just put everything puzzle-related on the board and set it on the spare room bed. It's great!!!

Got this for my kid to pin all his artworks on the wall. The mounting for this unit is pretty easy, just anchor the top corners, make sure its leveled, and mount the board to wall with screw through pre-mounted holes on corner. All mounting hardware are included, anchor/screws and plastic tab to cover the corner after mounting. I have tested a box of pins from Daiso, and the pin does not go through the cardboard on the back side so at lease this board is thick enough. The frames are metal but feels light. I took 1 point off because this board is advertised as 3x2 feet, yet when I measured it, it is about half inch shorter on width and 1 inch short on length, and this is with frame in consideration, not the actual usable board size. Overall it is a good budget corkboard.

Great size, sturdy frame, and easy to hang on the wall. My one complaint is that this thing smells so bad! I actually thought a cat peed in the room or my husband left boy sweat puddles somewhere. Nope, it's the cork. Left it outside to air out for a few days and the corkboard warped from the heat (that was my bad) and still stinks. Going to give it some time to see if it goes away.

Be aware: It's advertised as 18"x24" but it's actually 17"x23". (I have a nice frame I found in a garage sale that I was planning on transferring it to instead of the cheap aluminum one, but this board it too small for it.) Also, the backer board is nothing but cheap corrugated cardboard, so I don't expect it will hold up very long with repeated pinning. I wasn't expecting solid cork for this low price, of course, but cardboard? Really.

I bought this as protection for my wall behind my dartboard. If you throw a dart hard enough it will go through, so I taped crushed beer cans on the back and cut a circular hole in the center for the dartboard. My wall is much much safer now after buying this product. Only negative is that the side paneling sometimes will fall off, but then again most people aren't throwing darts at this product. Well worth it for the money!

Cheap Product that Does the Job

I picked this up at my local Wal-Mart using ship to store. Once I got it to my office to take it out of the box, the corners literally were falling off. The outside of the box had some slight damage and that translated to damage on the cork board itself. However, I figures that the stuff I put on the cork board would just cover up these area.
