Waste of money
Just bought two new packages and they do not adhere to the wall. After following the directions of pressing for 30 seconds and waiting 1 hour and hanging a very lightweight felt garland, these are all falling off the walls. When you touch the back to check the adhesive it is barely tacky. We have used these for years previously but they must have changed something, because they no longer function as intended.
Super Impressed
The wire command hooks are perfect for hanging up small wreaths (and anything else!). They hold so incredibly well. I've had them up in the same spot for 3 years now. I'm super impressed every year when it's time to put my wreaths up and the hooks are still there. I ordered more to have on hand and have yet to need them. 10/10
They don't stick
They must have changed something with these. These are terrible, they don’t stick and once you think you got them to stick they fall off instantly you hang anything on it. Don’t recommend these ones at all.
Works Great! Follow Package Instructions!
I needed something that was not permanent to hang Halloween decorations for a party. I was VERY hesitant to buy these because of all the reviews about them pulling off paint and even drywall. I didn't have any other options, so I decided to give them a try. I figured I'd just repaint those spots if any paint came off. Please follow the instructions on how to remove...it makes all the difference. The first hook I pulled the strip towards me and remembered half way through that's exactly what the instructions said not to do, and the tab popped off. D'OH! I had to slide a knife under it to lift most of it off and it took some paint with it. If I would’ve just snatched it away drywall would’ve for sure came off with it. The rest I pulled straight down, or in my case since they were on the ceiling, along the ceiling and they popped right off. Not a speck of paint chipped. The objects I hung had some weight to them too (full skeletons, zombie heads, cages, etc.). The hooks are very sturdy. These will now be my go to for any seasonal decorations. I have a picture of one spot after I took a skeleton down, and one of my mishap.
Not the same
New clear ones don't work the same. I have been using these command products over my house for allot and have never had a problem. But I noticed when I went to move the clear ones they didn't come off as easy. In fact allot of them barely came off and several took paint off. Will never buty these again after the damage they did
Versatile Solution for Maximizing Vertical Space
I am using these to hang items from the kitchen cabinets and free some precious counter space. I have three hanging upside down and horizontally (i.e., with the wire bit dangling); each is holding its own scrub brush aloft for drying. That is working fine. More conventional uses, with careful adherence to the surface preparation instructions, should be no problem.
Not worth it
Don’t waste your time with these. I followed instructions, exactly, and even waited after I put that he said on the wall, 12 hours overnight before I even hung anything, and within 20 minutes the picture and the command piece fell off the wall. I had a very light piece hanging, so it wasn’t because of the weight that made it fall. It’s not strong enough adhesive in my opinion.
Do NOT buy!
Do NOT buy unless you want your walls left with chipped paint and sticky residue! Bought these because I've seen them being raved about online, but I should've looked at reviews first. I cleaned my wall as instructed, put up the hooks and waited a full 24 hours before hanging anything on it. Not even 5 minutes after I hung an empty clipboard, it fell off the wall and pulled paint off with it. Put it up again with a new sticky, and the same thing happened. I always use the Command brand as I hate holes in the wall, especially in my new house, but I hate trying to match the paint on the wall more. Do not waste your money!
I Wish They Would Stay Up
I have the organizing bug this week, so I decided to buy more Command hooks to hang up necklaces near my dresser. I currently use 3 medium white hooks to hang scarves and small bags on the same wall. They work really well. I chose the value size clear utensil hooks because I really liked their appearance. Sadly, after very closely following all instructions in preparing surface, applying strips and hooks and waiting more than the 1 hour before hanging the necklaces, several of the hooks fell off the wall before I even hung anything on them. I carefully cleaned a second time with alcohol, and used up the extra strips that came with my hooks to re-apply three hooks. I also used an additional 30 seconds firmly pressing each of the 9 hooks to the wall. Then I waited overnight before hanging my necklaces. Today 2 hooks are down. It can't be the weight, since none of my necklaces are more than a few ounces. I am disappointed that I wasted my time and money with these hooks.
