Reviews
The box is functional and keeps items inside dry during rain storms. The color is not the same as the product advertised- it is brown, not beige. Also, the measurements are for the pieces you snap together and not the base, so the item itself is wider than the dimensions listed, so it does not fit in the original space it was purchased for.
Love it
Very strong. I put my extra propane tank inside. Fits perfectly. It is great for my small patio and I also use it as an extra seat.
Perfect for my need
Used as a small trash receptacle several places on the farm. Keeps out vermin and insects. High wind hasn’t been an issue.
Good and Bad
It keeps water out _really_ well, but the latch/tab/lock on the top seats so well that half the time I have to take the box apart to get the lid open, which is not super efficient and is extremely frustrating. There’s just nothing locking the side pieces into the bottom so if you pull it’s coming up.
A RARE poor product from Rubbermaid
This product is not good. The lid locks so tightly that it's nearly impossible to unlock and every you open the lid the sides become unhinged and unit simply falls apart. Did this several times just to see if it was an anomaly and it wasn't as it fell apart every time. Not a good product in my view and if you're looking - like I was - for something inexpensive to store grill tools and other items in out on your deck spend a little more money and get something better.

I don't have a shed at my house so I bought this to store a large gas can in - that I use to mow the lawn. I do not want to keep a can of gas in my garage so I keep this unit in the shade. So far it has worked well for me. I do agree that this unit can fall apart easily if you are very rough in opening/closing the unit.

There is nothing on the description that says it needs sand poured into a hole on the bottom piece to keep it together. No directions included either. Online if you go to Rubbermaid, there’s a hand drawn

It looks nice and it does the job, finally. It's supposed to snap together but it has fallen apart several times despite hearing the positive snapping noises during assembly. The lid is the only thing which snaps tightly - you really have to work to open it - and when you do it falls apart. Instructions are meaningless.

It'll do for my purposes, but it's definitely cheaply made. There's a hole in the base that you're supposed to fill with sand to weight the bottom, but the plug that comes with it doesn't fit into the hole. I eventually gave up after 20 minutes of trying. Other than that, it assembles easily, everything just pops into place, but I question how weatherproof it will actually be.
Falls apart
I'm going to have to take another look at it because maybe I don't have it all snapped in tightly. The sides just "sit" on the bottom, nothing to hold them on the bottom so when you close the upper lid, which closes so tight that it takes some UMPH to pull it open, when you finally PULL it open the sides come lose and everything pulls up off the floor and falls apart. Again, this may be user error so I'll look at it again when I can.
Poorly Made
This was supposed to assemble without any fasteners, etc. It didn't. Also, the bottom has what I assume to be a drainage hole - the plastic from the hole being cut was rolling around inside the bottom piece, and the cap that was supposed to plug the hole didn't fit. The sides didn't fit into the bottom piece or connect with each other the way the directions (simple illustrations only) indicated. It was a big disappointment.

The size is perfect for my balcony. the structure is horrible.. super flimsy. You need to hold the sides in order to open it otherwise it will fall apart.. nothing secures the side panels to the bottom. I’m storing the soil for my plants in there. Getting rid of it as soon as I find a better one

I ordered two. One is perfect- exactly what I needed. The other wouldn’t click properly and falls apart at the slightest bump when the lid is open. It is annoying but works okay because one is just for garden tools. Recommendation: right after purchasing, put it together. If it doesn’t click together easily, return it. Do not assume you’re doing it wrong and set it outside to ask your husband later. You will forget, it will get dirty, and you won’t be able to return it. ;)

Works great as a delivery package bin
I bought this to use as a delivery package bin for my front stoop. I live in a very windy area and my stoop is very open so filling the base with sand was necessary and also very tedious through the small hole provided. The bin has not budged and the weather has not affected it. The only thing I don't like is that the lid is very difficult to open when it is shut completely. I don't want my delivery drivers to be detered from using the bin because it doesn't open easily, so I don't shut it completely. Even with the lid not sealed, I have not had any water get into the bin. It is also VERY roomy. My mail carrier put a very large box inside the bin because it was raining out. I was shocked that it fit because I had only intended it for small packages that may blow away. Very happy I got this.
people be crazy
I have zero clue why there are so many bad reviews. This thing is an engineering marvel. It snaps together in seconds and then holds together firmly. The lid locks into place when closed and is held on so tightly it almost takes two hands to open. I left it out in the rain last night and the contents are completely dry. It’s just the right size ans color to blend in on the deck. Those who say it falls apart must not be using enough force for the pieces to click into place. But the force it requires is not significant. My seven year old could get it. Disregard the simpletons and buy the box
Meh
Meh. It's just blow molded plastic that snaps together. Feels cheap. The instructions recommend putting sand in the bottom piece to give it some weight. I got some sand from the Wally World garden section that had gotten damp and was a pain to get into the bottom. Dry sand is key. Felt like the pieces would be prone to unsnap so I used Liquid Nails on all the joints and feel that it really stiffened it up. It's been raining cats and dogs but it appears that everything inside is dry. Still raining so I didn't pull everything out, just opened the lid. Holds a whole bag of charcoal, two small bags of wood chips, and my large grill cover. Probably designed to hold two bags of charcoal.

I purchased this box for small parcel deliveries to my gated property. I have mixed feeling about this box. It was very easy to assemble in just a few minutes without tools. Seems sturdy. Looks nice. Was available for a good price from HD. It is NOT water-tight. After assembly I could see light coming in from the bottom corners. The lid closed so tight that you couldn't open it. I had to sand the latch a bit to make it easier to open. The water thing worries me since this will be outside 24/7. I simulated a rain storm with a hose and did not find any water inside. So it may be OK as long as it's not in heavy rain for prolonged periods or it sits in a puddle. I'm hoping bugs don't find there way in, but if they do I may have to put some silicone in the bottom corners.

Perfect size, easy to put together...EXCEPT for the lid. After battling with it and using considerable force, the lid is attached, but not well. The plastic that is supposed to snap into place didn't. It bent, instead. One of the sides should be left off until the end, to slip the lid in place.

Well built product. Very easy to install. Arrived on time. My only complaint is the lack of color choice. I needed a white colored deck storage and brown was the only color offered. I had to spray-paint the deck box received with white paint. This was tedious and costly.
