great daybed-mattress advice

Really like this daybed, and was easy to assemble. You do need a drill for the slat screws. Just wanted to provide some guidance on buying your mattress. I really wanted an XL twin mattress for this daybed, and purchased one online. When it came and was fully expanded it didn't fit (was too big). I thankfully was able to return it. What I learned is that some XL twins are 80x39, some are 79x38. I then ordered a 79x38 and it fit perfectly. Got a Sealy Chill Cocoon Twin XL.

I would absolutely buy this again!

I love this bed. I purchased it for my daughter and I am pleased. It is bright white, durable, and was packaged very well! It is everything I thought it would be and maybe better. I have zero complaints. This bed also arrived super fast! (2 days)

Very happy

My teenage daughter's new bed and she loves it. It looks so nice and gives the space she needed. I didn't get the trundle, so it provided storage space and I opted to put foldable matching baskets underneath. Perfect. Well made, too, and for a great price. Really, really nice. Very happy.

reviews said antique white, but its true white. It seems to be sturdy, trundle pulls out easily. thinking maybe an XL mattress would have been a perfect fix. the regular has about 3-4 inches on each end. its ok for an office....and occasional overnight guest

Great day bed

The bed is really nice and sturdy. The trundle slides easily. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the top mattress states its a twin, but it appears to be a twin XL due to there being slight gaps between the mattress and sides. Overall, very happy with the bed.

No hardware!

Have not gotten to enjoy the bed yet. Upon opening the box found out it didn't come with hardware. Called and emailed the company that same day (Saturday). My daughter has been sleeping on a mattress on the floor; we got rid of her old bed thinking we were putting up her new one. Thursday, called the company again finally got ahold of someone, they forward the email I sent to parts and let me know they'll get ahold of me. She CC'ed me, so other than seeing that email I have not heard or gotten anything from them. It's been a full week. The bed is cute, just wish we could enjoy it!

Great Bed

Was a little hesitant about buying this bed without actually being able to see it first hand. Went ahead and bought it based on the great price and wasnt disappointed with its quality. Time will tell for sure, but for now Im very pleased with the product. Easy to assemble, will definitely need 2 people for some parts.

I love this daybed trundle. I really. Perks up my spare bedroom and adds additional sleeping. I love the way it's made and the trundle slides out easily when needed to pull out when my grand daughter visits. It was easy to put together. I love this piece of furniture.

Adorable in my client's daughter's room! She loves the trundle for sleepovers, and the finish is high-quality! The trundle bed slides out easily, and is sturdy. Would highly recommend!

Nice looking bed. Wish there was some sort of stop to keep the trundle from sliding too far under daybed. One of the pieces was damaged (probably during shipping) but is in the back of the bed, so I won't request f a replacement. Also one of the screws had metal filing the hole to screw in, so may have to buy one at home depot to make sure bed doesn't collapse. There wasn't an extra. Took about 2 hrs for 2 of us to put together. Part of it was just figuring out parts and directions.

This was my first purchase from Overstock and now I'm hooked. I bought this daybed for my office/guest room. It couldn't have been more perfect. Quality furniture! It is a classic piece that won't go out of style. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being hard) it was a 4 to put together. Not bad and easier than I was expecting. I would definitely buy this again and again!

Great looking daybed

Looks great, fits an xl twin mattress which is a plus, very easy to assemble. Feels solid with slats provided. The sides are a little short with a thick mattress wish they came up above the mattress a little more.

Lovely daybed!

This is a beautifully sturdy wood bed that is serving as a guest bed. It was easy to assemble, but it did help to have an additional set of hands during the assembly. The only reason why it's 4 stars rather than 4: the slats. The plywood is very soft. I have purchased a bunkie board to lay over them in order to provide a little more stability and peace of mind for guests sleeping on this bed. That said, I am very pleased with the speed of delivery, overall quality, and end product.

Our tween daughter loves it!

UPDATE: 2 years old and STILL loving it! Our daughter is turning 'teenager' this month and has asked for a matching dresser. Easy to assemble and sturdy. Can change with age and styles. Only reason I gave 4/5 is because it doesn't come in antique or off white, which would match the rest of her furniture. But perfect for young girls and great for sleepovers.

Better quality than expected!

This bed is well made! We are very happy with it! It was sent to us quickly and wasn't to bad to put together. It did have an oily smell for a couple days but the quality is worth it. It's a great thing when you get something that exceeds your expectations!

Great quality and easy to assemble!

This bed is great. I was able to assemble it (bed and trundle) in about 1 1/2 hours. I did need a little help holding the long pieces while attaching the bolts but other than that, it is basically a one person job. A little damage on a couple pieces from the shipping but kohls took care of it for us immediately. Outstanding customer service! We bought this in black and our son loves it.
