This Coleman spa is made by Best Way. It takes one hour per degree of heat to warm up unless it is a hot summer day. When it finally gets to 104 degrees it can not hold it with the air jets on. Down to 102 in a matter of minutes, then 100, etc. Useless in the winter time. Same problem with indoor temperatures as well. In the second year developed an untraceable air leak. N When finally answered the phone, lady said they have no tech support. Said I need a new liner, $300.00, not in stock and don't know when. Filled out a email contact request form, never got a reply. Took this piece of junk to the dump. How this thing garnered 4 stars is beyond me.
The product arrived before the expected date, not a whole lot to assemble..inflated easily. It took some time to heat but once it did it was soooo nice. The bubbles come from the bottom all the way around. There are no jets on the sides but it is a cheaper hot tub but we are pleased just the same We need the therapeutic benefits of a hot tub for our arthritic joints and muscle pains. I would encourage others to purchase this hot tub since it delivers and is more affordable than other brands of hot tubs.
Update: after calling customer service, my new liner is on the way. Will update when I actually get it set up. Fingers crossed this one isn’t defective. I understand that production issues can happen. We love our spa and use it every day, but it has to be reinflated daily. I’ve filed three warranty claims in the eight days we have had it and have heard nothing from Bestway. I just need a new tub. The pump works great. I will give a five star review when this issue is resolved.
This is an amazing purchase for anyone who enjoys relaxing and getting their old bones soothed. I bought this with very low expectations. I put it in my garage so I could watch TV in my man cave while I am relaxing. I literally love this thing. I sit in it pretty much every day. It warmed up really quickly. It stays hot. All day, all night. I have not seen and change in my electric bill either. I could not be happier with this purchase. The cleaning isn't too difficult. I try to keep the chemicals up to date. I run the pump and heater pretty much 24/7 with no issues. I would buy this again and wish I would have found it earlier.
Love it. Changed my life.
Bought it for a lake house I was renting during a rainy summer week. It takes 12 hours to heat up! Wish that was more pronounced in instructions and packaging. Lol. Wish it came with an insulating cover like my friend’s does from a competitor. I live in Buffalo it stays at 104 and I maintain it about every two weeks. Earbuds and the moon when I unpacked it and brought it home. Love love love!
Air leak first day. Otherwise the real deal.
Set up required YouTube assist. After first night, deflated about 5-10%, with obvious air leak. Since then, we’ve been inflating every day once a day to maintain water and will have to drain to find holes to patch, at the end of the season. Disappointing. Otherwise, it’s been up and running as it should since end of June and we are using this hot tub every evening and it’s awesome, just like the real deal. Air leak has not worsened. We didn’t return because we were already committed (filled with water, heated, chlorine added) at the point we noted the leak.
Most horrible experience I have ever had setting up or installing anything. No instructions. Only pictures that made no sense. All you tube videos I could find were for different models. Parts were not the same. I’ve been trying to simply air the think up for almost an hour. Finally figured it out on my own by trial and error and the only thing I’ve accomplished is airing up the tub and the cover. There is a chamber of some sort on the bottom of the tub I have no idea what to do with. Not sure if it gets filled with air or water. I’m about ready to give up and send this thing back based on this experience. The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever experienced. It should have taken me 10 min max to accomplish what I have thus far with some simple instructions
Poor quality.
I followed the very poor instructions, and got the spa ready to fill. I noticed the sides seem to be deflating. So I decided to wait to see what would happen before I put water in it. Sure enough the walls deflated and it has a problem. I’ve had two of these spas in the past and they worked well. They were both branded Coleman. This one says Coleman made by BestWay. I’m going to ask for a return from Walmart. I hope there is good as Amazon with returns. I just spent considerable money to put a 30 a.m. electrical outlet in place for the spa. I also threw out the boxes as Trash was coming yesterday and now I have no boxes to return again. Really really, really disappointing Coleman. I thought they were better than this. I saw a large number of reviews online with identical problems. I should’ve looked there first.
Make sure to read reviews and watch videos
Set up was pretty easy--lifting the box takes at least 2 people. But once you get the box moved closed to wear you want to set it up it is ok. I set this up in about 30 min by myself. Look at various youtube videos to help you--because the instructions are VERY minimal and incomplete. It helped that I had viewed multiple videos beforehand and also while I was installing it. Does it fit 4-6 people--NO. Maybe 6 small teen girls if they all kept their legs bent. I would say fits 3 comfortably so you can lay legs out. 2 Very easily. There is no seat--so you sit on bottom with legs extended.
No customer service
My husband and I just bought this Coleman Saluspa at Runnings. We were super excited to get it home and set it up. We read the manual and watched some YouTube videos on setting up the spa. The manual is only pictures with no actual instructions on what to do, so there was definite guess work in figuring out if we were doing things correctly. (That's when we engaged YouTube which never lets you down.) There was nothing stating how long it takes to great the spa so I Googled that too. The one guy said his was at temp in 10 hours. Online searches showed 12-24. We've had ours running for 48 hours now and it's only at 95 degrees with the cover on it. I tried contacting costumer service and there is literally NO HUMAN to help. You can fill it a form which says they'll get back to you within 2 business days. Really? How is that helpful? Should I wait until the heat pump breaks down first? UGH I'm very disappointed that there is no help after spending so much on this including all the chemicals.
This is my second portable hot tub and I do enjoy it very much. The first one wore out and honestly, I didnt take good care of it. This one seems to be going strong and I have had it for a few months now. I change the filter and water once a month, shower before I get in and add a cap full of chlorine once a week. I also keep it out of direct sunlight. With the old one, the cover started to crumble because the sun was always beating down on it. As other reviews have stated, it does take a long time to heat to the 104 temp (about 24 hours) and will add quite a bit to your electricity bill if you keep it heated and ready to go daily. I have solar and 3 battery packs on my house so I dont get a electric bill. Before I installed solar, If I wanted to heat it, I just used it on the weekends and ran the filter during the week to keep it clean. This hot tub is great on hot days when you just want to cool off, have a few drinks and soak. I live in California, In the mountains about 4200 feet, the temp during the summer is about 90-100 degrees and I get snow in the winter. I havent tried the tub out in the winter yet but I keep it about 85 degrees during the summer and it is wonderful. This tub is the perfect size for 2 adults with room to stretch and thats about it. I wouldnt want to sit in it with 3 adults. Unless it was me and 2 other girls but then my wife would probably not be too happy. 😉I have the hot tub on a cement patio and the padding under is plenty to provide comfort. As far as the bubble ***.the hot tub shoots bubbles up from the base around the wall. The bubbles are the temp of the air outside so if you have the tub temp at 104 on a cool night, you will cool down the water within minutes. I recommend only using the bubbles if you are using the tub to cool off in the summer and you want the effect. During the winter (when I had my 1st tub) I never used the bubbles and in 30-40 degree temps I was able to soak for about 40 minutes if I started with a temp of 104 degrees. After about 40 minutes the temp would fall to about 95 degrees and unless I was ***.it was to cold to sit in it. Over all, I do recommend this hot tub. Expecially if you are a renter or you just dont want to cough up 5-10k for a reall ***.which is my situation.
First office I would like to say I owned this exact product for 4 years and only just replaced it to do an air leak in side wall. So I know how to use it and how to care for it chemically perfectly. On DiscoverMyStore I ordered the same Coleman product name and # and pictures describing it were identical to my last one. When I received it the shape of the pump/heater was completely different but I figured pictures were just never updated. I set it up without fail and it heated to 104. The main thing I did notice is that the tub itself now only has a spot for ONE filter and my last one had TWO filters which concerned me. But we used the tub once a few days after we installed it and then had it covered and running for a week after. When I opened it the water was cloudy so I tried some of the normal ph and water clear chemicals and it cleared slightly. Did not use the tub and opened it next day and not only was water cloudy again but running the jets produced DIRTY foam. I changed the filter after only one week (with no use of the tub by people) and it was filthy. I used chemicals to clear the dirty foam and foam got less and cleaner but now water was so cloudy I could not see the filter or bottom of tub even. So after trying for another day to clear the water without fail I completely drained the tub and washed down all the inside surfaces as I noticed they felt slimy to the touch. Dried tub thoroughly with towels and air dryer and refilled it. Crystal clear for a day and a half (again no human use.) Today I opened it and ran jets and noticed some top level swirls of what looked like slime. I checked filter (brand new and in only 2 days) and it was super dirty again. water is clear for now but that slime on top is still there. Something is definitely wrong with this filtration system or this tub simply can't stay clean without 2 filters like my last one (and exactly what I was supposed to have ordered this time.) What do I do here? I can't drain and clean and fill this tub every week. My last one was used DAILY from June through October for 3 years and I only drained and cleaned every 3 months. Chemicals and 2 filters kept it perfect. Please advise.
About nine years ago we paid over $11,000 for a six person hot tub with an enclosed gazebo around it. Three weeks ago the "mother board" stopped working. Of course, the most expensive part! Because of Covid, not only did they not have the part in stock, they had no idea when it would be available. And..... here's the ***.they had no idea how much it would ***.but they stressed it would be more than $1000.00! Oh hell no, and we started looking at the inflatable hot tubs, almost as a joke. After reading all of the reviews, taking note of all the negative ones for the cheaper ones, we decided to pay more for a better model and a well known manufacturer. It has been two weeks now, and honestly there are no problems and it is better than expected! Here are the points that most of the reviews have....** Holding the ***.the high temperature is 104 and it STAYS on 104! Even when in the tub with the jets, it only goes down one or maybe two degrees and that is after an extended time in the tub. Then in about an hour, goes back to ***.which I honestly think is a little too hot! Since we have it in the basement, it also has an added benefit to adding moisture to the house.**The Jets or ***.yes, they are not the same as the solid wall hot ***.but they really are close! I was shocked how powerful these jets are! You can get a good massage with these bubbles!**Sturdy construction, which I do not say lightly for an inflatable hot tub! Every part inflates separate, including the cover. Solid walls that can support your weight (I'm ***.okay probably more!) as you are getting in and out of the tub as well as leaning up against them when sitting in the tub.** Solid, good motor! The only funny issue with this is that it took us some time to realize you have to press and hold the buttons. At first, we thought it was broken. As a security issue, so you don't do it by mistake, when in or near the tub, you have to press and hold the buttons to start the pump or ***.etc, this is the best thing we ever got from DiscoverMyStore! We love it and highly recommend it.
Feb 7, 2021... and I am writing one (hopefully final) review of the SaluSpa model 15442 Coleman hot tub. Even though Saluspa never answered a single one of my multiple attempts to discuss my tub problems (sub-par heat and leaky/broken fitting), they did send me an entire new pump, which has apparently fixed my borken fitting, and apparently satisfied my desire for consistent 104F water temp. The new pump arrived this past Wednesday, Feb 3, and I installed it on Saturday, Feb 5. And while the large (2") water supply line is leaking, the water temp is holding a little better. And while I realize that the pump/heater is running on 120v electric, so maintaining consistent heat will always be an issue, the spa does seem to be doing better! -- My wife just got in for tue 1st time, with an ambient exterior temp of 70F, the temp in tue tub has dropped 2° in the last 20 minutes... so I will let you know how things progress over the coming days/weeks!I am not satisfied that SaluSpa would gave sent the new pump had DiscoverMyStore not been so darn good at communicating with me... AND likely with SaluSpa Coleman. Oh, and one final point... I DO keep the filters clean/replaced routinely!January 31, 2021... I am updating my rating from a 3 to a 4 star! The upgrade is because the manufacturer provided advice that, after 24 hours, has the spa apparently maintaining the desired 104F temp. That said, Salu Spa has not responded to my need for a defective (water flow) plastic fitting. I am happy to replace this small fitting myself but I need Coleman/SaluSpa to send me the fitting. January 28, 2021... The spa arrived in a timely manner. It was easy to assemble and to install... took approximately 1 hour. 2 problems persist... (1) one of the fittings, connecting the spa to the pump is broken,; and (2) the spa heats up to approxinately 102 degrees F, but does not hold the water temperature to a level even close to 100 degrees F. The final issue is that the manufacturer, or distributor, has not responded to my requests to send me an extra fitting (as I can facilitate the repair) and are not helping resolve the heating issue.
The spa was really simple to assemble and my initial impressions were positive. The liner felt like good quality and the pump/heater though underpowered was adequate. So positive was my initial perception, that I bought a second one to give to my parents - and recommended that my sister even purchase one for herself. That's a total of (3) units. Now after having used my spa for just over 7 months, the poor quality is starting to show. First, the air pipe that allows the pump to blow bubbles began to have a small leak. There is supposed to be a one-way valve within this line, internal to the spa liner, that prevents this. This part is obviously defective and just do a google search for "Bestway A-Pipe Leak" and you'll see that this is a common problem. The second issue is that the heater element relies on substandard rubber o-rings to seal the heating elements within the heater chamber. The use of rubber in such an application where the water is comprised of sanitizing chemicals was an engineering error. These kinds of seals should be Viton or Buna at minimum. Needless to say, the seals deteriorated and now the heating element is leaking (you can see the leak emerging from the base of the pump). To add insult to injury, I registered the product upon purchasing it during fall of 2019 - but did not set up and begin using until this spring. My warranty is now expired and Bestway is not helping in any way other than to offer to sell me the same substandard replacement parts. Having purchased (2) of these, I wish I would have saved my $1200 and just built a unit out of water tank, recirculating pump, and tankless water heater. This is NOT a unit that you can expect to get more than 7 months of use out of (no I am not using it in temperatures < 40F before you quote the manual to me). I would not recommend this unit to anyone. Save your money and either build something yourself or get a "real" version.************UPDATED 12/23/2020***************Adding two stars as Bestway agreed to replace my pump under warranty. So that others are aware, the pump/heater carries a one year warranty and the liner only 6 months. I will make repairs to the faulty liner myself by installing a check valve in the pipe. Also, would like to call out this supplier for price gouging as I purchased this unit from them last year for right at $500. All in all, you can expect the liner to last about 7 months before it starts leaking through the air pipe, and you should plan on a pump replacement around that same time. For the price you are essentially paying up front for two units. I would rather have just gotten higher quality unit in the first place.
My wife and I bought this tub because we *thought* we wanted to own a hot tub, but buying a regular hot tub out right is costly, and what if we were wrong? The Saluspa was a good low-cost (comparatively to a real hot tub) experiment to determine if we liked being hot tub owners -and all that comes with it. Well, after about 2-3 months of owning this thing, this is what I can tell you before you buy...1.) LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT SPA MAINTENACE/TREATMENT. I had no idea how complicated proper spa maintenance can be. Thankfully, I have some co-workers that own spas/pools and they were able to point me towards some really great resources and give him some pro tips. Aside from feeling like Breaking Bad or a chemistry master mind in the beginning, it became tedious to be constantly checking and re-checking my water levels -especially when no matter what I did, they weren't right. Why can't I get the tub to stop foaming so much? Why isn't is crystal clear? These were my frustrations while learning about water treatment, however once I understood the basics, and got in a good routine, I found it became pretty easy to maintain over a 10-15 minutes chore, 1-2 times per week. If you're not prepared to learn the science, and put in time to do regular maintenance like this (or more depending on frequency of use), then owning a hot tub may not be for you.2.) EXPECT THE COST. TL:DR, cost of operating (for me) is about $150/month. There is ongoing cost with this thing. Filters, chemicals, and most of all, utilities. Our utility bill went up about $100/month. We leave it plugged in all the time, letting the filtration system work (recommended), but we also keep the tub warm (~100 degrees) so it's always ready to go. Someone could probably keep their utility bill down if they wanted to turn the heat off when not in use, and turn it on a couple hours before use each time. My wife and I tend to be more spontaneous with when we use it, so we don't want to have to plan sitting in it beforehand, then wait for it to warm up. Beyond utilities, be prepared to buy filters regularly. The manual says you should replace both filters (there are two) each week. this would be another $20/week cost. But, we found that with just the two of us occupying the tub, plus only using it 2-3 times per week, AND with regular and thorough maintenance, we can get 2 or even 3 weeks out of a filter set*. So our filter cost is about $40/month. *By 'get 2-3 weeks out of them', I mean we use the same filters until power blasting them with the hose before/after each session no longer get them looking like new. Chemicals are fairly cheap and last a long time, especially if you do a good job with your maintenance so you don't need to buy the ones like the water clarifiers and anti-foamers. I keep on hand: water test strips, total alkalinity increaser, Ph up, Ph down, shock treatment, bromine tablets, household bleach (not the non-splash stuff). All of these have enough supply to last me a good 6 months, maybe more, so their net cost is nominal.3.) IS IT REALLY A 'HOT' TUB?Short answer, yes. It really does get your water hot (up to 104 Fahrenheit), and keeps it there reasonably well. However, once you take the lid off and get in, expect it to start to drop, especially in cooler temps and ESPECIALLY if you run the bubbles (more on this later). 104 is legitimately a HOT tub. I mean, that's arguably too hot for comfort (for most people, anyways), however, there are a few issue with the Saluspa heating capabilities:First, getting the water to that temperature takes awhile. Unless you want to keep your tub up in the triple-digits at all time (which I personally do), expect to plan well ahead for when you want to use it. I haven't timed it, but warming from tap-water temp (about 80 degrees for me) to 100 degrees, easily took 3-4 hours. Second, the tub will maintain that temp well enough for a prolonged soak, unless you run the bubbles. The tub creates bubbles (not jets) by sucking in ambient air, then pumping that out through a tube lining the bottom edge of the tub. The cooler the ambient air, the faster the temperature drops. It *seems* to try to overcome this by heating the air as it's sucked in, but it doesn't seem to make a big enough difference as I suspect most of the heat is lost simply from agitation of the water in the tub, not from the temperature of the air being pulled in. In cooler temperatures, you can lose several degrees in a bubble cycle (bubble cycle = 30 minutes). So if you're using the hot tub in warmer ambient temps, go for it! If you are intending to use it in colder temps, don't expect to be running the bubbles too often, or to be having prolonged soaks while the bubbles are on. Third, we have found that the tub cannot HEAT the water (even with the heat ON) once the lid is off. It can maintain, but cannot warm it beyond what it was once the lid came off. So if you set it to 100, jump in and decide to make it a little warmer... not going to happen. You'd have to jump out, pop the lid on and come back later to get those couple extra degrees. This doesn't sound like a big deal if you know your Goldie Locks temperature, EXCEPT...Forth, the tub fluctuates in temperate about 2 degrees from what you set it to. So if you set it to 100, it will fluctuate between 98-102. So in the moment you want to jump in, it could be on the cooler end of that spectrum and not be as satisfying as if it were right on or warmer than your desired temp (since a quick run of the bubble cycle could easily cool off those two extra degrees in about 10 minutes).4.) IT'S LOUDNot while sitting idle, heating and filtering your water. But running the bubbles is crazy loud. Comparable to running a leaf blower or shop vac -not quite as loud as either, but it has the same constant air pushing pitch. Let me put it this way: It's loud enough that the noise level has kept my wife and I from running the bubbles too early in the AM or late in the PM out of concern for noise complaints from the neighbors. This is something to note if you want to socialize in your tub as well --you'll be shouting over the machine. Take this for what it is.4.) FINAL THOUGHTSSo did it make us want to be a hot tub owners? Short answer, YES! Our experiment of owning the Saluspa to determine if we would be enjoy being hot tub owners, and not be irritated with the maintenance and cost, panned out for us. The tub is fun, the build quality seems high, the setup is extremely simple, and my only complaints are captured above (maintenance, noise, heat retention). I believe two of these three, noise and heat retention, are more specific to Saluspa vs. a real hot tub. However, the trade off for these inconveniences is the cheap cost to entry. We got a freakin' hot tub for under $1000 dollars! If you made it this far, I hope you found it helpful. I found there to be too little of practical information like this when I was doing my research. Cheers!
So, I should have purchased the Coleman SaluSpa a year ago when it was about half the price. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has created a huge demand for inflatable recreational goods, so pricing has gone through the roof. Anyhow, even at $800 I feel this was worth it. This thing feels legit. Extremely sturdy and well built. I had it setup in about 30 minutes and another 30-45 minutes to fill it full of water. Warming it up to 104 degrees from cold hose water will take a good 24 hours. I’ve read that once you’ve reached a hot temp, you should keep it dialed in around 100 degrees while it sits idle. The instructions for this thing are very poorly written and make little sense. There’s also zero info on how to add chemicals to it. After extensive online research, I decided to go with 1” inch Bromine tablets from Home Depot. I’ve inserted two of them into the ChemConnect located on the sidewall. The strips have initially showed the Bromine level to be low, but I’m hoping with time, it will reach the desired 2-4 PPM level. Lastly, this tub DOES NOT come with a ground mat, despite some pictures and reviews saying that it does. The seller was kind enough to offer me a small discount for the lack of information on this. You really do want to protect the bottom of this though. I purchased a 6’ x 8’ roll of fake grass / astroturf at Home Depot and it fits perfectly under my Coleman SaluSpa. Also, it should be noted that this Coleman SaluSpa Hawaii is actually manufactured by Bestway. There’s also appears to be an identical model called the Bestway SaluSpa Hawaii. So, unless you must have the Coleman branding, be sure to check pricing on both—-they seem to fluctuate up and down every couple of days. Happy Tubbin’!
This product has been everything we expected and more. I bought this last October as an anniversary gift for my wife. At the time it was $519.99 so the price increase is insane to me but I think it would still be worth it to someone interested as long as they're willing to maintain it properly. Setup was super easy, maintenance has been a learning experience. The heater/filter is a key component. You absolutely MUST keep your filters clean and the water treated if you want this to last. I did a lot of research to realize this going in to purchasing it which helped a ton. Along the way I have figured out a great way to reduce cost and waste is to simply pull the filters and spray them out either with the water hose or the kitchen spray nozzle. The type VI filter which are the proper fit ones, aren't easy to find and can be expensive if you replace all the time vs cleaning them because they MUST be inspected and cleaned or changed a minimum of once per week whether you're using it or not. We have used it once per week almost religiously even through the winter months here in Ohio. The one thing I don't like that is likely a design flaw is that when it rains we usually get some water that gets thru the cover and I have to bail it out within 24 hours to keep the water level under the max line which is also needed to maintain the system properly. Overall one of the best purchases we've ever made. We get to relax and spend some quality time with one another without all the drama and stress of the world for a little bit every week and it's hard to put a price on that keeping in mind that the weekly maintenance needs of this unit is no different than it would be for a much more expensive permanent type model.
I’ve had my Saluspa for almost a year now. I was skeptical that it would be as sturdy as it seemed, but it has been absolutely great! Friends had also expressed skepticism but once they’ve seen it, they are just as impressed. I live in Wisconsin but kept mine up year-round because I have it in a detached garage. I’ve learned a few things along the way I’ll share here:-the square shape (as opposed to the circular one that’s also available) maximizes stretch out space. I’m 5’10” and can fully stretch out with someone sitting next to me doing the same and I don’t feel crowded at all.-fitting four people in this at once would be challenging unless everyone is petite, sitting with their legs crossed, or with someone sitting on the ledge with just feet in the water. It works best with two adults.-you want to have the full range of spa chemicals on hand and water testing strips before setting this up. Depending on the water where you live, it can take several days to get the water chemistry balanced. I’ve been using Clorox spa chemicals (bromine instead of chlorine) and very happy with the results.-the chlorine floater that comes with it is useless. Buy one for less than $10 elsewhere on DiscoverMyStore.-depending on your water quality and how often you use it, the filters get gunked up quickly. Consider showering before getting in—you’d be surprised how much of a difference it makes. Deodorant, hair products, sunscreen—all of those things wash off in the water. Think about if you took a bath regularly and never changed the water! It will get gross and you’ll have to change the water more frequently if you don’t rinse off.-The filter system/heater automatically shuts off after 72 hours. There is no other way to keep it running unless you manually turn it on again. This is an issue only if you’re going to be gone for an extended period of time or want to have the tub at a high temperature on demand. You basically need to run it constantly if you want to keep it above 100°, unless maybe you are in a very hot climate and have direct sun on it during the day.-The hottest temperature it can get is 104°. When you run the bubbles feature, the temperature drops more quickly than when you don’t run it. The bubbles will automatically shut off after 30 minutes. They are also much stronger than I expected!-other items to get that I have found super helpful include a small net to skim the water for inevitable debris, a cupholder, and underwater lighting. All of these are things you can find on DiscoverMyStore.-make sure you have a long enough hose to reach the spa. I also bought a submersible/portable sump pump to remove water from it when it’s time to change it. Depending on how often you use it, you will need to change the water every 3 to 6 months. There’s only so many times you can use water clarifier chemicals to make the water look good again.-unfortunately I am seeing ridiculous pricing on these items right now due to the pandemic (spring 2020). I suppose it is a market demand kind of thing, but if you don’t absolutely need one, you might want to hold off until prices drop below $500.
Researched all the soft-side hot tubs and even though it was a little more money, we decided on this one as it had generally good reviews and the square design exactly fit in our limited space patio. From day one, there was a weird pocket of air in one corner of the floor, and over several weeks, it grew several inches in height and covered about half the floor. Contacted seller, VM Express - very friendly and helpful. They directed me to warranty info at Bestway, the company who processes warranties for Coleman hot tubs. At first, it seemed that the warranty replacement with Bestway was going to be easy and quick - filled out form online, submitted photos and purchase receipt, then they shipped a new tub liner and we received it inside of a week. Of course, we lost an entire day of labor draining one and filling the new, then waited a couple more days for it to come up to temp, but then were flabbergasted when we discovered that it had the EXACT SAME FLAW, only BIGGER than the last one!! (Incidentally, it also was from the same manufacture batch and date.)So, round two for another warranty replacement. Grrr....This time, Bestway was not as easy to work with. Maybe they thought we were trying to pull something. This time, they required us to not only send photos of the new liner’s flaw, which were even more obvious than the last one because the air pocket in the floor was twice as big, but they also required us to destroy the liner by cutting out the lot number stamp from the tub, rendering it useless even as a watering trough or kids splash pool - instead destined it straight for the landfill (so not cool). As well, it cost us more money to heat the water up, as this time we couldn’t re-purpose the water in the same day and keep from losing all that preheated water. So…We finally have the second warranty replacement, bear in mind this is the THIRD liner. This replacement doesn’t match the previous color and they would not send a lid that matched so now we have a miss matched set and not the color we originally paid for. We’re trying to make it work but are seriously disenchanted. Now for the clincher…We finally have the second warranty replacement, bear in mind this is the THIRD liner. This replacement doesn’t match the previous color and they would not send a lid that matched so now we have a miss matched set and not the color we originally paid for. We’re trying to make it work but are seriously disenchanted. Now for the clincher…This third liner, new color, new lot number and manufacture date has THE EXACT SAME FLAW, DEAR GOD THIS IS FREAKING UNBELIEVABLE. Thankfully, it’s smaller than the first one and definitely smaller than the second one, so we are going to live with it for a little while. Besides that, best way has ruined our chance for a money back guarantee from the vendor, as their product shipments and warranty process have pushed as well past the 60 day moneyback limit. We have wasted countless hours and unnecessary expense trying to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Three liners and none of them perfect. But we love being outside in it and so have decided to keep it for as long as it will last and start saving for a REAL hot tub. Hope this helps someone trying to make a decision. Our advice? Save your money until you can afford a real one.
