Big and lumpy “chair”
The mattress is acceptable and suitable for kids or agile adults who can get on the floor to sleep on in a pinch. I ordered the size with the standard/double bed sized mattress. It’s hard to get into the bean bag cover and the result has always been an uneven, lumpy, not-too-attractive appearance that looks nothing like the put together bean bag chair in the ad. Definitely not a task for impatient and smaller statured ppl to undertake. It’s not comfortable to lounge in bc of the way the mattress is finally stuffed in and zippered up. And it’s BIG. If I had seen this in person first, I doubt I would’ve purchased it. That being said, the materials seem of decent quality & it’s in the back room/office out of sight and available should an unexpected guest need a place to sleep for the night, which is why I ordered it. Probly will end up with a kid moving into a college apartment. Or maybe will make the mattress an expensive dog bed.
comfy but not as. expected
I got the queen in fuchsia which is absolutely beautiful and vibrant. It's comfortable but looks like a round blob with no structure. Yes, I realize it is a bean bag, but it just isn't something I can actually sit in without needing to just lie down. I have plopped/flopped/flipped multiple times. I feel it maybe just didn't come with enough 'fluff' due to there being extra material, but this may just be the product. Excited to try as a bed, but cannot give yes/no as I have yet to attempt it. Again, the color is beautiful and it is incredibly soft, just didn't quite meet expectations.
Overall I am pretty pleased with the product.
Better than I thought
I thought this was a great idea for a spare bed for the kids when they had friends over. They destroyed the sofa bed over the years and this was a perfect replacement for the den. They have a super comfy gaming chair and an extra bed.
Don't waste your money if you can't buy the cover
We bought this for your 3 kids to have movie nights and living room camp out nights as well as a bed for our oldest when she comes to visit from college. Unfortunately, ours came with the "old" filling which is the tiniest shreds of memory foam. I thought "Let me pull the memory foam out and give the cover a good wash" ( which should be done every once and a while even if you have the cover) thinking it would be like our memory foam pillows, to my surprise I can't do that. I contacted customer support to get advice on how to clean and was told "that's why you should buy the protective cover". And that I will need to get the new foam (since the ones they ship have **** foam). He reccomends 4 at $30 each. Great. Another $120? Plus they want me to spend yet another $120 for the protective cover. So another $240 after spending over $320. That's not going to happen. So now I have a bean bag bed that can harbor all sorts of bacteria and no way to give it a good clean.
Giving away
This bag with full mattress is extremely heavy (35 lbs) and uncomfortable. The mattress appears to be chunks of foam, placed into a permanently zipped bag. It has been impossible to get the mattress into the cover without it feeling lumpy. We are two very active young grandparents and struggled with assembly even after watching your videos. Bought this for our grandkids for over night beds, the only ones using it are our 2 chihuahua's. We were sent a return label that didn't populate correctly. I do not recommend purchase of this product and I'm cautious of the five star reviews, were you sent a different mattress??
Do not purchase
Do not buy this product. It is not as advertised. I had this thing for over a year and not only was it an eye sore but it was not as advertised. First this was not comfortable in the slightest. We tried taking some of the stuffing out. I tried trying to mold the “bed option”. It was like laying on pieces of undone pillows. Very uneven and when you finally get it to lay flat it does not last. Now to the seat position was even worse. You can only fit one person kinda in this when it’s placed back in the sack. It also did not stay in place. I tried all the videos to help with the position of the chair option. It did not work. Believe me for the price go to the furniture store and buy a chair there. This was not worth it. Worst product ever!
Wanna love it
I got a king size for Christmas this year. I had one in the past and LOVED it! this one is low on foam and smells very strange. I don’t know what the foam is made of but it reminds me of old tire. Not constantly, but will pop in as you are lounging. Has anyone else had that problem? and how do you fluff it up to where you are not on the floor when you sit on it? Outside of those items. I love this bean bag! I am looking forward to many days lounging on this.
LOVE AT FIRST SIT!
First off, the package was delivered really quickly. And it was packaged so smart and tiny that I initially thought it couldn’t be right. But it was! I unpacked the ‘mattress’, fluffed it out, pulled the cover out of the box and followed the simple instructions to flip, stuff, shake and sit. Over the course of the next week the memory foam inside the mattress fluffed up and my beanbag swelled up to its full glory! But even before it was fully fluffed, my boys and I cuddled with books on our new favorite feature in their room. We bought the TWIN size and it offers plenty of room for me and one kid. If you have two cuddles who want to read with you, size up. That said, this full sized bean bag is the perfect addition to our boys’ bedroom. We haven’t had a sleepover yet, but I can’t wait to pull this bad boy out into a bed. Highly recommend!
A puddle of fabric
Not very happy with the overall lack of structure on the beanbag. The "full mattress" inside is lackluster - it feels like it's just a bunch of chunks of foam, broken apart, jammed inside an oversized bag - it's not a continuous padding like you would expect from a real mattress. When fully put together, this beanbag looks super mushy, like a random puddle of fabric in the middle of your living room. You sit on it, and your butt nearly touches the ground because it has ZERO structure to support the weight of a 5'11" 145lbs human being. I essentially felt forced to buy the "nest" version of this because at least that one comes with more foam and is a little smaller, providing a more steady experience when sitting down.
Glad I finally purchased
Better than our old love sac because this bag is duel purpose. It’s easy to convert from bag to bed and vice versa so much so that my 7 year old can help. It’s comfortable as a chair and bed. It’s easy to fluff up. We have the queen size which is a great size that doesn’t overwhelm a room but still big enough (in bag form) I’m 5ft10. Now for my only complaint. When you first receive the bag you unpack and then need to pull and fluff up the form pieces. My complaint is that I had to remove some larger pieces of foam because they were super hardened and couldn’t pull apart so I lost some volume and the process was messy! Otherwise this was a good purchase!
Love, love, LOVE these bean bags!
I bought my first CourdAroy's bean bag 11 years ago. I was moving into a new home, but I needed a temporary bed. Since I was moving, I did not want to move a bed. I searched for an alternative and came across CordAroy's. I bought it for the bed inside and it is super comfortable! I recently bought a king-sized one when I decided to get rid of couches in my loft and go with comfier furniture to convert it into a lounge for homework and movie watching. My kids love these! Unfortunately, my dogs do, too. Fortunately, the covers are washable. Totally worth the money--comfortable, easily-cleaned, and durable!
Great!
We were looking for added seating in our theatre/bonus room as well as the option of extra beds for when our kids have sleepovers with their friends. The beds come packaged well. They take alot of elbow grease to break apart the foam and spread out. The smell was incredibly strong for a few days. We kept fluffing and flipping the bed for at least 48 hrs before we stuffed them into the cover. We haven't used them as beds yet, but I think they'll be more than adequate for kids. I was hesitant to purchase since other reviews say they were very flat, but knowing I can contact customer service for additional foam, made me at ease. Overall I am satisfied.
Queen chair
It was pretty amazing how thick it got when it opened. Be sure to watch the video, bust up the foam and flip it multiple times. There’s a few tips that need to be followed for it to expand properly and place it in the cover. We waited 3 days before putting it in the plush chair cover. We flipped it multiple times over those days. I recommend the waterproof cover too. My wife loves it, naps in it comfortably and she’s had two lumbar surgeries as well as neck issues. She got a pouf. She says she could live in this chair it’s so comfortable and cover is so soft. She is happy with the look and the fact the covers are washable. .
Seven Year Later--Still in Love
Originally, I purchased a Cordaroy beanbag for my son's room so he could have sleepovers. He was eleven or twelve at the time. It worked fabulously. As he grew, he moved the beanbag down to a multipurpose room where friends sometimes slept over. We have a sofabed there, as well.
Horrified
I can't tell you how disappointed I was. I had this for two years before I used it as a mattress for guests. I tested it out and found it lumpy and uncomfortable like sleeping on cement. This was not cheap. It was heavy to move and eventually I had to put it away. Later it happened to get ripped and out came not memory foam or even large pieces of foam. Pieces in small odd sizes. It looked like they took all their scraps or someone else's scraps and just poured it in
Cozy
Overall, I’m pleased with this product. My order arrived quickly and well packaged. The bean bag itself was a bit cumbersome to unpack and a little challenging for one person to get into the accompanying cover but I managed with minimal struggle; it is large and heavy and not everyone will be able to get it set up without help. Given the price point, my expectations were low. I expected it would be smaller and less comfortable than the pictures suggested. To my pleasant surprise, the overall size of the bag is pretty decent, the cover is extremely soft, and the fabric doesn’t look cheap or otherwise ****. My kids really enjoy it, and an average size adult can sit comfortably. That said, the bag is not nearly as full or plush as it appears. While it does expand and bulk up a bit over the first few days, you can and will still feel floor beneath you; I have found that you can purposefully arrange the bag and “fluff” it a bit before use to minimize contact with hard surface. I would absolutely never jump or fall onto the bag, and have advised my kids not to either, as you will almost certainly make contact with the floor, hard. Overall- I’m not mad at all. For the money, it’s a good little place to sit
Cute but very uncomfortable
I had really high hopes for this to be my reading chair and an extra bed when needed. I have fluffed and tossed the chair so many times it try to get it right, but it is just not comfortable to relax in. Either feels lumpy and I don’t quite sink in or I sink in but feel like I am sliding out of it.
