Not successful

It took 3 of us to assemble, it was an all day process. A lot of little pieces, some did not fit in properly. At times, there were awkward positions of assembling the pieces. I highly don't recommend.

A replacement for my 11 year old identical Plant Inn which finally succumbed to the brutal Arizona heat/UV. The weakest part of the product is the planting trays which cracked. It’s still a marvelous product but assembly is not for the faint of heart. 33 pages of illustrations without instructions were challenging to say the least. I’ll accept responsibility for part of the issue being 11 years older & not as nimble or strong as I once was though. I reinforced the planting trays with Duck Tape & look forward to many years of fresh produce.

As a short female, this thing was kinda challenging to build alone but I was able to do it in about 5 hours. If you have no tolerance for following picture only instructions, you might not like this thing. It’s well made, sturdy and the seams are great so no bugs, or in my case, construction dust gets in. Be aware it does not have its own base and it has to rest on a perfectly level ground. My neighbors say it looks great too.

I like the design and storage option. It works great but it was difficult to setup and the clear, acrylic doors are very flimsy

This planter is well built, and convenient

Several years ago I had wanted to buy this type of planter, but opted instead for a cheaper, wood alternative. The wood planter was unusable in just 2 years due to decomposing wooden structure. This planter has been solid, well built and exceeds my expectations. I am growing vegetables and herbs in mine this year, and it has done an excellent job. I enjoy the hidden storage underneath the plants for hiding tools and other items, and the solarium for cold nights to keep the vegetation from freezing in the early spring weeks.

Took Some Effort, But Stands Well

The instructions for assembly felt like they were written in a different language. However, after deciphering them and setting it up, I'm pleased with how solid the structure is.

Loved these Plant Inns

I had two of these at my previous home. They are a little tricky to put together, but not that bad. We had winds up to 90 km hr and lots of hail and these withstood it all. I had them in the corner where the fence corner was, and screwed to the deck. They were the next best thing to perfect. I hated leaving them behind when I moved. We had them for over 5 years and nothing broke. You have to close the polycarbonate sections when the wind blows hard - that’s just common sense. I highly recommend.

We were very disappointed with the quality of this greenhouse. It was very thin plastic material. It gets very hot here and thin plastic will become brittle and break. We returned this item and would not recommend this product.

Assembly instructions need help.

It took about 6 hours to assemble, suggest doing some of the assembly on a table or workbench. The instructions are only pictures showing what number part needs to be used. Unfortunately, not all parts are numbered so you have to continuously go to the parts list to make sure you have the right ones. You have to carefully look at the pictures since you could install the parts upside down easily. During assembly some bolts are tightened right away and others need to be left loose until another part is added (look closely at the bolt pictures to see what ones to tighten). When adding the hoses to the drains suggest using a hair dryer to heat up the tubing so it will slip onto the fitting easier. Once it cools it will tighten.

Hard to Build, Easy to Use

I must admit, the assembly was a struggle, partly because the labeling on some parts was incorrect. After some head-scratching and a bit of rework, it's now fully functional. I'm impressed by how well it's holding up, especially during inclement weather.

Challenge to Assemble

My very mechanically inclined with strong ability to interpret pictures found this nearly impossible to construct. The 400+ pieces numbered and diagramed but very little else it took him weeks to assemble out of frustration.

Extremely hard to assemble. I have had three different people working on it, and still it is not totally together. Rather than instructions, there are only pictures, and there is no mention of needing a separate floor. Without a floor the structure does not remain square, and it become impossible to assemble. Very dissapointed.

Junk

Difficult to assemble. Would have been easier with another person. But after finishing I see several different ways it could have been done easier. Product is extremely flimsy and cheap. Parts do not line up unless you have a perfectly level surface. Plant trays are too short so I had to add bracing around them to they would not fall in on the sides.

Plant Inn Mini Greenhouse - Great Little Hotel for our Veggies and Herbs.

Excellent customer service from Jerry! She was great - thanks! Bought the Plant Inn just over a month ago (wanted to wait to do this review). I like the look, design, size and complete all in one unit for our back patio. It took us about 6 hours to put together - My daughter and I spent some time together to build it - it was easy to put together , just time consuming (great little project for us to spend time together - plus we took a few breaks along the way). She is the primary planter in the family and she loves it. Everything needed is included - space for soil and tools etc underneath - good depth and drainage, adjustable windows and ventilation etc. Love the raised bed. For clarity, this is not a high quality sturdy steel and window pane type of build - but I was aware of the quality of materials before I bought it, and I think for it's purposes, it is satisfactory. No issues at all after a month but lots of new growth!! Overall very satisfied.

Hard to put together

If you don't line up Everything perfectly,it does not shut properly and you can't go back and fix that one thing that is off a fraction of an inch,once you go through all the steps you cannot fix it,mine doesn't shut properly on one side,the top part holds only tiny pots,not enough bracing inside to hold any amount of weight,and let's not forget the "storage" area underneath'more of a pain to get to,and it will get wet from watering

Easy to assemble. I don’t have much of a green thumb but this does all the work for me! I just have to water a little and everything is growing fantastically! Plus it keeps all the bugs and critters off my veggies

The greenhouse works great. The material holds the soil well, drains well, and overall design is good. The polycarbonate is a bit flimsy, could be a bit firmer. Am not sure how many seasons it will last.

Expensive for what it is

I really wanted to love this but was so disappointed with the quality of it. When closing it, it has gaps where the aluminum meets. In addition, I don't see a way where it would support more than a couple of inches of potting soil. My husband made braces for the bottom so it would be secure which of course really cuts into the storage area but it was needed. Overall, I'll be able to work with it but would not order another one. For this price the bottom should have been made of a composite and the top should have have a much thicker sturdier material. Additional bracing is a must.
