Good quality and pleasing finish. It helped to have a powered screw driver. Relatively expensive but you get what you paid for.

These bookcases look very nice in my library. However, they were very difficult to assemble as there were totallly inadequate directions, and each bookcase had dozens of screws and screw holes to line up - too many of which did NOT line up. . I had to undo each bookcase and redo all assembly with an actual t-square to make sure that the cases themselves were actually square enough to sit level. They were reasonably priced, since they are not solid wood.

Beautiful bookcase, directions aren’t the best

This bookcase is beautiful and made of real wood. The instructions on putting it together were very clear, however the pieces of the wood were not marked. Therefore building this wasn’t the easiest as I had to guess which piece went where. Also you can’t make the shelves the same size on both sides. You will have to make it higher or lower because the pegs won’t fit in the holes. They have to stagger.

Lots of scratches

Hard to put together. Had many scratches and nicks in wood in visible areas. However size and shelving was perfect. I’m going to try rubbing spots with a walnut. I realize it is not solid wood but don’t understand the numerous flaws for the $400 price. This is the second time I have reviewed this item. Be prepared for daily sale emails and no way to unsubscribe

Midas eight shelf double bookcase - 48" Cherry finish

Easy to assemble. It took me a couple of hours. No missing parts. Finish on wood was perfect. It matched a previously ordered set of shelves in style and color. I like production consistency.

Terrible

I was so excited to receive this bookcase. When it arrived, I was so disappointed. The instructions are not correct. Though they say that each part is labeled (A, B, C, etc.), nothing was, making construction frustrating and way more time consuming than it should have been. It has not been sanded and my husband got several splinters while putting it together. The backing is held together with shipping tape (yes, the instructions actually say this correct) and had a big scratch down it. Will not order anything from this brand again.

Disappointing!!!

I was so excited when I saw this online as it was exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I received it I couldn't wait to assemble it. Needless to say I didn't get very far. It had several nicks and scratches and the pre-drilled holes were incorrect on the partition. I'm so frustrated! Of course I didn't receive it from FedEx until after 5pm on Friday so I have to wait until Monday to call the store. I will be returning this and purchasing a unit elsewhere! Very disappointed!!!

Bookcase Midas eight

Easy to put together with one person but if not strong recommend two. It took me about an hour and easy to read instructions great materials . The backing is quarter inch plywood not that cheap paper backing and installs with screws not little nails i was impress . The selves are thick and sturdy and color is exactly what I expected .
