Solid and quiet bed, good price/value.

As described. Very sturdy and quiet. Instructions made it straighforward to assemble. Pretty heavy once it's put together. Drawers are not nearly as deep as they could be, that's the only thing I would change/improve. But they slide well and are quiet.

Highly Disappointed. DO NOT SHOP AT LOWES

I would give this bedframe AND Lowe's specifically 0 stars if I could. We had this bed frame for exactly a month before it cracked on the foot of the bed and collapsed WHILE we were on it (Christmas Day). TERRIFYING. Lowe's was a nightmare throughout the whole process. We discarded the broken particle board pieces with nails sticking out due to it being a serious safety hazard for our home. Because of this, which we did not find out until a month and a half later, Lowe's would not issue us a refund. We played phone tag with customer service for over a month (it was the holiday season), who NEVER told us we could have arranged for a pick up of the pieces before it was too late. We were instructed to visit a manager in store (who did nothing) and then to contact the manufacturer, Prepac. Prepac was excellent in helping us with the issue but unfortunately there was nothing they could do because Lowe's is in charge of billing. The Lowe's customer service team was less than helpful. Melanie (?) customer service supervisor told us no matter who we call, we would get the same answer. No product = no refund. I would think that Lowe's would have a better customer service department and WANT to help us with this atrocious safety hazard. Pictures of the disaster were not good enough and now we are stuck paying for a $500 bed frame that is in the garbage. VERY disappointed in Lowe's and we will never shop here again. Shame on you. Very, very, very disappointed.

Slowly falling apart (3 months)

We purchases the frame as well as the head board 3 months ago and it is barely holding up. Almost 4 of the center wood piece that support the bed don't even fit, their too short and always slip out of where it sits, our bed now caves in different spot. The diagonal metal brackets by the drawers have already came loose because of the small screws that were holding it. The headboard doesn't even snap into the bed frame, it kind of just sits their and doesn't even align properly with the bed frame.

RELATIVELY STURDY WITH CHALLENGING ASSEMBLY

Overall seems relatively sturdy for price point. Wouldn’t recommend this for everyone for home assembly. Boxes on arrival are all on the heavier side so if you are of the petite or more delicate build might be tough to manage. Sheer amount of hardware and wood pieces can be daunting due to the shelves adding complexity. My biggest complaint is that the frame rail holes were drilled slightly off center, making it impossible to thread screws into corresponding barrel connectors. Holes needed to be bored to allow screws to thread into connectors. It’s a quality control issue but over all of you don’t have issues manhandling packing, aren’t challenged by a sea of parts, and capable or slight modifications it’s a decent deal. Seems sturdy but time will tell, not overly worried.

Quality issues

Oh boy what a headache... first of all, nowhere in the product description is the COLOR listed, but let me assure you that this bedframe is Chocolate Brown, and not black as it appears in the photos. Now then, from unboxing to final assembly, this took me about 5 hours which was way longer than expected, due to various product quality issues: parts/pieces not being labelled, parts that immediately fall out when the instructions require them to be inserted somewhere, plus the 12 slats do not actually fit into the metal channels of the headboard and footboard - I had to cut about 1/8 inch off using a circular saw so that the slats would fit. Two of six drawer bottoms also had to be cut to get them to fit into the drawer channels. If you're not handy or don't have tools, this is not the bedframe for you. And the selling feature of this bed is storage underneath, but the drawers are too small to be useful - there's about 12 cubic feet of wasted space between the drawers. Next time we will buy a rail bedframe and slide plastic storage totes under, it will be a more effective use of space.

The bed is good quality but very difficult to assemble. The wooden planks which makes the base were almost impossible to put in place based on the instructions in the manual we almost gave up before we searched to find some DIY videos online. Luckily found one video where it showed clearly how to put the planks in place which is different than the user manual provided. Hope the company updates the manual accordingly else it's tedious to put the wooden planks in place using the current user manual.

Love this storage bed!

Great price, beautiful look, lots of storage, and fits perfectly in the space we had for it. Love it!

Cheap material, easily scratched, very smelly (even after a month), and hard to install. Wood slats can really use some sanding/polishing, but no they decided to leave it as is, which can easily cut your hand or cause wood needle to stock in your hand if you are not wearing gloves during installation. It can also easily damage the mattresses in my opinion. The drawer is also not easy to get it right, and you will for sure leave a gap between the door and the frame. Yea they have instruction to close the gap, but the instruction isn't useful at all. Tried doing what's suggested multiple times, and still not able to fully push drawer in.

Best Multifunctional Bed For The Price — Storage

Purchased this bed for my college aged son when we moved into our new home. It’s perfect. He lives in the little mother-in-law suite connected to the back of our home, (when in town). This bed was not my first choice, but he convinced me and I was more than pleased when it arrived. It is much sturdier than I expected for the inexpensive price. It has lasted quite a while and he’s rough on furniture— plus his ginormous Labrador Retriever sleeps with him. That dog jumps up and down on the bed. The bed is made of good, lasting quality material — for the price. It arrived promptly. I was also surprised how easy it was to assemble. I actually assembled it with only the help of my 98 pound daughter. It looks nice, better than in the photos. I’ll follow up and post a photo, when he leaves to go back to school. I dare not enter or he might ask me to clean his room — LOL. I definitely recommend this bed for anyone looking for an inexpensive bed for a teenager, college aged kid, or if you need a bed for a guest room. The storage area is a major bonus, especially for kids with lots of clothes. It keeps their clothes off the floor. The built in storage drawers at the bottom of the bed are the best part. There’s so much room for clothing and no excuse for kids not to put their laundry away. This is a multi-functional bed that can be used in almost any bedroom. I wouldn’t want it for the Master Bedroom. I prefer larger beds and you can still tell that it’s not a “luxury bed.” Best bed for the price and I shopped many local stores and every online store I could find. 5 starts for sure ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolute Awful Quality Control

This is the absolute worst piece of ready to assemble furniture I have ever had the displeasure of building. At least 90% of the holes were misaligned, not deep enough, or simply just in the wrong location. Even the drawer bottoms were too small (they wouldn't have fit anyway since the slots were misaligned. Look at that hilarious picture! I would suggest you stay far away from this bed set unless you like frustration and swearing. If you have a set of tools you can make it work, but it is not worth it. This bed has been going in and out of stock, so I can only assume they are pumping them out to meet demand, and throwing quality control measures to the wind.

Solid and fairly easy to assemble

Was looking for a Platform bed but didn't want to spend a huge amount. This was affordable, and after assembly is pretty solid. Instructions are pretty straight forward. Only beef is parts are not labled, so make sure you look at all the pictures and diagrams carefully. Middle support boards especially. Took about 3.5 hours to get this built, definitely recommend two people, it makes this a lot easier, drill will come in handy. Also comes in 3 boxes and they are heavy, so make sure you have someone to help you move them. That being said it is pretty solid and looks good for a $500 bed.

5 Stars

This bed is great. It's much sturdier than I thought it would be (very important when you're nearly 300lbs!). Some things that I wish I had known before buying it: 1. The boxes are very heavy. Like, you won't be able to lift them by yourself. It came in 3 boxes and each was about 100lbs. 2. The return process is a pain. The manufacturer would not ship a broken piece so Overstock shipped a whole new bed and I pulled the unbroken pieces from the new bed and then had to ship the broken ones back. Overstock made this as easy as possible for me, but I still had a living room full of boxes for two weeks while I sorted things out. 3. Putting this together is a 2 person job. You WILL NOT be able to do it by yourself. 4. The directions are relatively clear and easy to understand. They didn't use google translate to go from Chinese to English. They were written by someone who understands English. 5. If you have a big storage need this bed is good. We put a suitcase, 2 cardboard boxes of books, and some small storage bins under the slats in the middle (think things that I probably won't look at for another year...) and it doesn't affect the function of the drawers at all. Pro tip: take pics of what you stored under there so you don't have to tear the bed apart to look for things you think might be under there. 6. You absolutely don't want a box spring with this bed. I'm tall. We tried it with a box spring and ended up getting rid of it because the bed was too tall for a 6'5 man and a 6'0 woman. Splurge on a better mattress with that money :) 7. Its prettier in person than it is in the photos. We've had the bed set up for about 2 weeks now and have no issues so far. So happy we bought it! Updated 4/10/20: this bed is still nice. No problems at all.

I gave it 2 stars because it has a nice clean look to it, it came very fast, well packed and it was easy to put together (for the most part). I used a screwdriver and a drill (a drill only for the the 4 screws per drawer because they were long and the drawers had side solid wood panels). Particle wood is very sensitive and I would never recommend a drill, once it cracks it's pretty much done. Speaking of cracking, so it did! As I was screwing in one of the bolts (with the L wrench they provided) the tiny brass insert (which does not fit snug in any of the holes just so you know) easily pushed up and cracked the whole piece! (see pictures). That was the last one I had to bolt in. I used caution with all turning it 2-3 times and then holding it steady with the screwdriver in order for the bolt to go in straight. But alas it is cheap material and you do get what you pay for. I have very little to no confidence this bed will last past a year (I read other reviews and all odds are pointing that way). I would not recommend this purchase in all honesty, I should've gone with my first desire which was a built in murphy bed, a much higher price but I bet I would be very happy with- because this purchase makes me very, very sad :(

Very sturdy lots of storage, and love it

I ordered this on 9-27-17 and received it 9-29-17. WOW I can't believe how fast the delivery was on this bed. Bought together with Broadway Black King Bookcase Headboard Shipping : When it was delivered it was just leaned against my garage door and no one rang the doorbell to let us know it was delivered only reason why we knew it was delivered was when we left the house. Good thing it was tall enough that it leaned on the top rails of my gutter and not the actual garage. Otherwise it would have been disaster when we opened the garage. Assembly: Recommend 2 people. took my husband and I about 2hr30Min to put together. Total time for both Bed frame and headboard 4 hours. Although my husband and I are Tech people so it was easy. For a person, not too technical it may be more difficult as there are NO labels on any of the panels or screw bags. So, we found it helpful to lay all the pieces out and label the wood panels based off the instructions by matching screw holes. Once the frame was finally put together it is pretty nice looking a few dings, on the surface, but I think that was our fault just maneuvering things around we scuffed it up a bit. I used black acrylic paint to cover up dings. Pros- Its nice and functional lots of storage, and very sturdy. And love the overall look, doesn't look cheap but nice and classy. Cons: No labels on panels for assembly. Also bought this with Broadway Black King Bookcase Headboard, colors match perfect, but the width of the bed frame and headboard are about ½ inch off on each side so it cannot be mounted together and causes 2 inch gap from the headboard and bed frame. So we had to fabricate a buffer between the bed frame and headboard. Additional: We got a posture pedic king bed from *** and very thick, you do not need box springs with the frame as it will make the bed too high and cover the headboard. So we ended up returning out box springs at Costco. If you get a cheaper spring mattress then would recommend box spring. The material is particle wood, so very heavy, and cracks easy if you screw in too tight. But very sturdy. The shelves slide with ease. And are not loud. Another thing, when you get to the steps of putting the base wood in for the box spring my husband and I just slid them in with the entire frame already assembled, bc we failed to look at the steps completely. but it worked very well, just slide all the wood to the farthest side and adjust them and space them properly once all the wood is in.

Lovely bed worth the lengthy assembly

This bed has a solid construction, smart design, and sleek appearance. It took longer to ship than I had expected and came packaged in multiple boxes. I had to look through them all to find the instructions. I had also purchased the matching headboard and put that together first. Something I like about this platform is that there are no sharp corners -- nothing to bump yourself on. Our 14-inch memory foam king mattress sits in it beautifully. I'm very happy with the finished product. Assembling the bed was not simple, but the instructions were clear and straightforward. They highlight commonly-made mistakes (like installing drawer sliders upside down, etc.) I cleared the bedroom and built it there. It took close to five hours and I did use a handheld cordless drill (being mindful not to over tighten the hardware and/or giving the final twists by hand with a screwdriver. I'm glad we love it because I have no idea what it would be like to try to move the bed!
