Not for California butter

The butter dish is too small for the taller, wider California shaped butter sticks. It should not be sold in California stores.

This item is also too small for a stick of butter. The glass on the sides is wavy and uneven.

The butter dish is made well. And its not plastic. will last a long time.

Butter Dish

It is heavy glass and sturdy. I was surprised that it was just placed in the delivery box without any wrapping or padding. Fortunately it did not break.

Ideal butter dish

I needed a second butter dish to use for my outdoor kitchen. This glass presentation butter dish is perfect. I always liked the quality of Anchor Hocking and this one is both durable and elegant.

Small but useful

It's little shorter than my previous one and I like it less because of that.

Yes, I would buy this again.

You would think a simple glass butter dish would be simple to find. After breaking my mother's, she wasn't satisfied with the quality in other stores. I brought this home. Now, mom is happy!

I like the sleek style; however, that is the very problem I encountered. It is so smooth, it is almost impossible to lift the lid off unless your hands are slightly damp(as in when you've just washed and dried your hands).

Nice heavy glass butter dish. nothing fancy but will do the job of holding my butter.

The lid gets slippery.

This is a rather frustrating butter dish. The glass top is just the wrong angle so if the lid has anything slick on it, like, say butter, the lid slips off your fingers as you try to grasp it. Just a poor design. Works fine if it is completely clean, and your fingers are clean, but washing the lid every day gets old quickly. If it cost more, I would give it one star. But it is cheap, that is it’s redeeming feature.
