Perfect entryway table.

Looks great in my entryway. I needed a console that was taller since I have a twelve foot ceiling. Hung a mirror above it. Easy to assemble and arrived promptly. Would have given it five stars except a small piece of the veneer was chipped off. It was on the under side of the bottom shelf so no one would see it. Not worth the exchange hassle.

Almost as soon as I got this console table set up, [it was easy!] a friend visited and asked me where I got this beautiful (and functional!) new piece. I told her Overstock.com and showed her some of the other things I have purchased from O.com. I told her this is the latest of the "home runs" I have hit on decorating with O.com merchandise. This table is just beautiful and the perfect size for my space. There were plenty of styles to choose from for console tables, but I recommend measuring for the space you want to fill first. This will better guarantee a "just right fit" for your console table.

The box came in good condition, and glad same as the furniture. Easy to assemble. True to color online. I gave four because when i placed the plastic gliders at the bottom of the legs, it cracked a little bit on all four. I had to buy a scratch marker to hide it. Maybe you can go by without putting them on or maybe just replace those with a different kind of gliders. Otherwise it looked great on my entryway.

Frustrating assembly but looks good

The photo and measurements were accurate and it turned out ok, but the pressed board was flimsy and very easy to split, so we had to do some repairing. This would not have happened, my husband tells me, if the holes had been properly drilled with the right size bit. Also, the instructions don't show some of the details that would have prevented our having to take things apart to reassemble. I'm not particularly good at assembling furniture, but I've done so successfully many times, like most people have, and this looked easy. But after splitting my first piece of wood, I had my husband take over. He used to be a cabinet maker, so he was pretty disgusted with the lack of quality control. We did not expect "fine furniture" for the price of course, but we paid less for a bookshelf for the same room, and the quality was a far cry better in every aspect. We will avoid this brand in the future. Less

If you're looking for something to fill in a small space this is the perfect consul table for you. Very simple to put together, I did it alone less than 20 minutes and it's also sturdy. Nice, but poor quality control.

The old adage "you get what you pay for" is no better exemplified than in this console table. Its appearance matches the item description but on closer inspection the construction is rudimentary at best, and the welds clearly visible. My table was packaged securely, but one of the holes in the lower shelf apparently was damaged during manufacture and would not accept a bolt. Rather than return it, I contacted the manufacturer as the instructions suggested, but was told a replacement could be a week or more away. I had purchased the table for a Christmas display, but obviously it will have to wait. Very disappointing.

Beautiful Sturdy Table

I loved this table so much I bought a second one. Pretty easy assembly and beautiful color. Perfect for entry way or bedroom table. I use it to store my laptop and accessories in the bedrooms. Very sturdy. It's not cheaply made. Very happy with my purchase!

nice looking table but cheap

I was looking for a console table like this for the front entrance, and it seemed like a perfect fit, but after receiving, assembling, and looking at it for a few days, I found it to be of cheap quality, and returned it. From a distance its looks like, but its cheap pressed wood with a paper layer that scratches very easily, and the stickers to cover holes stand out alot, and peel off. Makes this nice looking piece look very cheap. Sorry, tried it, but cant recommend it.

quality product but difficult assembly

This is a quality product but was difficult to assemble. The directions were not clear and we had to remove the legs and reassemble them in order to put the lower shelf on. I was a little disappointed in the color (Espresso) because it was darker, almost black, and did not match the color of another table also purchased from overstock in Espresso. Almost returned it but was too much trouble to repack.

Nice table but difficult to assemble

I love this console table. The picture is very accurate and the measurements are correct. However, the assembly is difficult and in places faulty. Several times the directions call for a screw to be inserted when the hole is not wide enough, for instance. The instructions are really poor. I got the table assembled but it still wobbles badly. After folding up a post-it under one leg, the wobble is not noticeable. I like this table but had I paid more for it, I would have returned it.

piece of junk

Run for your life it only looks great in the website picture. Assembly wasnt to bad till the second to last step which is mounting the table top to the rest of the now assebled base. You have to match up 4- 1/4"x4" threaded through bolts, 5 - wooden dowels, and 4 metal anchor bolts all to pre drilled holes.I finally got them lined up and started. But the tolerance was so tighr the table would still not sit anywhere near flush down on the base. So I got my small rubber mallet and a folded up hand towel to try and tap the areas not flush down without leaving a marl in the table top. Imagine my surprise when the now padded rubber mallet penetrated the table top wood which is apparently hollow by simply taping down around the edges. My advice which I am now going to follow. Buy your furniture from a brick and mortar store thats already put together and you can inspect it for defects. Less

nice table but terrible to put together

I bought this table mainly for looks and price. it does look great but it was very difficult to put together. one of my legs split also as I was assembling the product. the directions are not very specific so if you miss a step: forget about it! the last step was to use screws to secure the table top to the base. the screws are too short, you screw and screw and they never make it through. but, what do you expect for the money. overall, as long as it stays together it is quite beautiful in my entryway

It showed the lower shelf as the same length as the top, when it is smaller and fits inside the legs instead of even with the outside. Put together it looks great and is sturdy. I chose this table for its looks and mostly based on its dimensions, but there were multiple issues. First, a leg split at the top just by its own weight when I had the table briefly on its side mounting the legs. Obviously it was 'bad' piece - I used wood glue and a clamp to repair it and let it sit overnight before completing the assembly. Since I was already using glue to fix the bad piece, I used some glue on other areas that I suspected would be weak base on that break. Then there are holes in the top braces of the frame to secure the top to it with screws. You set the top on the floor upside down and screw the frame to the top. But the holes on the end braces were not recessed like the holes on the front and back pieces (big hole for the screw head to recede and be out of view) so I had to drill the counter-sinks myself. And I added a reenforced cross member on the bottom side of the table top just in case the top was flawed. Assembly was also tricky.... no real steps in the instructions except to just follow diagrams. And lastly, the 'wood look' is not a veneer - it's contact paper! Basically the table pieces are wrapped in a big sticker. Console / sofa tables can be very expensive, so the low price for this nice design seem like a good deal because I've gotten some really nice tables in this price range. But this table was cheap in quality. If it wasn't going into a back bedroom where no one but me will see it, then I would have sent it back. Nice design, nice price, and hard to find dimensions. But if you buy it, don't be surprised if you have to do extra work / repairs to assemble it or find yourself deciding to just send it back. Less
