I would not recommend this product. While the lift top does fairly well coming up, it's a struggle putting it down. You have to stand up and force it closed. The table itself doesn't bear enough weight to stay on the ground (when dealing with lift top), so plan to put something heavier inside to secure it. It also had a knick in it, so we touched it up with a wood marker. It looks cute when closed, and the size works well for our space. We just expected more from its function. Bummed.
