While it clearly holds 3 x 5 cards as advertised, it does not hold the alphabetical tabbed dividers.

The Advantus Index storage box is good for holding index cards. I personally use it for my miscellaneous items around the house like pens and pencils.

This is definitely great quality if you're looking for something very durable, I'm expecting this to last quite some time with regular use. I specifically picked this item because of the type of lid since the flip top types almost always eventually wont stay clipped/closed after average use. Only disappointment for me was that correct size tabbed index cards are too tall so the tabs are smooshed when clipped closed.... but still worth it.

I would buy this item again for sure!

I received this today so I can't say how it will hold up. I'm putting a review up with pictures so there are more angles available. I like how it closes. There are handle on the sides that lift up on a little extension piece to close. Hopefully that's clear in the photos. I put 300 index cards in there to test. The cards are 3 by 5. They fit well and another 100 will probably fit. It's thinner plastic than I was expecting but still fine for storing index cards. Those ones with tabs wouldn't fit in this box with the top on. I hope this is helpful!

Works perfect for what I need it for. I intend to use it for holding notecards that have lesson plans on it for our hone school. The side snaps are a little easy to open, but it would still survive most falls off a table. The notecards pictured inside it are the 300 pack from Home Essentials Direct basics. I did that to show how much this will hold, I think I can fit about 100 more in there tops.

This box is a little awkward. It latches on the sides, so you have to unlatch the sides to open the box. I did not expect this. Also, the index cards I am using in the box are tabbed, and it's a tad bit short for the cards to stand up straight, although I probably will not need them to anytime soon. I couldn't find a simple index card box at any local retailer (I live in a rural area), so that is why I went to Home Essentials Direct. If I had seen this in person first, I wouldn't have purchased the item. It will do for now.
