It is exactly the size I needed for a reading nook - small, understated yet classic. The marble is heavy, I do not fear that it will get knocked over. I like the lip around the marble so that drinks would not be easy to knock off. It was very easy to assemble.

I believe it is real marble and the stand is solid with no screws. It was actually a little too high for me and I ended up returning. However, it is a beautiful table and heavy. The finish was high end.
