I searched high and low for the proper handle size for my main water cut-off valve. I finally found the correct handle size (16 point) on the HD website and ordered it. Delivery was a little slow, but I worked perfectly.

This hard to find item was exactly what I needed. I spread a little grease on the splines, and the attachment screw, to make sue it won't rust.

Too big, spins like a top

This is way too big for my faucet stem. It just spins like a top even though it looks identical to the handle that broke.

To large for my older Nibco stem. I was able to fashion a nut to fit in the handle and then press fit it on the stem.
