This cot works well for me, a big side-sleeeper.

I'm a large guy, 6 foot 140 lbs. Side sleeper. I had my doubts but decided to try a "cot" inside my truck tent instead of an inflatable mattress. It worked better than I had expected. I've slept several nights on the cot, with a standard sleeping bag, and a decent camping pillow and I had a good night's sleep each time. Between the spring loaded bottom layer, and the 1.5 inch thick "mattress", it really did a decent job of supporting me and being comfortable overnight. Even though I'm a larger guy. Rolling over a couple times a night is a bit more work than in a full bed, but it's doable. Getting in and out of it it is easy and it doesn't ever feel "tippy". I don't think the cheaper cots would work for me, but this one worked fine and I was well rested. The only downside is that it only folds in half and is pretty large to pack when camping. I offset this downside with the fact that it is very fast to set up and take down.

Comfortable cot that’s a game changer for camping!

I bought this before an 8 day camping trip. I was tired of sleeping on flimsy pads and noisy air mattresses. My boyfriend and I each bought one and slept great on our trip. We added another layer of padding to ours because I don’t think they’d be comfortable enough for that long with just the one that comes with it. I added a memory foam topper to mine and it was the best sleep I’ve ever gotten camping! Plus we maximized our tent storage with space underneath and didn’t have to worry about our beds getting wet if it rained. Although it was pretty bulky to travel with, I think the deluxe is worth it for the extra width.

I received the Coleman Comfortsmart Deluxe cot for free in exchange for my honest review. The cot is very easy to set up, and the storage keeps the soft pad clean even without a cover. During setup, the base looks almost like a less springy version of a trampoline. The pad is about an inch thick and adds a good level of comfort to the cot. I would recommend using a sleeping bag or sheet on the pad as it irritated my skin a bit on its own. The product info sets a height limit of 6 foot 6, but I could see it being a bit too short for anyone over 6 feet tall; however, that isn’t a problem in our home. While it’s a bit too cold for camping right now, we did test it out indoors when we had a sick toddler. It allowed for a good night of rest without the back aches that come from sleeping on the floor. Once it warms up, I think it will also make outdoor camping much more doable for me with my back issues! Overall, I’m glad we had the opportunity to try this!

The Coleman Deluxe Cot is excellent for camping or guests at a great price. It folds out with generous leg room and a soft mattress pad. We gained a second bed! When your camping trip or sleepover is finished easily folds in half and Velcros together with a strap at the head and foot of the bed. The mattress pad part is stored inside the folded sandwich of the bed. Lightweight, yet sturdy enough to hold an adult male. Easy to store and low profile for our apartment in a coat closet. VERY please and impressed with the product!

The cot itself is excellent! It’s very sturdy and well-made Loved that I could take straight from the box and no assembly required.My son is sleeping on this cot every night from last 2 weeks and he set up this cot every night & folded it up during the daytime without a bit of trouble. This Coleman ComfortSmart Camping Cot with Sleeping Pad is game changing! My fiancé and I love to go camping, but we usually bring an air mattress which can be a hassle to blow up. Now that we got to try out this cot, we will be getting one more so that we can both comfortably camp without the hassle! Easily fit my 6’2” fiancé which has been an issue in the past! While it’s way too cold to camp right now in the Midwest, we still wanted to try this out. We set it up in our room for a few days to try. It is SO comfy. We love how soft it is and how supportive it feels to lay on. Can definitely be slept on comfortably for a whole weekend of camping, or even if we had a visitor spend the night that needed somewhere to sleep. My only issue is when it’s folded up, it feels so big! Really hard finding a place to store it because it’s huge

When this arrived I was actually surprised by its size. Usually if something says it’ll fit someone 6’ it’s not really true. This cot is not messing around. I could easily sleep stretched out and fit so nicely. The little pad is an extra level of comfy. It’s also super easy to lock into place. My niece tried it and slept extremely comfortably on it. 10/10 recommend and cannot wait to let our son use this for camping. Hoping he will sleep extra soundly on it!

I received the Coleman comfortsmart cot from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I have to say this cot is perfect. Came in a box, opened it and it’s ready to go, no assembly needed which is great. Once out of the box I just had to open the cot up which is extremely easy. I slept on it for a night in my house because it’s not camping season where I am yet and it was very comfortable and I slept great. This is an upgrade from the air mattress I normally use for camping. It would even be great if you had a guest coming to stay at your house and no extra bed for them to sleep in. Can’t wait for camping season to get here to use it often!

This cot was easy to open up and put the mat on from the start. When i lay down the mat is pretty comfy not to think. The mats material is nosy if you move in the night. The length and size of the cot overrall is perfect for me as I am 5'10" I still had a little room on the bottom. I do find it to be a hassel to carry though because of no carrying case or straps to help. The structure of the cot is pretty good, my son and I both laid on it and it didnt seem to go down or cause stress. I think this is a great cot to have for camping as it collapse and doesnt take up that much space.

We often share a beach house where the kids over run the house, this will be perfect for adding an extra place to stay on vacation! This cot is SO long, really anyone of any height would fit more than comfortably on it. Very comfortable, easy to store as it folds up, and the mat that comes on it is great too. So excited to use this! Would be great for camping but could be a little heavy to carry anywhere far.

As soon as I opened the box, I was surprised to see how easy this cot was to put together. Then my teenager and dog couldn’t let me have a moment on it without jumping on with me. So it definitely can handle weight 280 without dipping and still be comfortable. Its the size of a skinny twin bed and with the trampoline like bottom and thin mattress its almost as comfy as a real bed. I presume it would work best on flat land since it doesn’t have adjustable legs.

Fiberglass particles. springs pop out. foam dented

Yuck! fiberglass particles all over the mattress.the springs popped out and not in the holes. the spring ends are not not bent over so im concerned might stick if you dont watch. the foam is thin and at the folds the foam is dented and creased.,i asked for a replacement and the second one is even worse.nice size but the quality is junko productions.. could also be about 2 or inches taller. hard on the knees getting up.

I purchased the Coleman comfortsmart deluxe cot a few years back as an alternative to my stubborn father (in his 80’s) wanting to sleep on the floor of his home while the rest of his belongings where packed up for his move to Florida. He is 6’4 and slept on it comfortably. I have used it myself when we have been in tents camping and it is 100% better then sleeping on the ground. I have a 5 bedroom home and still find myself short of beds for guests. I’ll pull out the foldable cot when it is needed and it works well. I allow my granddaughter to bring friends camping with us in our travel trailer which has room for four to sleep. It is a lot easier to pull out the cot then to change the dinette area into a sleeping area for additional friends. The Coleman comfortsmart deluxe cot has been a purchase I don’t regret. The padding on top is easy to wash and I air dry it. I recommend this for camping in the outdoors and as an alternative bed for guests.

Big, Sturdy, Well Made, No bars!

So, this Deluxe 80x30 Coleman camp cot was just delivered today. Wow, it is big enough to easily qualify to be a "twin bed"! I was concerned that ordinary twin sheets would not fit due it being 80inches long. BUT, the reg. twin fitted sheet fits easily. I pulled it down over the mattress and frame and it was still plenty loose, but not sagging. The twin flat sheet is too wide, it lays on the floor on both sides, so I folded it in half crossways and turned it long ways on the cot. Perfect fit! I purchased the twin sheet set from Walmart. They are microfiber soft and wash up nicely. As of now, they come in only 2 colors: light blue or cream color., and cost about $6.95. The cot is sturdy, has NO annoying bars across the sleep platform underneath. The platform is secured to the frame by springs all the way around. Of course it is pretty firm, even with pad, but it gives when you move. I am a short person and it has more than enough width and length. I might put a folded blanket over the mattress and then put the fitted sheet on. That worked on a firm bed mattress I once had. This may not even be a concern for someone else, but I have a back/neck issue. This cot is easily as long as my futon and about the same height from the floor. I would not be embarrassed to have a guest sleep on this if another guest is on the futon. I will see if this cot will fit easily in my car, that's non negotiable. Here's a suggestion for Coleman: Please make an optional vinyl or heavy duty cover for this to keep it clean and dry in house or on the road. And I think a replacement platform/springs would be a definite seller with this cot. The frame seems very study and it would be wasteful to have to throw it out if the platform ever needs replaced. Thanks Coleman and Walmart for a great cot. In my opinion, Coleman is a top supplier/mfg of quality products.

Solidly built, sturdy add good value

Purchased 2 of these on sale. Initial thoughts are these are heavier than expected yet manageable. Steel frame is solid. Springs are secured so there are no sharp edges to catch on. The foam pads these come are serviceable and can easily be replaced if you need more support. Overall these are a great addition to our camping gear. Definitely improved our sleeping. Highly recommend.

Great cot!

Very sturdy cot and surprisingly comfortable. I have an old back injury (herniation) and struggle with air mattresses b/c they tend to move and destabilize my spine. This is firm enough to stabilize but has some give b/c of the springs. We had a similar style growing up in the 70s with springs all the way across the frame. This one has springs on the perimeter with a twill "hammock" bed surface. I would agree with other reviewers that it's comfortable enough with the foam mattress that it's perfectly suitable to use as an extra bed at home. As to the cover tears that some reviewers have addressed...apparently there are compatible mattresses from other outdoor suppliers that would work. You could also repair it yourself if you're handy with a sewing machine or you could even take it to a local alterations shop and they could patch it.

SOOO COMFY

I slept on this for a whole day and it was sooo comfy. Even more comfy than my own mattress! perhaps its not for everyday but for the days you need to use it or have a guest over, this is perfect if you dont want to spend a ton of money. Im 5'6" tall so it was perfect for me. I spent days looking for a camping cot reading reviews with most of them saying the one they bought hurt their back (i also have back problems) but i decided on this because of the good reviews. It's worth every penny. No more air mattress that leaks air for me!!!! Easy to set up and carry around, not very heavy.
