Reduced Standard Size

If you're replacing existing wall plates, you'd better measure the space you need to cover. Apparently every industry there is has been busy reducing "standard" sizes in order to protect their profits. Once I put these on the wall, I found they are just enough smaller than the old plates to leave exposed discolored or rough places that were covered by the old plates. So, now there's unexpected work to do, which may include having to paint a room I wasn't intending to paint just yet.

I loved this wall plate. The color and finish was exactly what I was looking for. I like the moderate flexibility that this metal wall plate offers. I needed a wall plate that could handle a little bend because the electric outlet protruded just a bit (it never was placed deep enough into the wall by the electrician). This item far out performs other wall plates I've used. The addition of a satin nickel toggle switch was perfect.
