These file crates are "waterproof" and the different colors currrently: Black, Clear, Navy (etc., (?)), allow for better sorting of content material. However, I do wish they came in more colors (e.g., I have an attractive clear aquamarine colored one from the past).

Product was just ok - it suffices for what it is - a file box but the color is unique and not available elsewhere. ** However, the delivery company, Veyer, and Office Depot's shipment tracking was really disappointing. Ordered 4 items on Tues, 25 June - they got split into 3 shipments: This item was announced as arrived/delivered on Fri, 28 Jun but never showed up until many days later on Mon, 01 July. Some items in the 4-item shipment showed up as tracked on 29th, some never showed any tracking at all, and some were way off with their tracking and notifications and seemed as though they might've been stolen and would just not arrive at all. Overall, the shipping and tracking by Office Depot and their sub-contractor, Veyer, were very bad. * I ordered 4 very similar items from Staples on the very same day and had zero issues at all - those items were all delivered together 1 and half days later on the 27th.

I like the size, look and design of these boxes - EXCEPT for the fact the plastic is thin and they shatter and break with little effort. For the price of these I would expect much better plastic resistant to breakage. After all, these are file storage boxes that need to hold a lot of weight, get stacked and moved around a lot. I regret buying several of them because they all eventually broke under very gentle conditions.

Happy with purchase. Height is low enough to fit under my bed frame, and can fit quite a few folders in each. Impressive that lids snap for secure closure; not as heavy duty as a roughneck container, but still good. Would consider them medium weight; outer wire file folders sit well on inside gooves.

I really like these boxes. They are solid and can take some weight. These do hold hanging dividers and I use those as well. Dividers must be purchased separately.

I bought this in store for filing purchase receipts. The dark color reduces UV exposure which could have erased the printed receipt ink.
