I purchased the full desk that goes with the filing cabinet. It is a nice quality and a nice addition to the desk, it serves the purpose in which it was intended, adding to the overall look of my office I would definitely purchase again.

Easy to assemble

There were only picture instructions, but due to the ease of assembly and clarity of pictures, there were no issues. The caster at the front of the file drawer is a nice touch as it supports what could be a front heavy drawer that could cause the cabinet to tip forward without it. It is a great value for the money.

I read almost every review and looked at almost every file cabinet on Target.com. I’m so glad I went with this one! It’s a really good quality — I was surprised by how durable it is! My printer fits perfectly on top. It rolls easily. For the price and quality, I highly recommend!

Warning - not for newbie at furniture assemly!!!

Warning!!! This is not for the newbie at putting furniture together. This comes on about 40 pieces - and it took me almost 4 hours to put together. He instructions have no words - only pictures. The good news is, once put together it is very sturdy and well made - but give yourself plenty of time and lots of room to spread all the pieces out.

Damaged product shipped to me

Cabinet is nice - putting it together is rough - that isn’t my issue “ my product was damaged before I received it there’s cracks all in the panels I am not happy

While you can tell that it is a manufactured wood product it has held up well and looks good in a mid-century modern office. It met the need that I was trying to fill

Tedious Build, but Great Finished Product

This is a great, affordable cabinet for my purpose—so 5 stars there. But 3 stars for assembly. My husband is handy (I am not) and he found it to be very tedious. Total time spent 40 minutes, with the use of a drill. If you’re handy and have an extra 40 minutes, this will suit your needs.

Not the same color as other Monarch items

I bought this because I wanted a file cabinet made from the same company, Monarch, as the ladder bookcase I was buying. I am very disappointed that even though the name of the color of this item is called the same color as the bookcase (Dark Toupe) it doesn't match!!! How can two items made by the same place called the same color be off???? It was already put together before noticing so I didn't return it.

Easy construction (with good instructions), Nice appearance, meets my needs, but cost could be less...

Its solid and sturdy

It has drawers and keeps things off the top of my desk. However, online the height does not include the casters, so I had to buy risers for my desk in order for the cabinet to fit under it. And if you thought IKEA assembly instructions were hard to follow, you're f'ed with these. They are minimal at best. Be creative.
