High quality bins with gaskets

I truly love these storage bins; I just wish I could find more sizes. Had I seen these two years ago, I would have gladly paid extra to have when moving, instead of the ones I have which are still good bins. Only these by Sterilite and another brand have the great extra sealing latches and gasket to keep your valuables protected from dust and mildew.

Gasket and latch design protect items in storage

The Sterilite 80 qt Gasket Box is a great storage choice. I love the gasket and latch design so I can feel good knowing that my items are not being exposed to dust, moisture, and insects in my Florida garage. The bin seems to be holding up well in the heat of the summer and I appreciate the squared design to allow for easy stacking. The clear sides make it so much easier to see what I needs and get to it faster. I will be purchasing a few more to complete the shelf after receiving this bin in exchange for opinion.

Don't buy these bins, latches are trash

Save yourself the hassle and find something else. The latches' quality is poor and will last you about a month with normal daily use even if you're being gentle. My first latch broke off within a week and the latch was only used a few times, the second latch broke off weeks later with minimal use as well and 5-6 months later a third latch broke. The blue latch is made with plastic that breaks off easily with repeated use. Without the latches in place, these storage bins are useless since there will be nothing to keep the lid closed.

Love the boxes, shipping was problematic

I love these gasket boxes, perfect for protecting yarn from bugs and dust. I ordered 2 sets of 4, and unfortunately one box and one lid were damaged. I thought I could just exchange the broken box for a new one at Walmart, but found I would have to return an entire set of 4. So I am keeping the broken box, trying to sand the jagged edges and glue any pieces I find. Overall I love these boxes, I just wish the boxes were protected a bit during shipping.

Great to keep stuff out of!

I have been buying these for 12 years. They do a great job at keeping things like moisture and cigarette smoke out of whatever you're storing. I love them for that reason. The thing with these is; the latches constantly break off so I'm constantly having to buy new ones or save all old latches and continuously switch them around. I guess if you store things you don't open weekly, they're perfect.

A good product but came broken

I love these products, but one of the lids came shattered in the corner. There was no availability for item replacement, and if you wanted a refund you would have to return the entire items. I had 8 perfectly fine bins and 7 perfectly fine lids, but to be able to get 1 good lid I'd need to return all of them and repurchase 8 more. With a very inconvenient method of replacement, and the risk of them being damaged during shipping again, I just ended up keeping them all. Not sure if I will re order from here if I need more...

Great product, poor packing...

I have recently purchased several of these on Amazon, and overall, I love them! Great to store things away and not have to worry about bugs and dirt getting in (got rid of tons of cardboard boxes)... AND I can see what is in the boxes. UNfortunately, almost every order came with a cracked tote... usually the bottom one. Contacting the sellers and getting things straight is sometimes a pain... and I feel like they are probably thinking I'm looking for freebies or money back. NOT... I just want a new product for what I am paying. I contacted Sterilite and suggested a layer of bubble wrap on the bottom of the box. I was told that they don't ship to individuals, just distributors, and that's their problem. But... the totes ship out to the distributor in a Sterilite, so the distributor just ships to the buyers in the same boxes. Unless they open them and do the padding themselves, you're going to get a cracked/busted tote, almost every time. And then they eat the cost on replacement.

Great Size and Easy To Open And Close

This is the container I purchased to store items that I only use while baking or decorating. Piping tips bags, etc. and certain gel coloring, pans, and icing spatulas. Perfect for my use. I have very arthritic hands and this container is easy to seal and open. This container helps me stay organized and know where all of my specialty baking items are. I recommend.

very useful storage tubs

I use clear tubs like this to store a wide variety of things. These are good for long term storage in the basement, the gasket does a great job of keeping stuff clean, dry, and out of the reach of pests. They also work well for organizing, as they group things together, stack well, and you can see what's in them without having to unstack or open them up. The larger totes also work well for transporting supplies, where it's easier to load a few totes into the truck than it is to find a box and fill it wth a bunch of loose items. And you can just slap a piece of masking tape on the front and write on that with a marker if you need to label them. The lid is also transparent, unlike a lot of other transparent totes.

Perfect Storage Solution~!!

The 54 quart bins with gasket are the ideal size - not too large to handle, yet big enough to stow plenty of off-season clothing or linens, great for all sorts of items that need to be kept out of sight temporarily or for long-term storage. The gaskets make long-storage possible, as this edging along the tops keep out critters, moisture, anything that could destroy the contents. This version makes a world of difference, as I've tried the same bins without the gaskets for long-term storage with disastrous results, with documents and clothing alike ending up mildewed, while this version keeps everything fresh as a daisy. Highly recommend these beauties, and at the current bargain price of just over $13 per bin, it's time to stock up, even it you don't need them at the moment. Sooner or later someone will be heading off to college, or you'll be planning a move or cleaning out a basement, soooooo, go for it...they're the best! Btw, thanks, Walmart, your overnight delivery at no charge was a nice bonus...they arrive at my doorstep within hours (I ordered them at 2 a.m and they were here by 2 p.m.), and the driver had taken them out of the box for me, leaving the bins all set, ready to use, sitting at the doorstep. Can't be beat...I'll be re-ordering!

Best price @ walmart, good quality bins.

I am mostly pleased with the value at walmart on these bins, much lower price than anywhere else when I bought them.

Hoped none would arrive broken, but alas, no. :-(

I was hoping I'd be the lucky one where all 4 of the plastic boxes would be delivered in perfect condition, but alas, one cover is broken, hence rendering it useless for the intended purpose of keeping the gasket seal tight and the contents of the box "critter-free." So basically I paid for 4 boxes to only get 3 usable ones. These particular boxes were not in the store, so I took my chance on shipping, but lost. The 4 boxes are shipped stacked together in the manufacturer's original box (with the lids at top end), with no cushioning around it, so it's easy for the contents to crack during shipping. I cannot be bothered returning all 4 boxes just because of one cover (with the hopes that the next shipment won;t be worse), and I know they won't send me a replacement cover, so I'm kinda stuck. At least 3 will work. The other I will use for something else.

Gasket Boxes are great, if they don't come broken

These Gasket boxes are actually pretty great containers. They are heavier plastic than the regular Sterilite containers so they are good for holding heavier items. They also SEAL very well, so they are good for holding items that you want to be air-tight. I had mine delivered because I could not get to the store. The box that they chose to send me was MISSING 2 of the clasps which seal the lid to the container. As a result, mine is nowhere NEAR air-tight and does not close properly. This is no fault of the actual container, but of whoever chose my box for shipping, and then wrapped it up, and then delivered it, did so without noticing or caring that it was missing 2 of the closing clasps so it would never work properly, or as intended. Without the clasps, this lid doesn't sit right and it will not seal as required. I was VERY disappointed with this. I cannot get back to the store to return it, or I would have purchased it in person in the first place. I have purchased these gasket boxes in other sizes as well, and have been highly satisfied with the quality of the product. I am just NOT satisfied with the criteria that Walmart chooses to fill online orders. The website offers a computer generated AI for customer service which was of very little help. So I would recommend these Gasket boxes as containers if you want something a little sturdier than the regular containers, and that closes a little more tightly. However, I would also highly recommend that you PICK THEM UP IN PERSON, and take a look to make sure that all the clasps are in place before purchasing. Clearly, whoever fills the online orders, and packages them, and ships them, does NOT do that for you :(

Big “thumbs up” for Sterlite Bins!

Sterlite plastic bins with lids are the perfect solution to reorganize and consolidate.. Great locking lids, easy to carry or stack.. and I can see what’s in the bin. I looked at all sorts of plastic containers, for me, these are the best. And kudos to Walmart shipping for the best packaging and fast shipping. I received oversized boxes with padding inside so no breakage. Thank you!!

Excellent for protecting food

Missing latch - $16 wasted

I ordered two of these online and requested they be shipped to me. When I opened the box I found each storage box sealed into its own Walmart plastic bag. Upon opening one of the bags, I discovered that one of the aqua latches was missing. There's no point in having a storage box with a gasket if you can't seal the box all the way around. Whoever put the box in the big plastic Walmart bag had to have noticed the missing latch. Phooey!

The best storage boxes

These are my favorite storage boxes. The foam gaskets insure my belongings stay dry and clean and the latches keep the lid securely in place even if dropped. The variety of sizes makes it easy to store all kinds of items. I like them so much that I am gradually replacing my other storage bins with these. They are a bit pricey but worth the investment!

STURDY TOTES

These totes are well-made, very durable, stack nicely, and the 80 qt size holds a lot. I bought them to store Christmas decor in my garage. Each tote has 6 snap-on locks, which hopefully will prevent mice from being able to get inside to nest %26 chew my decor - a problem I discovered when emptying my old totes to decorate last month. These totes are reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.
