Disappointing Purchase

Very disappointing purchase. I was excited for this bed frame, as my sister has it in grey and it is beautiful. When I went to place my order, the sales associate mentioned it was the exact same as the grey (suede) but beige. To our surprise, it was not suede nor beige but more of a tweed texture, and tan/brown with a diamond design. The photos online are very deceiving. I highly recommend viewing the items in store before purchasing as the images and sales associates are not always correct.

wet box- missing hole for screw. ughhhhhhh

delivery left box outside and it rained on box. the bed was missing a hole for a screw so i went to start a return and it said to return in original packaging and the only way to do that is to wrap it in a soaking wet box. Target- please help with this situation

Good quality for the price

Really nice bed for a teenager. The headboard is very thick and of good quality for the price. I wish there were more slats but the 3 work good. You do need a box spring and mattress for this bed. My son loves it.

Horrific smell to the frame/upholstery

While it's a nice looking bed frame, the smell that comes from the wood/upholstery is almost unbearable. We have had our frame for almost a year and the smell is incredibly strong. When we reached out the guest services they advised we get our upholstery cleaned by a 3rd party company at our expense..

Missing a button!

I’m so frustrated!! After Taking this bed out of the box I realized it’s missing a button at the top! It’s so noticeable and looks so bad. Now I have to wait weeks longer just for a replacement. Ugh. It’s a nice looking bed otherwise. Not sure what’s going on with Ashley furniture because everything I’ve purchased from them lately is damaged in some way. Hope the new one doesn’t have any imperfections.

Great Find

I needed a new bed in time for our new, adjustable base and mattress. This fit the bill perfectly! It was delivered promptly and was a very affordabke price. The headboard is taller than I prefer but still fit in my space. The footboard is the opposite. It is very low profile. Be sure to check dimensions before ordering. All in all, I am pleased with this bed.

A Huge Elegant Beauty

It’s exactly as described and showed in the picture, It was quite a job to build ( the pieces are in the back of the head board) just a reminder because I was confused at first. I got the queens size frame, it’s huge but omg it’s beautiful and elegant. I would recommend this frame to anyone looking for a huge bed frame or an elegance touch to the room , it’s gorgeous and sturdy. I’ve only had it for a couple of days now so any problems in the future I’ll give an update review, but for right now I’m loving it, just a reminder it’s huge it meant for a big space. Ty I’m very satisfied.

Watch that middle leg.

Great product overall. Easy to put together, I did it by myself and it took about an hour. Had the bed for a month now and it has been very sturdy and no squeaking so far. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because of the little middle leg at the bottom of the bed. My wife and I both had kicked it several times, because you can't really see it and it hurts like heck. So we cut a pool noodle to cover it for visibility and cushioning.

NOT a Platform bed

I had limited funds to help my mentally handicapped son so when I saw this PLATFORM bed advertised on Zulily, I thought it was a good buy since you only have to have a mattress (no box spring needed with platform beds). I even called Zulily before I ordered it to make sure it would not require anything additional and that a mattress would be supported on this platform bed without a box spring. I was assured that it was advertised as a platform bed, it would be a platform bed and all I would need would be the mattress. When it arrived it is not under any circumstances a platform bed. It is a regular bed frame that requires a box spring. So this bed turned out to be more expensive because we had to go out and buy a boxsprings for the mattress to be supported on this falsely advertised platform bed.

Ashley Dolante gray Upholstered Queen bed

This bed is a statement piece! I love that the headboard is really tall. Very heavy box (approx. 100lbs) Decent instructions for assembly. Requested 2 or more ppl to assemble but I was able to do it by myself, however it wasn’t easy. So be sure to get help. I added crystals to add so bling. I’m waiting for my new adjustable bed and new mattress to come in. I love it!!!

Great design & high end look!

Great design & good quality, especially for the price! Upholstery is well done & overall look is much more high end. Challenging to determine fabric in photos. Knew it was gray, but pleasantly surprised after unpacking to see it’s a woven, small (less than 1” repeat) geometric pattern! Subtle but striking & more interesting than a plain weave. See photo included for reference. Storing for now & have not fully assembled in place, but all looks good!

Nice frame, horrible quality wood boards with splits and uneven holes.

The bed frame itself is nice quality and looks great in our room. However, set up was a nightmare. We were sent split boards and none of the holes lined up at all. My husband ended up redrilling holes through the cheap wood boards they sent.

You get what you pay for

It looks and feels very cheap. The queen size frame is too big for a queen size mattress so you can see the support beams holding up the box spring. It also has a terrible odor that after several weeks still hasn't dissipated. Assembly wasn't difficult but it wasn't easy either. The screw sizes aren't labeled and the directions aren't very clear. I would not purchase again or recommend.

Nice bed at a great price

Was delivered very quickly and despite some gouges in the packaging everything inside was in perfect shape. Took a few hours but I was able to put it together myself. Everything is packed neatly inside the headboard. The directions could be better, and I strongly recommend taking a few minutes to sort through the hardware. They are NOT labeled. My only issue was one screw had some kind of glue over the top so I was unable to use the wrench. Had to screw it in my hand the best I could. Looks wonderful in my bedroom. I’m a whole lotta woman and it seems fairly sturdy when I sleep on it. Can’t beat the price!

Feel Fancy on a budget

i really love this bed, it makes me feel fancy on a budget.

Its a sad bed with no real bones.

The screws did not line up with the holes, it took me over 3 hours to put it together. It said it was a plat form bed, but it only had 3 puny narrow slats for the whole bed. I thought it was a joke this whole bed. I will not buy anything else from ashley at least not anything that requires assembly. Its really shoddy craftsmanship. Maybe you get what you paid for. But the bed is not inexpensive either.

It’s just ok. I’d keep looking

You get what you pay for-i was so excited about this bed and kept looking at it for months. Decided to go ahead and get it-even though was worried about quality for the price. The pictures I took should be proof of the poor material. I’ll use the bed for a year and then probably have to give it away to move to a permanent frame.

Dolante Upholstered bed

It's a beautiful bed, and goes together nicely. The only complaint I have is that the headboard does not adjust. So in order not to have a gap between your headboard and mattress top... your mattress choice and/or foundation must be exactly right. I have a 12" mattress, but I'm short and the high profile foundation was too high for me. So I bought slats thinking I would just adjust the headboard, but no such option unless you drill your own holes. The screws are a bit short for the headboard as well... they don't reach the metal grip to fully tighten. They need to be about a 1/4 inch longer. I have now purchased a low profile foundation, but not from Ashley, as theirs was more than my actual mattress. I'm a teacher, so saving money is important to me.

Looks great, smells horrible

I love the way this bed looks in our master bedroom. It is a great quality and my husband put it together with ease. As soon as he took everything out of the boxes, the horrible smell was really strong and even over a week later the smell is still present in our room. The first couple of days I had a headache because I'm sure there are some funky chemicals in there. That is the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. The actual bed is nice and hopefully the smell will go away eventually.
