Great mattress.

Great mattress for a kid. This mattress is on the thinner side but very firm, you don’t ever feel like you are sinking. It came rolled up and needs time to lay and return to original thickness. No odor, and great quality. The only thing to note is that the corners may look slightly squished/rounded/not maximum thickness, and not as crisp of a corner as depicted in the photos. It may be too firm for some, but thats what makes it great for a child. Its not as heavy as other brands, so you can change the sheets without too much effort.

DO NOT BUY!!!! FIBERGLASS!!!

I never write reviews, and I mean never. But I feel this is extremely important and needs to be known. I have purchased 3 of these mattresses over the past couple of years. I have 2 full size mattresses and 1 queen size. I continued to purchase them because I loved the way they felt. I've been having breathing issues the past few years and the doctors have not been able to figure out why. I've had a cough for 2 straight years that will not go away and every night I lay down I feel like I'm choking to death and I itch all over. They just keep giving different inhalers and allergy medicine. In February I had a baby and purchased this mattress to put in her room right before. She has also had issues with breathing since she's been born. I started looking into the mattress more because I dropped my phone under the bed and shined a flashlight under it to look for it. I have toys stored under the bed and when the flashlight hit a toy I could see what looked like shiny dust and I thought how weird because the toys hadn’t been under there long enough to be covered in dust like that. I keep looking more and more and knew there was no way it was dust and I kept researching and researching and finally found a review on another website that someone had mentioned fiberglass.. and after looking at photos that is exactly what it is. It is made with fiberglass which is not stated at all. It is not safe. And all I can think about is how my infant has been sleeping in here with this the past 9 months. I’m beyond angry. The other two beds are flat to the ground, so I never seen anything under them, had they not been I may have noticed this sooner. I’m not even sure how I’m going to be able to get the fiberglass safely removed or if I will even be able to at all. This is extremely upsetting. I DO NOT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO GO THROUGH THIS. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME AND DO NOT BUT THIS! I recommend doing extensive research on any further mattress purchases because companies are sneaky. They put a cover on the mattress and hide the bad inside. Just always beware.

great to sleep on,do not remove cover for cleaning

the mattress is super comfortable. I've got a bad back and this has really made it to where I can sleep comfortably anyway I want to sleep. the cover can be unzipped and you can wash it. but I do not recommend it. there is a fiberglass wrap around the foam. that I was not aware of when I took it off. my kids accidentally ripped it open when I had the cover in the wash. which started the disaster of fiberglass all over my home. I was constantly coughing and my lungs hurt. I have COPD so that was not helping my situation. it seems like it took me forever constantly cleaning and vacuuming to get it out of my house. I ended up taking the mattress outside and cutting the fiberglass cover off of it. and vacuuming it down more to get the rest of the fiberglass that was stuck to the foam. but other than that drama it's been a really good mattress. they should warn people that it has fiberglass.

This mattress is...

I usually don’t write reviews but this one I felt I needed to do. Although I am only 19 years old, I have some back problems. I bought this bed knowing there was mixed reviews and I wanted to see for myself. I had a old sprint mattress before and it was about 10 years old so it was time for a change. I unpackaged the bed and waited the recommended 24-72 hours for it to fully inflate. I’ve had the bed for about a week now and I can say that it is great for the money. I knew it wasn’t the best bed possible but it sure is a lot more comfortable than a 10 year old mattress. It’s a medium feel (not to firm, not to soft) and I love that. I would give it a 5-star review but there is always room for improvements. The bed is sometimes warm and can cause some to be uncomfortable but it’s rare. I usually have the A/C on in the house and a fan on anyway so it isn’t a big deal. I definitely don’t understand why people give this mattress a terrible review. It’s a great mattress. Maybe they did something wrong? I don’t know. But if you follow the instructions, it’ll be just as great as it is for me.

FIRM Mattress, Great Quality

There are many Memory foam mattresses to choose from today. I did extensive research on these type mattresses. For one, the many Amazon mattresses sold on-line are made in China. You take chances in buying from - China. Generally speaking the off-gases and actual materials used vs what is installed is suspect when there is NO U.S.A. quality assurance in the most important areas of a memory foam mattress. I have purchased 5 memory foam mattresses in the past 2 months. THIS Modern Sleep Cool Gel Ventilation Gel 10.5 Mattress you will find to be FIRM. Not rock hard but with little give. I do NOT say this as a negative of this mattress. If you like mattresses on the firm side, you will love this mattress like my daughter does. This is who now sleeps on this mattress. My wife and I tried and my wife like it, I did not. I am a side sleeper and always preferred firm. I'm 6'2" and 180 lbs. I in-turn purchased the Puffy Lux mattress memory foam mattress ($1,500). I love the Puffy, but my wife is just O.K. with it. I say all of this because different memory foam mattresses can be slightly different or vastly different. The Modern Sleep Cool Gel I felt is a really great mattress in terms of manufacturer quality and its firm comfort. I almost kept this mattress for my wife and I but decided to take a chance and purchase the Puffy Lux. This mattress I am rating is well made, comfortable, seemed not hot nor cool to sleep on and at a great price. If you are more of a firm mattress sleeper, this one is for you!
