This floor lamp has exceeded our expectations. It has brought more light to a dark room. I especially like the shorter focus arm that allows for more concentrated work or hobbies. It was shipped to home and arrived on time, in good condition, and was easy to do the minimal assembly!

Well-made, solid and heavy, and good machining.

Threaded together nicely, and the steel threads are much better machining work than the cheap plastic threads on cheaper models. You get what you pay for here, and I would recommend this lamp. Heavy stable base, and the vertical tubing is thick and wide enough, with good threads at base and joints, that it does not lean the way $40 models have for me.

It's nice looking. Seems a little unstable. I'm trying to make it more stable. Would not buy another one of these. Instead of glass, they used plastic. Materials are flimsy. It looks good. Not sure it's worth the money i paid for it. This was a disappointment as the other things i bought at American Furniture seemed solid and sturdy, well-made.

We bought this lamp because it has a single switch to control both lights instead of two switches, one of which is too high to reach sitting on couch. This lamp is a cheap piece of junk, the rotary switch barely works, the detents are a joke. The shades are cheap plastic. It doesn't stand up straight when properly assembled. Junk.

We have made several purchases at AFW since moving here 15 months ago and the great deals are backed up by great service after the sale. In the past, retailers like Living Spaces provided little to no service because we did not purchase an extended warranty on a simple table and chairs. At AFW, the after the sale service and delivery personnel have been the best, even when we discovered upon delivery that our mattress and box spring were too high. No problem getting the box springs changed out for a much lower solution. Keep up the good work!

It claims to be dimmable, but it does not have that function. Also, the switch is very difficult to turn.

Perfect for our place

Comparing quality and price points to the local and big box stores, this is what we went with and I’m very happy with it. I would give it a 8/10 for sturdiness but we don’t have children who might be running nearby, or large pets who might knock it over. Mine’s a little wobbly but I have hardwood and it could be uneven on my end.

Perfect lamp for my living room! I love that it gave it the brightness that it needed. I also love that there are 3 levels of brightness, use all 3 or just one or two!
