Travoy is designed for the urban commuter

This is my first time using a bike trailer for my home to office commutes. . . I think it is perfect for the urban commuter. Attributes I love:

Perfect for Golf & Shopping

I'm delighted with my Burley Travoy. I use it to take my golf clubs to the course, then disconnect from the bike and use it as a pull trolley, it works perfectly. My large golf bag fits perfectly and the trailor easily coped with London's speed bumps and even a cattle grid at the entrance to the golf course. I also have the upper and lower market bags which are great for my grocery shopping.

Korea Cross Country - Superb Performance

I came back from Korea this morning after a 10days cycling trip with my family from Incheon to Busan over a distance of 650km plus and elevation of easily 3000m plus. As my child is only 10 years old and my wife is not a competent cyclists, I decided to carry the family's load using this Burley Travoy Trailer after weeks of research and going through many reviews on YouTube, forums as well as this testimonial site. I took the leap of faith on this trailer and she never fails me despite minimum "test drive" prior to my trip. It navigated superbly through tight corners, bumpy round terrains, wet weather terrain whether on downhill or up and many more hurdles along the way. I fell once on the trip and once the bike tipped over while parked but this beauty held up ok and continued to do her job hauling about 30kg of load (bike spares, kits, drone, camera equipments, clothings etc.) smoothly and quietly that I almost at times forget I was pulling her. There was even one time when we had to push our bikes up a 18% gradient mountain pass and my young daughter just could not do it anymore that I placed her 8kg bike on top the load on the trailer and push it along just fine. It was a life saver. It was the single most important item during this trip and she performed superbly. I just want to give a shout out to the design team on this.

Takes a beating. Brilliant!

Have exceeded the weight limit (up to 80lbs) a few times. The frame flexes substantially but for short trips it can handle it. My wife doesn’t drive and has used this for nearly ten years as her primary errand runner thru northern New Mexico winters, dirt roads, hauling food for three dogs and 40 chickens. This trailer hasn’t needdd anything but tube replacements from the occasional goat head. We’re extremely impressed with it. If you’re on the fence, the ability to quickly detach it and use as a cart in the store is without doubt the game changer. Thanks for an awesome product, Burley!

Yhis is mt third travoy.

Yhis is mt third travoy. I am happy with the fold out hand truck foot. I wrote to burley a few years ago about the need for a larger point if contact for stability on commuter trains . I love that it has this feature now.

Enjoy my new Travoy

I am delighted with my recent purchase of a Burley Travoy cargo trailer. Last year I started carrying my golf clubs to the golf course on my bicycle in order to have a bit more exercise. However, carrying them over my shoulder was less than ideal. I am looking forward to using the Travoy to take the heavy burden this year. Additionally, I discovered that I can use the Travoy as my golf cart. Excellent dual duty.

Had an issue with my new Travoy

The lower shelf would not lock. Burley immediately replaced my original with a new trailer that works perfectly. Truly top notch warranty service. As good as it gets. And I love my Travoy! Have used it for bikepacking with my Aventon ebike, and even fully loaded to the max, it has performed flawlessly.

Perfect for Golf so far!

While I am just starting up with golf, it appears that the Travoy should work great as a trolley on the golf course. It already transports my clubs safety without issue. I commute weekly with the train to my job where I only have a bicycle and it’s the same town where I golf.

We are thrilled with our

We are thrilled with our new trailer. We replaced our tandem with a new Co Motion and we’re aware we would be unable to use our Bob Trailer with our tandem the way it was built. (Axle) The way the Burley folds up is a huge benefit to us as we travel in a small RV.Our recent trip we were able to pickup propane ice and groceries using the trailer.(not in one trip) We need to purchase the optional bags soon. The trailer is so quiet while towing. Great design and engineering Burley. Best Always, Jarry and Brenda

Love It!

We bought this to be able to grocery shop with our bikes. (We have Aventon Aventure.2 e-bikes in case you have one, too!) We needed the adapter and hitch for the bike rack, because my seat is way too low. We bought the top and bottom market bags as well. This trailer is easy to hitch and unhitch at the store, and could be used to haul lots of things besides groceries. It was such a great purchase my husband (who didn’t think we could grocery shop by bike) has asked for a second set of adapters for his bike rack as well. Yay for the Travis!

Discouraged

I might return. It seems a number of reviews were for the earlier model/version. This is my 2nd Travoy. I’m discouraged by the new model. The plastic handles seem worse quality so I worry about it’s durability with frequent folding/unfolding and maneuverability by hand. Also there is no bag included that can clip onto the Travoy to be used as a cargo bag. (It arrives in a bag that does not have the clips so it’s just to store the folded up Travoy. The most similar bag to the previous version is the bottom grocery bag but costs an additional $100. The new version skimped on things, except the cost is no more affordable than the 1st version. I had previously used this on and off my bike to wheel cargo to my therapy office/school but now it doesn’t work as well for that.

Painter’s Gear

I am a landscape painter. This is my second Burley Travoy. My first survived 9 years of heavy use. I use the Travoy as a handcart. It carries my easel, paints, brushes and support gear cross country, up the trail, down the beach. It gives me the ability to head out far from my car without carrying everything on my back.

The Travoy Functions as Reviewers Have Said

I watched several YouTube videos of people reviewing and demonstrating the Travoy before I purchased one. The positive reviews were correct. The trailer rolls smoothly, turns evenly, and goes over bumps without a sound or a spill. I can now carry more groceries and will load it with larger items that I had wished I had a way to carry in the past. With the trailer, I purchased a rain cover and a light kit. While both have functioned well, and I finally figured them out, I would have liked instructions for them. I realize that placing batteries in the light should be obvious, but I felt as if I might break the light when I was trying various approaches to opening it for the battery placement. For the rain cover, I am guessing at some of the attachments to the Travoy, but it seemed to work in my one use.

Multiple Uses for Travoy Trailer

I have 3 Burley Travoy trailers; 2 for Amateur (Ham) Radio, and 1 for grocery shopping. The Travoy is well made with excellent fit and finish. The Travoy can be easily configured for different purposes using available accessories. When not in use, the Travoy stands vertically, which minimizes floor space consumption in the garage.

Practically perfect in every way.

I bought the Travoy as I'm trying to live without a car in Miami (lol) and my ebike was struggling to carry enough groceries. I also live in a small apartment, so the Travoy looked perfect.

An absolute winner for my Burley Travoy!

My wife and I live in the historic centre of Amsterdam. We don't own a car and rely on our electric bikes for shopping and transport.

Very well made

This is made from good materials. The design makes it easy to fold up small to store away. I am not aware of it when pulling it with the bike. Know that it does not come with the upper and lower bags. They have to be bought separately at about 130 for the pair. It would be a bit easier to put the trailer on the bike if I were taller. I cannot get the hitch high enough for the pin to be vertical when the trailer part is over it.

[Rewarded Review] Multiuse easy to attach lightweight trailer

I can use this trailer for many things. I have already hauled a golf bag. It can be used to pull the golf bag around the course or simply mount to a golf cart. A fat tire bike can pull the cart with clubs around the course if they let you. I mount 2 baskets made by Basil to get groceries. I also intend to use it to haul water to my RV and gray and black water to the RV dump station. It looks like it was made for hauling 30 gallon water containers. This thing can be used for touring also if you mount a large water proof bag. This is also the lightest trailer out there at about 9 lbs. it also snaps on and off instantly. Get it. You will not be sorry.

2020 travoy

Ive taken out my 2020 travoy twice now, 1st w/ 41 lb pack, then 53lb load on gravel logging roads. I thought the Quick hitch would break when, several times the bike fell over, well the hitch is fine. At first I thought I would buy a cheaper knock off, but reviews were bad and Burley had great comments. At first my backpack side-pouches flopped in towards wheels, which I used bungee cords to secure. I also added stiff canvas to extend the wheel guards from my flopping side-pouches. Better packing w/ bungee cords has helped pack from flopping around. Ive sent an email to Burley, if they would sell extra straps, but they dont respond to my request. Really an excellent bike trailer, I am really impressed w/ the design.
